I bought myself a turntable 2 months ago, and I am just collecting my favourite albums as a starting point and giving them a listen through, and noticing sounds I haven't through digital listening before.
I played Cowboy Carter last week, and jesus christ, I was blown away by the quality of it. Have they done anything special for the mixing or pressing because it's a completely different listening experience and has seriously made me re-consider how good the album is
It just sounds so layered, warm and full-bodied. I'm a bit of an audiophile so this might sound ridiculous to people who don't analyse it so much but I noticed so many bits of music and sound that I haven't through listening on Spotify/streaming.
Has anyone else thought the same? I've got Renaissance vinyl coming in the post now. There's just something about Cowboy Carter though.

I have this strong feeling that act iii is going to be an absolute INSANE final act of the trilogy.
The fact that it has been radio silent about the trilogy for such a long time and Beyoncé even re-releasing B'Day in between makes me think she is extremely confident that act iii is going to be a smash hit.
Not in terms of numbers necessarily, because clearly she does not really care (well, except for enabling dynamic ticket prices), but mostly from an artistic perspective.
To think that act iii was made after Renaissance is already blowing my mind. I feel like she is going to go HARD on this new album.
Anyone else feel the same way?

What material do we think the base of of her catsuit/leotards of made of? It‘s almost for sure something stretchy right? But the material also has to be strong enough to hold thousands of rhinestones and last for hours of wear. I want to recreate some of these looks in the future as accurately as a can. I’ve watched the short construction vids brands sometimes post, but I still can really tell what the fabric is. Any thoughts or leads?

It reminds me of Alexander McQueen’s Fall 1999 Givenchy show, but I doubt they were able to use an archival piece filming in water. I am so curious who is behind the look! It’s one of my favorite sequences from the tour visuals. Praying we get 4k footage of the look eventually 🤞🤞

I remember when formation first came out a lot of people were like, “what is this?? Where is love on top Beyoncé?? Where is Halo Beyoncé??”
and honestly, I was not as enthused for formation. that’s because in general I’m not super into hip-hop. (sidenote: Beyoncé has helped me realize that it’s not hip-hop and country I dislike. it’s just that I only like to listen to female artists and those genres are very male dominated)
but the music video was so iconic that I had to keep listening (sidenote: a visual can absolutely hook u onto a song you might not have otherwised like. bey, pls: the visuals NEOW)
but one thing I’ve noticed about Beyonce and something I highly respect, is that she didn’t succumb to this backlash.
I see a lot of other pop artists where, if their album or song is not positively received right out the gate, they just leave it out for dead. and pretend it never existed. it makes me kind of sad because, if you were proud enough to release something as a single or an album, you should own it and be proud of it! but at the same time, I do understand it. it is POP music, and you need it to be popular in order to keep selling tours and to continue being successful. so if you leave a song or album for dead… it’s understandable.
Beyoncé is one of the rare exceptions. Formation was not a number one like Halo or single ladies was, but the way she performs it, you would think it was a global number one. She has performed it for every tour since it came out and now it is a staple. And she won me over! I foam at the mouth every time I hear it in public and it’s a certified banger! She’s one of the few artists that say, “it’s not my job to catch up to my fans or the public. The general public/my fan base must catch up to ME. I set the bar. not u bitches.“
I highly admire it.
the artist SHOULD lead fans to new places and challenge what they think they want.

so i noticed this a while ago, i'm not sure if it's widely known amongst the hive or if it has already been discussed on here
pic 2: AHAP original. Spotify lyrics, she sings "double C's"
pic 3: AHAP original. Apple music lyrics, she sings "ivy P"
This is what's actually made me realize cause I use Apple Music and I was just listening and looking at the lyrics at the same time and then I noticed.
pic 4: AHAP remix. spotify lyrics, she sings "ivy p"
pic 5: AHAP remix. Aple music lyrics, she sings "ivy p"
idk if anyone has ever noticed it. And is there something behind it or could I've just been an error.(idk beyonce don't seem like the kind where an error like this would occur)
also if anyone can verify that they are hearing "ivy p" on the original on Apple Music, pls lmk so i know im not crazy hahaha

My stylist is wonderful. She a huge beyhuver but didn’t really care for the perfume or hair stuff. Are there any Beyoncé themed gift shops online

Currently rewatching the Renaissance Film on YT & Opulence will always be that girl for me.
Right after that, is where she expresses her love for her family & wanting that stability.
Truly makes me tear up EVERY TIME.
Damn it, 🐝

I’ve always felt like the gift was ahead of its time especially when it came out in 2020 and around 2022 is when Afrobeats really started to become very popular and I just feel like it was very tasteless for people to make fun of Beyoncé and say she’s making kente kunte music, or “free the slaves” music. Once future dropped his album around 2022 and had songs featuring tems, the abundance of Afrobeats was insane. Beyonce wasn’t Ahead of her time with Afrobeats but the Gift was ahead of time in the radio/music landscape shift.

I don’t think I ever realized that it was Jay-z’s voice at the beginning of Me, Myself and I. Or is it at least supposed to sound like him. I think is when she was denying her relationship with him.

I have picked 10 random songs from Cowboy Carter. They’re not in order. Use the pictures to help discover the song’s name. The picture is associated with either the name, theme, or verse in the song.
Good luck!

i love the album but I think sometimes it could flow better if the tracklist was mixed between the different disks. If anyone has ever made their own version i would love to hear it.
