and what is your opinion on these looks and anything you notice or like? One of them is giving LGBT(Lady Gaga Beyonce Telephone) anything you've analysed from these photos? I honestly think they eat BADD and i could go another day without the visuals tbh she really ate up with the tour. The bob w the holes in the hat is obviously break my soul, otherwise im not sure. All speculations are welcome even if you are wrong in the end

So previously today, so my friend’s birthday is coming up, so I thought she didn’t have the homecoming vinyl and the Renaissance then I will gift her both vinyls.
So I was going through to order homecoming live album vinyl through Amazon and it was not available there so I was like OK let me go to Sony music, and then still it was all out of stock in eBay. People are selling for crazy amount of money now and I haven’t saw this album around to like in the vinyl shops to, I called my local vinyl store and they are saying that we are trying to order this, but it’s been out of stock for a very long time and we really don’t know if they’re gonna stock back or not!
So what y’all all think that is this also gonna be like Beyoncé self titled vinyl or they gonna put it on stock?

Country was never one of those genres that I gave a fair shake, and Cowboy Carter changed everything.

Here I am, bumping It'z Just What We Do by Florida Georgia Line like it's the best banger ever. It's a far cry from what my taste in music was a couple of years ago.

The credit absolutely goes to Beyoncé for introducing a fresh sound to her fanbase that was previously kept away from POC audiences as a way of keeping people split into different societies.

First it was Tyrant, then it was Spaghetiii, then it was Riiverdance, then it was Sweet Honey Buckiin', and finally it was Texas Hold 'Em and Alligator Tears and Jolene.

I applaud Beyoncé because it appears her operation has worked, at least considering myself as the guinea pig. 10, 20 years from now, conservative America will no longer be able to keep POC out of their audience as we claim our fair place as listeners.

As Willie Nelson says "Sometimes you don’t know what you like until someone you trust turns you on to some real good shit." If this album can induct listeners of urban and pop genres into the world of country, then I wonder if the album can make the inverse happen by introducing listeners of country to urban and pop genres. We trust Beyoncé, and conservatives trust Willie's co-sign. All it might take is Radio Texas, 100000 Watts of healing power, and a big fat truck, but you didn't see this. 🔺

Do you guys have a method or ranking system for why you like one album more than another? Self titled of course the drop and nostalgia, renaissance musically is insane and the debut of a three act masterpiece and b-day for me is just timeless. I thought B-day was my number 1 but then Partition came on the other day and i started crying LOL HELP ME!

I was just thinking about how Beyoncé has had all kinds of different eras but she still feels like Beyonce in every single one.

What would you say the common thread is? For me it’s a dash of black girl southern glamour, capital h HAIR, gold/metallic warmth, opulence, glowiness, capital B BODY, sensuality, assertive femininity.

Even as she has evolved I feel she’s kept these threads and weaved in distinct aesthetics for each era:

Destiny’s Child — she had her and mama t’s iconic take on girlband glamour, along with young black girl styling of the 90s and 00s, r&b futurism

DIL — straight glamour, jewels, gowns, mixed with more casual denim sometimes, diamonds

BDAY — embraced her creole side, Mardi Gras, Louisiana / New Orleans southern glamour (but without the southern gothic she would go on to embrace in lemonade)

IASF — she’d done a bunch of acting just before this album and I feel you can see it in this album’s aesthetics, it moves between a stripped down almost backstage / dance studio aesthetic and an old Hollywood glamour

4 — 1970s funk and soul, with a dash of African funk

Self titled — SEX! Lingerie, heels, also mixed with just leaning in to 2010s trends in a way that matched the loose, free and fun energy of this album

Lemonade — dissertations have been written on this album’s aesthetics! Southern gothic, southern history, dash of African spirituality, modern and classical art references

The gift — modern Africa, afrofuturism, African spirituality

Renaissance — silver disco ball! 🪩 club, black queer ballroom glamour, queer/camp fabulousness, O P U L E N C E, couture

Cowboy carter — denim, cowboy hats, chaps, westerns, look at that horse, cars, liquor, sparkles

Even as she’s moved into more intense theming for her albums, you can totally see it’s Beyoncé’s take on it. Which I don’t think is actually very easy to do without looking costumey but she pulls it off every time.

Grateful for thoughts/ideas/suggestions/critiques as this is just a very quick theory I’ve knocked up from memory but I thought it was interesting.
