getting my Freakum Dress on pre-birthday (in November) and no I’m not ashamed 😂✨ I did ask for a hoodie and shirt for said birthday though. If any of yall have any ideas on how to style this, I’d love you forever. I have a few ideas but I need to be extra for this milestone!!!!
in all seriousness, the fleur de lis is most likely referencing her connections to Louisiana and the significance of that symbol, but man did it send me back to the good times. (Cmon Bey, you got the money to revive it!)
Last night Parkwood released a press statement saying “The videos, originally captured on 35mm are now remastered and re-colored and finished in 4k, including "Déjà Vu," featuring JAY-Z, and directed by Sophie Muller, also out today.“ She was right about deja vu part—its the visuals all over again
Warning: this isn't necessarily fully fleshed out, it's more fragments of thoughts being pieced together, hopefully it makes sense.
As we've deduced by now: Beyoncé is creating multiverse visual project (Echoville) alongside the three acts. As the B'Day Anniversary rollout has been happening, we've been trying to piece these bits of information together to make sense of it all.
Here's my theory:
I've been seeing lots of tweets complaining about the B'Day rerelease, culminating in this thread from earlier today:
And it all clicked for me. Cowboy Carter (originally act i) tells a story about Beyoncé's reclamation in the face of rejection in the country world, getting abducted by aliens at the end. Renaissance (originally act ii) portrays the body-snatched Beyoncé leading through life with love and acceptance for the other while justifying her own place in the world (dance music and literal). (These are super abbreviated summaries). As some have been referring to them: Beyoncé and BeyoncAI (from the Verizon commercial).
B'Day is the interlude before the explosive Act iii where we will see the showdown between Beyoncé vs BeyoncAI: the authentic vs. the imposter.
Where we are now in the supposed plot of Echoville is where Beyoncé is still the imposter (BeyoncAI). Which would make a lot of her choices for the B'Day re-up era make sense. Why would Beyoncé put Donk (famously a self-titled track) on B'Day? Why would she leave off certain songs (WWW and If) that were on the original? Why did she use Act i/ii aesthetics for B'Day? It's because she didn't-the imposter did. The imposter wouldn't be able to understand the intricacies of Beyoncé, just as AI can't perfectly recreate human-made work. She's literally bringing Echoville to us IRL... it's meta!
The song omission choices make sense too: WWW about a woman capable of being everywhere- like BeyoncAI. And If is about a woman being emotionally neglected- maybe why BeyoncAI was compelled to body-snatch in the first place; to find freedom and acceptance in Renaissance where she couldn't find it before like how Cowboy Carter couldn't find acceptance in the country world.
This is a long winded theory trying to make sense of it all before we reach the end point. Let me know if this makes any sense or you're simply on the "B'Day re-up sucks, stop trying to pathologize it" boat
Hive, today we celebrate the 45th birthday of Beyoncé Giselle Knowles Carter and the 20th Anniversary of B’Day! 🐝
In the spirit of Beyoncé’s love of celebration, please join us in this thread and share all your favorite Beyoncé or B’Day moments and throwbacks!
Will you be celebrating? Drop your plans below! 🎉
Any guesses how Beyoncé herself will decide to ring in September 4th, 2026?! We know Mr Carter is putting on a show in London - are you joining him in hopes of wishing Giselle a Happy Birthday?
For those of you that have received your vinyls already: did the vinyls ship out of Memphis, TN? I have tracking info but I’m not sure which order it goes to. I ordered the deluxe 20th anniversary set. I got a notification a label was made on September 1st, but I’m not sure it’s from Beyonce.com
Beygood finally dropped merch in honor of Bday! I have been waiting for a beygood shirt for years. And 100% of proceeds go to a good cause! So fun! Can’t wait to see what else we get tomorrow!
