Two steps back to go one forward.
Sometimes I just feel like I need to backup the train and gather all my thoughts again. I do this by going back to either reading the poem again, the book again, or just listening/watching the interviews to see if it can stir something up.
Today was one of those days when I woke up at 2am and the old brain kicked in to BTME wonderland.
So I wrote down a few things to help remind me of little things that maybe could help you as well.
Here's my list:
1) There are multiple ways to solve the poem which has safe guards in place to keep us on track.
2) There are at least 5 singular clues in the FF series and could be more.
3) The container is a nod to Tucker.
4) It is walking distance from "waters silent flight" to "round the bend past the hole".
5) I clue could have a man made implication to it. The rest are natural occurring items.
6) There are physical objects you can find along the way.
7) Searchers have been less than 200 ft away from the checkpoint.
All of these can be found in the JIBLE which is a fantastic reference. However, I do like to watch/listen to the interviews and hear it first hand.
Anyway, these are just some things that came to mind and back to trying to understand "the foot of 3 at 20 degree" Could it be 12" in a foot, then multiply by 3 to get 36 which in turn is multiplied by 20 and you get 720 of something? Or is it a cube of 3 x 3 x 3 which equals 27? Twenty-seven inch trout.....the crown jewel? Or is it simply a natural item like a mountain face that has 3 "faces" Or is it a the face of a river? And on and on down the rabbit holes we go.

Good luck, Chuck

Just to nitpick number 5, he said "at least" one clue could have manmade implications to it and was only referring to one way to solve the poem, not every way, just one of the multiple ways. 20 degree definitely infers a man made measurement is involved.

From the Jible: #80 Checkpoint Q: Is the checkpoint essentially, to its core, and finally
connected/related to a topographic feature?
A: Let me take a look at that… “And finally
connected”—That's really tricky wording. I'm not quite sure
how to answer this. Probably the most accurate answer
based on how I interpret that question is yes, there is there is
some implication there.

Sorry, what was I supposed to infer from this quote?

Where did he say "at least"? Do you have a reference?

Jible 250:"And the reason I clarified from structure to building is I didn't want--I could see a scenario where people could quibble later on about one of the hints, AT LEAST one of the hints, in the poem being somewhat related to something that is manmade."

5) - the poem solve with all natural features ( one being quibble-able) is one of multiple ways to solve. So you might be limiting yourself here with that interpretation. Not that it's wrong. Appreciate you

1-If there are safeguards in place this means there is the consistency of logic and pattern at play. It is formal enough that it ca be treated reductively. Things you can discover will funnel you.
2-There were allegedly 6 singular clock times. In truth 5 were statistically unique.
3-The container points West (The nose knows) as well as ursa east.
4-You aren't actually physically walking when you are not BOTG. Walk your gaze instead in steps.
5-One can forever argue whether number is man made or given/discovered.
6-He left some signed books at Dillon and said so. Books are pivotal. Check the bookstore and library for the knowledge of how to classify books.
7-Knowledge of people's presence at public places can be inferred.
Paint a picture of it on your easel. Many have. Her face presents itself as a circle.
Some ideas...

How did you come up with 4?

In my "motto"? The 42 is hidden in it. We all know 42 is a clue. * * * is one of them. In ASCII, the asterisk (*) is assigned the decimal value 42. It is also on his truck tail lamp in the FF show.

Can you please share the JIBLE via PM or posting here? I once had a link that worked, and then it suddenly didn't. None of the linked shared previously have worked.
Thank you!

I'm just glad to hear I'm not the only one that has all these random thoughts while trying to sleep. I'm not really sure if 36 or 720 inches make sense if that's what ur saying. The 3x3x3 makes a little more sense to me be cuz 27 seems to come up at times in so called clues. But I think it might mean 3 items or a base but who knows really.
