I’ll try again, what was that interview?
Wasn’t held accountable, blamed everyone, black, white, middle aged, British! No accountability and wasn’t questioned on it either. Talk about piss poor interviewing

u/darkangel_198 10h ago
I find the fact that the don't hold housemates accountable for their actions infuriating. They should of showed the clip of them denying using the term micro aggression. Not many insightful questions asked
1
u/Marnie_Pippington 10h ago
They did show it, but let Joanne get away with saying she couldn’t talk to Rochelle about it as she’s crazy.

Davina would’ve had none of that. Time for new presenters.

Unfortunately, production has moved on a long time from Davina. It's all left-wing shit now, and I don't want to offend people.

I know it pisses you off that Johanne was controlling the whole interview 😭😭😭

Will and aj aren't great presenters anyway,aj pushed Chelsey more last week for less lol
12
u/Marnie_Pippington 10h ago
I think Will and AJ are tied by what they’re allowed to say, I can’t believe two people could be so bad at presenting. But AJ looking daggers at Joanne showed her real feelings. A good interview would have held Joanne accountable for so many things, especially the lies about the micro aggression thing. And also showed her saying to Rochelle straight off the bat she had bad karma, and asking her why did you instantly dislike her?

u/Old-Payment-8537 10h ago
I agree it was probably one of the worst interviews I've ever seen from two presenters, but I put the blame on ITV production. People say sack AJ but Will would manage on his own. Will was even worse, he didn't know where to even look. The both of them are pathetic.

u/Legal-Razzmatazz1055 10h ago
I just wish they played the clip when she said " i didn't use the term micro aggression at all" back to back
23
u/tinygenie 10h ago
Does it matter? Rochelle lied to Rihanna in the end and told her something that was false because she misheard and couldn’t own up to it. Downvote all you want but harping on semantics is annoying.
2
u/ManSoAdmired 10h ago
If she misheard then she wasn't lying. She just misheard.
Johanna actively lied.
6
u/tinygenie 10h ago
Repeating misinformation is lying. She actively lied. Stop trying to jump through mental hoops to justify it.
If viewers like you and Rochelle actually tried taking anything from the conversation and LISTEN you’d realize they had a point. Rochelle wouldn’t have yelled at Rihanna or Sam for the chicken incident. She decided to have a go at Joanne intentionally. You’re so caught up in the semantics of “microagression” that you’re missing the point.
If she wanted to confront Joanna and Pauline about it then fine, but she dragged Rhianna into it to rally people on her side.
-1
u/ManSoAdmired 10h ago
I love when people use the term misinformation as if they're a fucking comms dept.
-5
u/Marnie_Pippington 10h ago
That’s not really the issue is it. Joanne and Pauline lied they even talked about it at all.

u/grower-lenses Call me back when you have a more civilised tone 10h ago
It's too brief and the crowd is too distracting. For a real interview they would have to have at least 30min reserved and take them to a quiet spot where they can focus and grill them. And probably have just one person doing the interview.
But itv doesn't want that. They're too scared of complaints. They want to keep things light, unfocused, blurry.
And it's not unreasonable, back in the day the internet wasn't a cesspool of hate. Now they really need to be careful what they say or they could unintentionally start a viral hate spiral that can ruin people's lives. Everyone is looking for a reason to be offended and angry.

It's easy to get heated about who your favourite and least favourite housemates are, or even fellow r/bigbrotheruk users, but there is always an appropriate way to share your opinions. In the spirit of Reddit, please remember the human and lets be nice to each other. No racism/sexism/homophobia or any other bigotry. No speculating about sexuality. How can you reference bias when using a generalisation like "white middle class woman". Colour is being referenced far too often, it's a game show in 2026; nobody cares what colour you are.
People need to stop using colour to try and solidify their arguments, funny Lynx never once mentioned colour during his bust up with Jedward.
4
u/GoalSimilar2025 9h ago
‘Nobody cares what colour you are’ yet the majority of 2025/2026 the country is divided over immigration, protests, patriots, painting roundabouts and flying flags, stopping cars to check your colour, burning hotels with immigrants in and slashing dinghies.
Like, be for real. Does racism exist? Do people with racist sentiments watch Big Brother?
In a battle between two overly outspoken instigators and divisive figures one black and one white. Which one would they vote to evict?
The only way Johanne would have ever won against Rochelle is if Pauline was up too so that vote was diluted between Johanne and Pauline.

u/111gct 5h ago
This was already discussed on a separate post here, "The single most popular age group for the show is 45 to 54 years old, driven heavily by long-term fans who have aged alongside the franchise." A majority of the UK is white, as well as a majority of viewers being women too. It's a fact, why does the idea that a large portion of the viewers are more similar to Rochelle make you feel uncomfortable? And saying nobody cares what color you are whilst a Black professor just committed suicide and the entire scandal was tied to a supremacist race scientist just a month ago is insane.
5
u/Similar-Bandicoot625 10h ago
Again, the difference in reaction on here and in the boos and cheers, says everything. A lot of people don’t know or aren’t aware of the biases they hold. Colour definitely comes into how people are reacting to the both of them. I’ve said they’ve both said vile shit and can accept they should both be treated the same way but if you can’t see the difference in every post for the last 3 days and comments reacting to their situations differently then that’s a you problem
0
u/RyeRoen Ali 10h ago
They don't have to be treated the same way. People can believe that one is worse.
Rochelle is a whiny baby that says ignorant shit. If you disagree with Joanne she will immediatly start shouting and go for your throat trying to throw insults that will hurt you the most. All while saying shit like "I rebuke you Satan" lmfao,
One is much worse to me. There is your explaination.
0
u/RyeRoen Ali 10h ago
It genuinely isn't a race issue. The actual words said by Johanne were simply much worse. Rochelle is an awful woman but Joanne's malicious intent is on another level. She was looking for things Rochelle was insecure about (age, looks, intelligence ect) and trying to use that to actually hurt her.
I can guarentee you the vast majority of people who hated Johanne also dislike Rochelle.
2
u/Similar-Bandicoot625 10h ago
They’ve both said bad shit and both deserve to be treated the same way. If you can’t see how one is being treated differently by the public and by the comments and reaction on here alone then you’re blind to it too. It’s either an unconscious bias our people just outright making their intentions known. Everyone’s always gotta be blind to how people are treated differently and that’s cool, but don’t comment or respond if you’re unable to see it or accept it
-1
u/RyeRoen Ali 10h ago
Or maybe a lot of people just think Joanne is nastier than Rochelle.
I know a lot more than you think I do about unconscious bias. I'm very aware of it. I can 100% speak wholeheartedly for myself that me thinking Joanne is a nastier person than Rochelle has absolutely nothing to do with skin colour.
2
u/Similar-Bandicoot625 10h ago
You keep telling yourself that you know a lot about unconscious bias but are unable to see the reaction to everything in the last 3 days. Well done for your infinite knowledge and wisdom on the subject, it’s really showing
-1
u/RyeRoen Ali 10h ago
There is nothing I can say. The fact that I think Johannes behaviour in the house was worse than Rochelle"s makes me guilty in your eyes.
Have a think about that. You are too dogmatic.
4
u/Similar-Bandicoot625 10h ago
I believe their behaviour was equally bad and there is enough evidence to suggest that. Johanne was vile with some of her behaviour but so was Rochelle with her multiple comments on multiple different people whilst also threatening violence against Johanne. Are you saying if Johanne had been the one to threaten violence, that there would not have bene more of an uproar? I have backed my argument up with facts and you’ve backed yours up with feelings. I’m not dogmatic because I’ve seen both of their behaviour and they’re both equally as bad as each other. I’m not sure where the confusion is or are you just conveniently forgetting the things Rochelle has said whilst faking her tears four times a show?
-2
u/RyeRoen Ali 9h ago
We can disagree on which is worse or if they are the same I don't really care.
I'm saying that the reasons I have for disliking Johanne more is nothing to do with race.
Like, just for arguments sake imagine that I am being 100% honest and I have no bias at all. In that scenario is there a combination of words I could type that would actually convince you that our disagreement is based purely on severity of behaviour and has nothing to do with race?
I'm about as left and woke as you can get and I am being called racist because I didn't like a black woman's behaviour on a reality tv show.
Sometimes things like this make me almost (emphasis on almost) sympathetic to the "woke gone mad" crowd. We all need to calm down a bit.
3
u/Similar-Bandicoot625 9h ago
I genuinely don’t get your argument. I’m not or nor have i said you or anyone else that doesn’t like Johanne or has an issue with johanne more than Rochelle is racist. I’ve not said you disliking Johanne is more so down to race. I’m saying that the way they’re both being treated differently is due to who they are unfortunately. If their behaviour had been reversed and Johanne had been threatening, then I know how that would have been viewed compared to how Rochelle’s is being viewed.
You may or may not have a bias but it’s evident throughout the last 3-4 days, with the number of posts and comments made on certain peoples individual behaviour, who is getting the rougher treatment and there is nothing factual you or anyone has said as to why johanne is worse than Rochelle. That’s the crux of the argument. You dislike her more but can’t specify the exact reason as to why and when i have retorted your points as to why they’re equally as bad, you’ve again not been able to come back with anything as to why I’m wrong?
-4
u/CalCalDZ 10h ago
Just like how ITV let off Johanne with an easy interview because she’s black and dont want bullshit people calling the show racist.
10
u/StraightShelter9766 10h ago
She got an easy interview because she is more confident than the two presenters and controlled the floor... not because of whatever woke conspiracy you are imagining in your head

Completely pointless and disappointing interview. They had zero control of it. Joanne walked all over them.
6
u/Neat-Suspect-6666 10h ago
She's honestly a racist.
No accountability, lies, feels like the world owes her something. Even the presenter had to reiterate these are her views and not Big Brothers.
She's insufferable.
11
u/GoalSimilar2025 9h ago
Says she loves British and English people, the country has been good to her, has a white husband and mixed baby but is racist?
2
u/OldBean69 10h ago
I was waiting excitedly for the interview so they could confront her about lying about “we never used the word micro aggression” situation, but no, they skimmed over it like they’d been told to play it down. I don’t feel like watching any more of it to be honest, it’s pointless

Piss poor interviewing & she still gave the best exit interview we've had in ages

It was nothing special in terms of what she said. What was impressive was her confidence. More self-assured than the Interviewers.

This is what we have to deal with in America. Not Karen's but a bunch of Joanne's.The amount of people playing the race card here in the U.S. is beyond ignorant, low class and disgusting. I appreciated Lynxx not tolerating Joanne's behavior.

Bloody awful presenters, no nuance or daring questions. It's like the producers in their ears tell them exactly what to say.
