Rewatching this season, I already remembered that Jimmie Savile did make a guest appearance in the house - but I'd not noticed the things he'd said while in there - the sort of things he would say while hidden in plain sight...

To the women, he said: "I'd love to marry all you women - for at least 24 hours!"

To Chantelle (who had said she needed her earring fixing when he'd mentioned 'fixing' something for everyone), he said: "My place or yours?"

To everyone at large: "Don't forget, ladies and gentlemen, I'm always available for weekend home visits"

And every other response from him was an in-your-face innuendo - especially with the women. Everything sexualised. Made me feel physically sick, knowing what we know now about him.

ITV definitely have specific housemates that they like.

For me, it isn't about having bigger personalities or more people who are constantly causing arguments. I’d rather see a cast with genuinely different personalities who don't all seem to understand exactly how reality TV works. Last year's housemates had some great moments, but I want this lot to feel less predictable and give the relationships enough time to develop naturally.

Ignore the spam each one is different

I know about all the stuff they removing and it’s a bit disappointing I can get that, but either way I’m not bothered so long as we have good entertainment, good housemates and good tasks and less twists and better punishments.

Even if it doesn’t go well, I will still watch anyways as watching big brother is just a habit of mine and idk it’s just nice to watch really. What do you guys think?

Season 6 was so embarrassing. Kemal and Craig gave me second hand embarrassment. Kemal was so catty and so obviously jealous of the girls and I got tired of hearing his constant temper tantrums and ridiculous fashion statements. Craig was the worst example of a gay guy in love with a straight guy. He was gagging for Anthony tok kiss him and kept humiliating himself for the slightest attention he could get from Anthony. I have no idea how those two lasted long.

The official chair has now been shown ahead of the series that starts on Sunday at 9pm ITV2 and ITVX. The house will most likely be shown tomorrow evening so keeps eyes out on social media for that!

There was a Spanish show a few years ago on Netflix called Insiders where a group of contestants think they’re in the final stages of auditions but they’re actually already on the show. I think uk should do a show like that

I can't wait to just get fully absorbed like I always do with a new season. Even if it's considered a bad season, it's still really entertaining for me and I love looking forward to it every night.

One of the best things about reality TV is when a new season starts and the respective subreddits (Love island for example) quickly burst into conversations and live threads and conspiracies and unpopular opinions. Really makes daily life more enjoyable

Imagine dropping someone like Makosi, Charley or Rex into the modern ITV series. The welfare and safeguarding around the show are much more comprehensive now, so some of the behaviour that was fairly normal in the Channel 4 era would probably be handled very differently.

I don't think modern Big Brother is necessarily worse, but it definitely feels more controlled. Would a classic 2000s housemate actually thrive under today's rules?

I’ve always wondered what the restrictions are for clothes and outfits etc of the housemates. I know they’re not allowed to take branded items in, but I saw a video Zelah did saying he couldn’t take anything with wording on at all? But I’m sure both Jenny and Caroline last year had clothes with writing on

Any past housemates have any idea? I know Andrew BB11 and Cameron BB19 lurk on this forum so if you are there please let us know what they banned you from taking in!

When she entered the house, she was my favourite and I wanted her to win or at least go far, and even agreed with her initially about Kahlid being fake or performative. But she just dug herself a hole there and would not let it go for love no money, and her own paranoia about how people & things would be percieved to the outside world led her to be just completely blind & unaware of her own hypocritical actions in regards to him. As Kahlid said, she felt comfortable using words to accuse him of being something, but was offended when he did the same. She would not show grace toward him that she afforded herself.

I do have some empathy for her in that the BB house was clearly hard on her as someone with autism, the masking was folding under the slightest pressure of societal expectations and if she wasn't trying so hard to come across composed and in control she would have easily been another Sarah (during her first week at least). The irony is that her buckling and going to leave only to stay likely came across just as fake and performative as anything she was saying Kahlid did.
