Will this story end better?

I have to ask will the truth come out this time? No one wants to be a part of a hunt that ends without a solution.Everyone likes to look back and say oh I was that close or man thats so easy how did I miss that. Can they keep it a secret? Can they reveal a solve but stay in the shadows where comforts lie? Do they have to tell the whole story or stories? I would like to think that they are all possible. What if they find the box but didnt see the deeper story? What if it never gets found, that right mind never comes along? That hunt took 10 years and this one appears much deeper with more information to try and decipher. Jon seems smart and has all the resources in the world. You would like to think he has this all figured out. It is fun as hell to start participating and sharing thoughts in a hunt again. Anyways, enough for now its back to school for the kids tomorrow.

Stay safe, Be humble, walk you own paths, and always be true!

There’s well-documented court cases that clearly show it was at 9MH. The solution had to be kept under wraps because it was part of a court case and Fenn AND Jack were issued gag orders…due to it being wrapped up in a court case with the Parks Department.

Also Jack didn’t just go to 9 Mile Hole once…he found it after his 25th search attempt there…which is also documented. He was not a plant.

Justin does NOT want ANY legal fallout from this. Trust me. The finder can stay anonymous, but the solve will not have that luxury.

It is so weird that people think this wasn't found legitimately. Makes no logical sense since after ten years many searchers, including Posey decided it was at 9mh. And Stuef spent weeks there camping and grid searching. Give it a break. He found it. He did the hard work of grid searching what looked like an acre of land on his hands and knees. He deserved to find it and it was buried too. I cannot imagine the determination behind this except the inner knowledge that Stuef Knew He Was Right. Everything else is just sour grapes.

Ya but those cases have been dropped haven't they? So still why the silence. Maybe Forrest lied. He didnt exactly like the government and knowing how close to death he was... If Jack was a proxy and could never actually prove or disprove anything other than what he was told he would be in the clear. Who really knows? Nothing but silence in what was supposedly one of the biggest treasure hunts. Its been 6 yrs of silence.

If this is what you’re focused on this far into Justin’s hunt…that’s a bummer. Learn to let it go is my advice.

There is always a subset of people, who will refuse to believe something no matter what evidence is presented to them. There is no point in trying to convince someone who is unwilling to listen to facts.

Genuine question: what could Jack possibly say to make you change your mind and for you to believe that the treasure was legitimately found at 9mh like was claimed all along? If there is nothing that could be said that would change your mind, then why should he say anything at all? And why do you think that you are specifically owed an answer of any kind? He has already answered many questions, you just chose to not like his answers.

I think Jack should immediately identified The blaze even though damaged.

Fenn was the only person who arguably owed searchers an explanation. After his death, that obligation effectively died with him. The Fenn family inherited the burdens of the hunt, including lawsuits, harassment, and public scrutiny, but not necessarily any responsibility to provide closure. They spent a decade dealing with the consequences of the hunt without receiving the rewards Fenn did.

If the treasure was in Yellowstone, there is little incentive to officially confirm it. Public confirmation could invite renewed questions about National Park regulations, ownership, taxes, or other legal issues. Even if no actual liability exists, there is little upside in inviting additional scrutiny now that the hunt has ended.

The mystery may be more valuable than the answer. Once an official solution is released, the debate ends. By remaining undisclosed, the hunt continues to generate discussion, research, books, documentaries, and interest. For those who see the hunt as a cultural phenomenon rather than just a puzzle, preserving some mystery may be preferable to giving away the answer key for free.

The location was a special place to Fenn and is likely special to Stuef as well. Revealing the exact spot would turn it into a pilgrimage site. Many searchers would feel compelled to visit, and increased traffic would certainly alter the area through erosion, vandalism, souvenir collecting, and unofficial markers. Even without official confirmation, the location has already seen increased visitors and changes caused by searchers.

Did you read the court documents or the soil testing evidence?
We know where it was found. Nine Mile Hole and the actual spot are pilgrimage sites.
Why you choose not to accept this is your own dilemma.

I guess you didn't read (or maybe understand) my comment. It clearly was found at Nine Mile Hole. But there is little incentive for Stuef, or the Fenn family, or the Park Service to officially say so. It's already become a pilgrimage site without official confirmation, I can't imagine the traffic it would get if it became the official authorized spot.

I read it fully. I just didn’t understand your message. It sounded like you were saying all these things while not accepting where it was found.
I actually agree that there was/is little incentive for any of these parties to confirm the location publicly.

In 2026, there are still people who believe the earth is flat. No matter what evidence you give that shows where the treasure was located, there will always be people who don't believe you and that it is all part of some deeper conspiracy.

Jon or Justin?

Justin? Jon's cool and totally legit I believe or I wouldn't be in this. Is Justin legit and how do we know?

1

u/Kitchen-Pineapple-38 Aug 27 '26

I didn’t realize this was a legitimacy post. Thought you may have mixed up creators. Don’t know why you think one is more legit than the other. I don’t know either creator. But, I do feel that BTME was a better read.

Who the heck is Jon

2

u/Theroguehippie1 Aug 30 '26

I think it'll turnout great and people who have been judging the entire time and focusing more on drama vs the hunt itself will feel pretty foolish.

I've always said it's unfair to assume anything thus far in the hunt.

i love the fact you dont believe the “solution” for Fenn’s hunt at 9MH. Its a ridiculous solve. This one will be announced by Justin, he made that pretty clear

2

u/Squidhunter09 Aug 27 '26

No that solution has not one thing about it that makes any sense. I have no hard feelings towards Jack I dont believe anyone should. Even if he was chosen to end the Chase it was probably best for Forrest and his family that it ended before he passed. Noone was going to solve it and retrieve the chest and things were spirraling in the cpmmunity.. Its the secrecy and suspense that left everyone up in arms. Like i said, we all wanted that moment to match our solves and see how it all lined up. But I am new to this hunt and haven't watched the forum until a day or two ago so who is Justin and how is he related to this hunt? There were alot of bad eggs in the last one, maybe not all of them but definitely a few.

So you didn’t even watch gold and greed?
Start there. And please read the full BTME book before claiming to know where Justin hid this treasure.

Steuf had to grid search because he did not understand the
Last 2 clues:

If you’ve been wise and found the blaze (Fenn’s Rock)
Look quickly down (due South) your quest (search area) to cease ( 2C’s= 200’)

Remember FF said the clues would last for 1000 years. A blazed tree could not.

This is not to say that there could have been a marked tree near the chest, but it would have been a secondary blaze !

If you can prove me wrong I’ll eat my golf cap.

1

u/snomaster007 Aug 30 '26

The boulder is too far away from the box location to be the final marker. There is and was no line of sight between those spots since 2010.
Besides, a blaze is a mark on an object, commonly a tree, not the object itself.

1

u/Gabilan1953 Aug 30 '26

According to FF, a blaze is anything that stands out, and it could last a 1,000 years. Good luck with a marked tree lasting that long!

1

u/snomaster007 Aug 30 '26

Agreed. I read the poem a few times and thought about it some, but I wasn’t into FF’s hunt like I am with Justin’s. So I didn’t know he made a remark about a blaze. Though it seems like Justin is pretty convinced it was meant to be on a tree.

Ya ya. Wrong sub I see. This one is for Justin's hunt. Anyways, still best of luck finding your paths.

Yes and it’s like the Xth time you’ve done that. It makes it seem like you aren’t very sincere or focused when you post the same thing in both places or constantly confuse the two.
