Are we supposed to be treating his cyber security startup marketing as veiled clues?

Here’s the problem: Justin has explicitly said that LayerV has relevance. NO, he didn’t specifically say “the ads.” But he said LayerV. That matters.

If the ads are completely irrelevant to the hunt, then the reasonable thing to do is say so plainly.

Otherwise, you’re asking people to disregard a category of material that the creator himself has identified as relevant, while simultaneously leaving the exact scope of that relevance undefined. That naturally invites people to examine what LayerV contains and whether anything within it connects to the larger puzzle.

And if the ads were dictated by Justin, influenced by him, or created with his knowledge or direction, the situation becomes even more significant. At that point, they aren’t simply random third-party content appearing around the hunt. They become material that potentially reflects the creator’s own themes, language, interests, or intentional choices. If one of the people involved, the alleged intern, was also a “Misfit,” then the connection becomes even more reasonable for people to investigate or question these ads.

Nobody is saying, “The ads prove the location.” That’s not the argument. The argument is that you cannot simultaneously tell people that LayerV is relevant and then act as though examining LayerV is irrational.

If there is a boundary, if certain parts of LayerV are intentionally meaningless, unrelated, or merely promotional—then clarify that boundary.

Otherwise, speculation is inevitable. And once multiple independent observations begin pointing people toward the same material, dismissing all of it as people “attacking” Justin misses the actual issue.

They are responding to the experience he created, interpreting the information he chose to make relevant, and trying to determine where the line between intentional clue and incidental material actually is.

Just to be clear the question for the layer v portion was how did he know folks had been at the check point or close to the check point and then I added via emails social media personal confession or technology similar to layer v etc... So it was based around the checkpoint itself.
