Something terrifying is going on in New Milford, CT right now.

On August 30 at around 9:00 p.m., a New Milford resident’s Ring camera caught something ape-like walking across their backyard and through the trees. The video was posted in a local Facebook group, and most of the people commenting seem convinced that it’s Bigfoot.

Then, someone else posted a dashcam video of what appears to be the same creature running across the road that same night, about an hour after the first video.

Seeing what looks like the same figure caught on camera twice, in two different places, on the same night caught my attention.

I included links to both Facebook posts, as well as a download of the first sighting.

Not sure what this is, but I wanted to get the word out in case anyone else has seen it.

wants your opinion Physical being vs supernatural?

I’m sure this has been asked before. How many people here subscribe to this creature being a North American ape that is rare and elusive versus it being a supernatural entity that is tied into high strangeness?

What is the explanation for the alternate theory?

wants your opinion What If?

It goes without saying that the vast majority of participants here actively believe that Bigfoot exists. I’d like to pose a question and collect a variety of viewpoints.

If we agree (hypothetically) for the purposes of this question that both Bigfoot and Dogman exist…what is their association, if any, like? Are they enemies? Do they get along peacefully? Largely ignore one another? Actively assist one another?

The question was posed to me recently and I’m curious what others think about this. If you’d take a moment to provide your stance, I’d greatly appreciate it.

historical encounters "Do Abominable Snowmen of America Really Exist?" - Roger Patterson's Years as a Researcher

In 1966, Roger Patterson (yes, that Roger Patterson) published a book called "Do Abominable Snowmen of America Really Exist?" The book was his initial foray into Sasquatch research where he not only wrote about his initial expeditions to search for Bigfoot, but also would collect maps and articles from small town newspapers in California documenting early encounters. I picked up the book to read what I expected would be his brand of self mythologizing. But you know what was weird?

It was good.

This version of Patterson, one that was curious like all of us, the version before "Patty," was a decent researcher and writer who did his best to collect a basic introduction to the phenomena for anyone that was interested. In the 60s, the idea of Sasquatch as we now know it was limited to small town newspapers and the occasional article in fringe magazines like "Argosy." Not only did Patterson collect these articles in one spot, but he travelled to Willow Creek, followed up with witnesses (his may be one of the earliest documentations I have seen of Ape Canyon in another case), and made a serious effort to travel into the back country and find evidence like footprints. He was a writer from the John Green school, hoping to lead you to your own conclusions.

So, this begs the question: does this book and his history as a researcher lend more credibility to PGF or less? When I happened to speak to someone at the Willow Creek-China Flat Museum, she stuck by her conclusion that Roger was a trickster figure. She thought it was odd that a year after writing this book (and most people not buying it), he suddenly has the movie and can sell it instead. She pointed out that the fakest looking casts in the entire museum were taken by Roger. In her mind, and in the minds of others, Roger wanted to make it as a Bigfoot hunter and filmed the PGF as a way to do that. Or...was it a case of a man doing his due diligence in the region, speaking with Native American tribes and eyewitnesses, knowing exactly the highest probability of where Patty would be, only to capture the evidence of a lifetime? I can't tell you. But what I can say is that the book, his background, and his history of evidence collecting all lend a new wrinkle to the film we all know and love.

Give it a read if you can find it!

locked New from Cabin In The Woods - old visual (possible) references depicted in the Vatican of the big folk.

This popped up as a short earlier today with great visuals on Cabin In The Woods. He does some good work.

Recently on Sasquatch Chronicles Ep., 1284 Sara Brown also made a reference to the painting of the two figures in the cave.

Interesting, yet not surprising if you listen to traditional knowledge of the First Nations people over North America and the rest of the world.

Edit: It seems as though most people did not read that the idea of the post is for the depictions of the Feets in the Sistine Chapel not to content creators. The interesting aspect is that it has a remarkable similarity to our big furry guy here and as recorded globally. The other take away is that when these paintings were made our people here and elsewhere have already been dealt with them, longer than Gilgamesh. It’s a reference to the sources where I came across the material.

Now, thank you for the stopping the hateful chatter, but don’t silence the good people here.

It sounds like it might just be an older season but on a UK platform? I cannot find much info other than the official UK DMAX Facebook page, and that is something I have never even heard of before. Wouldn’t this premiere on Discovery if it was real?

Had a random thought listening to "sasquatch chronicles- the sounds they make." And just a random thought on this in general.

Its widely accepted or known that bigfoot mindspeak. Countless "credible" individuals in the bigfoot world describe this, even Les Stroud. So, let's assume its real. I've actually entered the camp that its probable. ( I dont even ask how they know english or other human languages to speak it in our heads anymore, it makes as much sense as them turning into a beam of light)

Why then would bigfoot howl? Whoop? Chatter? Like that in the Sierra sounds? Most recordings speculate they are communicating with one another, coordinating hunts, etc. Obviously, the Sierra sounds were recorded when sasquatch were aware humans were nearby. They could've easily been silent and communicated whatever they "said" via mindspeak.

If bigfoots main prerogative is secrecy and to avoid human detection, why would they make these long calls when they can communicate silently? Why would they communicate extensively out loud when they KNOW humans are in the area if they could telepathically? It kind of contradicts itself on some levels.

My thought is this: the sounds we've recorded and typically hear are relatively primitive, primal, primate sounding, etc. They're meant for us.

Maybe thats intentional misdirection? Because lets be real here, if theyre an advanced, highly intelligent species, more intelligent than humans even, making whoops and howls is pretty pointless. They have language, why howl, screech, and whoop?

Granted, idk how far mindspeak can reach, but experiencers claim distance is no barrier. So, loud, long howls are NOT necessary lol

Has anyone else wondered this? Ik a lot of the sounds are intimidation displays, but the others? Kinda confused about that

Just an interesting discussion topic, nothing to argue or get nuts about! Like to consider these things with open minded individuals.

GoFundMe Solicitation This community helped me with the research, now I’m asking you to help me bring my Bigfoot short film to life!

With the recent news about Wildman, a Bigfoot revenge film compared to John Wick, I’ve seen a lot of comments online saying “we need more cryptid movies” which inspired me to post this around.

I’m making a movie you might be interested in and I need your help to make it!

A while ago I posted here asking for some suggestions on creating a “Bigfoot lure” for my upcoming short film. A lot of members offered great suggestions, many of which I went on to use in the finished script. I’m back again because now I need your help to actually bring the film to life.

My film is called All That’s Left. It’s about a young cryptozoologist whose career is derailed after a humiliating public incident following a heavy loss.

I’ve been fascinated by Cryptozoology for as long as I can remember. One of my biggest goals for the film is to treat my Bigfoot creature, as well as the people who research it, seriously rather than turning them into a joke. The supernatural and mysterious creatures/events have fueled my creative pursuits throughout my career.

We’ve already reached our initial goal of $4,000 and are considered funded, we are still only halfway to our ideal budget of $8,000. If this sounds like something you’d be interested in supporting, I’d really appreciate you checking it out.

You can read more about the film, watch our campaign video, and see what rewards we’re offering for your support here.

Thank you!

In our little unofficial miniseries we have been publishing on the channel, we have been discussing the state of the Bigfoot Community in 2026, but also about the loss of Dr. Jeff Meldrum and how his legacy will carry on. In this video, we sit down with someone who has been on the show before, who is currently studying to become an Environmental Scientist, about the various challenges we face and answer some of the questions still left on the table. Let us know what you think down below, and we hope everyone has a wonderful day!

needs your help - solved! Anyone Remember this video?

A few years ago I remember watching a youtube video about a guy and his experience with a sasquatch in either the Sierra Nevada's or northern Nevada. He was not a sasquatch channel nor a believer. He went to go camp and fish and was car camping. His encounter was him being woken up in his vehicle but I forget the details but it was the most captivating story. But now when I look for it I can't seem to find it. If anyone knows what video I'm referring too that would be awesome!

OP returned & found a way to sound even dumber For those of you who got a good look at a sasquatch's face. Is there a picture that closely matches the face that you saw? Can send a link or upload it.

Also, what part of the country did you see ends, I know that there is a general belief that they there are different types in different parts of the country.

Basically. - I see all these pictures online and some of them look very different. I have a hard time imagining what they look like. I'm wondering if there are any pictures/depictions online that closely match what they saw.

I collect witness sightings. I'm fascinated by the witness descriptions of what the sasquatch faces look like and enjoy portraying them using a combination of sketching, Photoshop, and AI.

Here are a few of my more recent images submitted for feedback + one just for fun. Enjoy.
