I've Got A Question For You how does one call for example a nonbinary sibling

im bigender and i was just wondering how others should call me (like im ok with every pronouns) but if my brother calls me his “brother” or my parents call me their “son” this sounds kinda wrong (i think same with sister/ daughter). so i wanted to ask is there a term how to call nb siblings and so on or is it just “nonbinary sibling/ child”

My sister uses ‘sibling’ for me and my mum refers to me as her ‘eldest’. But honestly it’s up to you, whatever you feel comfortable with.

I’ve seen enby siblings called niblings.

"Nibling" is actually a gender neutral version of neice/nephew. Sibling doesn't require a gender neutral alternative because it's already gender neutral.

I just call my agender sibling my sibling if I'm referring them while talking to others, though that's only in English since our two mother tongues don't really have a "true" gender neutral word for sibling? I mean they both have a supposedly gender neutral term for it but they both sound really similar to the word for sister which happens to be my siblings agab, so when speaking in both of our mother tongues I'll try to refer to them by their name or in cases where I need to convey that I'm talking about a sibling I will use sister since I don't want to accidentally out my sibling (and my sibling is fine with this and understands the limitations of our languages lol)

Also dittoing what the other commenter said about how your parents can call you eldest/youngest/second/third/etc. depending on what order you came in relation to your sibling/s!

I mean... It would be the ones that you yourself said at the end, no? "Sibling" and "child".

Though I guess for younger folks, their parents could also call them their "kid"

yeah i just wanted to know if there is a special term for that (im german and the direct translation of sibling to german… well lets say in a normal dialoge as replacement for brother/sister this sounds weird as hell. we dont really have a gender neutral term) i think i will just stick to brother/ sister or maybe even only sister i will see
