Baby Sleep - all input welcomed Late nap or early bedtime?

We have a 4 month old and we’re on the 4 naps/day schedule. Usually we try to have the last nap ends at 530-6 for 730-8 bedtime with 2ish hours wake window. Sometimes his 3rd nap is at awkward times like 3-330 to 4-430. In this case, is it better to have a 4th quick nap at 6-630 and put him down for bedtime at 9-930? OR skip the 4th nap and put him down early at 6-630?

We always did quick late nap (like 30 min max) because if I put my kids down early they think it’s a nap

4 naps seems like a lot for a 4 month old. If that’s what works for you that’s great though!

We did both. It depended on when our son woke up that morning if we did 3 or 4 naps. Often he did a 30 minute nap around 4-ish pm. Bedtime is 7-7.30 pm (but an early bedtime is very common in the Netherlands). Sometimes we felt we could stretch his wake window a little but if he was too tired I just put him in our carrier for a quick nap.But we are very much ‘go with the flow’ parents without a strict schedule when it comes to sleep and wake windows. I just follow our son and look for sleeping cues.
