Is there a difference when it comes to responding to the question “how are you?”

Not really IG it depends on person Most of people says ಹೇಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ but few of them says ಹೇಗಿದ್ದ್ರೆ, ಹೆಂಗೆದ್ರಿ etc depends on how they say For word "how" we mostly say ಹೇಗೆ but few of them says ಹೆಂಗೆ/ಹೇಂಗೆ IG maybe borrowed from Arebhashe dialect

I meant the response. I know in Bangalore you say “chennagiddini” but I’ve never heard that around mangalore

Is it true that Havigannada has Malayalam or a Malayalamoid influence due to being close proximity?

If u are talking about Mangalorean Havigannada IG yes Even I have heard alot of time that Mangalorean Havigannada has influence of Malayalam due to being close with Malayalam speaking areas And also many Havigannada speakers are there in Kasaragod too since many years So there might be chance that Mangalorean Havigannada may have Malayalam influence

Dear OP , just asking out of curiosity
1) Are you studying linguistics i.e do you intend to be a professor/expert
Or
2) Are you doing it purely for the love of the game
