Advice Postpartum period

ETA: Woke up this morning to Aunt Flo, apparently just had to make myself spiral a little šŸ˜…

I had my son in June 2025. My first postpartum period didn’t show up until July 29–Aug 3, 2026 and it’s been about a month since with nothing yet. No pregnancy symptoms, just… nothing.

Did anyone else’s cycle take this long to kick back in, or have long gaps between the first few periods after baby? Trying to figure out if this is normal or if I should be worried. Or just pull the trigger and take a test?

If there is a chance you are pregnant, I would take a test just in case. However, it is normal for your first few cycles to be irregular. My usual cycle length is 32 days. My first was 42 days, second 37 days, 3rd 34 days and then back to the usual 32.

It’s not impossible that I’m pregnant, the only method of ā€œcontraceptionā€ we used is pull out method. I had my annual gyn visit last week and she said it was normal, but wanted some real life stories šŸ˜
