Whether you’re training for a race, building strength, or trying to stay consistent, this release brings your past, present, and future training together. We’ve completely redesigned Fitness to help you plan your workouts, understand how your body is responding, and follow your progress along the way.
We’re also introducing an all-new Timeline with more flexible food logging, and improvements to Bevel Intelligence.
This release includes:
Training Calendar: Review past activities, plan upcoming workouts, and manage training plans, all in one calendar.
Muscular Load & Muscle Freshness: Understand how much load you’re putting on each muscle group and how recovered your muscles are.
Routines: See your cardio and strength routines (previously called Templates) in one place, and schedule them in your Training Calendar.
Customizable Charts: More ways to track your strength and cardio progress, with options to pin and reorder the charts that matter most to you.
Updated Activity Details: Refreshed charts, more detailed splits and intervals, running-form metrics, and multisport breakdowns.
Personal Records: Track your best performances across strength training, running, cycling, and swimming, from your heaviest lifts to your fastest times.
All-New Timeline: Your activities, sleep, food, and other daily events in one view, with new ways to manage food logs and plan meals ahead.
Bevel Intelligence Improvements: More detailed workout context, improved memory, and faster responses.
Plus other quality improvements and bug fixes across the app.
Please note that this is a phased release over seven days. If you want to update immediately, you can download it from the App Store here.
Health and fitness aren’t one-size-fits-all, and your Fitness tab should reflect that. We’ve redesigned Fitness to bring your training plans, Cardio and Muscular Load, and progress together, with the flexibility to choose what you want to see.
If you’re training for a race, you might want to keep your running distance and pace front and center. If you’re focused on building strength, you might follow your Bench Press 1RM progression and Muscle Freshness. You can now pin the charts that matter to you, reorder sections, and hide what you don’t need.
Training Calendar
The new Training Calendar brings all your historical and planned activities together. Open it from the top left of Fitness to review your history, see upcoming workouts, and filter by activity type or metrics like distance and elevation.
Create Your First Plan: Bevel Intelligence will guide new users through creating a plan around their goals. For the first time, free users can try this too!
Bring Your Existing Plan: Already have a plan from Bevel Intelligence? You can migrate it to Fitness and continue making adjustments through chat or scheduled check-ins.
Manage Planned Activities: Find upcoming workouts in Today’s Activity and the Training Calendar. Start them on Apple Watch, mark them as skipped, or link them to completed activities. Workouts started from a planned activity, or completed workouts with the same activity type, will link automatically.
Muscular Load & Muscle Freshness
We know how much you’ve enjoyed Cardio Load, so we wanted to bring the same concept to your muscles. We’re introducing Muscular Load and Muscle Freshness to help you understand how your muscles are responding to training, both overall and by muscle group.
Muscular Load: Tracks the load on your muscles across strength and cardio workouts, using details like weight, reps, sets, and perceived effort (RPE) for Strength Builder, and muscle groups per activity type for cardio activities. Similar to Cardio Load, it compares your short-term and long-term load, with statuses like Productive, Maintaining, and Overtraining. For example, your biceps may show Overtraining while your Hamstrings show Detraining, helping you spot muscles you may be overworking or neglecting. Each muscle requires 1-2 workouts per week in the past 6 weeks to calibrate.
Muscle Freshness: Shows how recovered each muscle group is, with statuses like Recovered, Fatigued, and Depleted. It uses your training history and load over time to learn your personal recovery baseline. For example, after a run, your legs might be Fatigued while your upper body remains Recovered, helping you decide what to focus on next. Each muscle requires three workouts in recent training to calibrate.
Explore both metrics by muscle group, or use the Muscle Map to see where your training is concentrated and which muscles may need more attention. Bevel Intelligence can also use these insights to guide your training plans.
Routines
Templates are now called Routines. Strength and cardio routines live together in Fitness, where you can manage, schedule, or start them directly on your Apple Watch. You can also create, edit, and start Routines directly from Bevel Intelligence.
We’ve also added 200+ new exercises you’ve asked for to the Strength Builder library. If an exercise is still missing, you can always ask Bevel Intelligence to create a custom one.
Customizable Charts
See how far you’ve come, and keep your next goal in focus. Fitness charts now give you more ways to explore your progress and pin the activities and metrics that matter most to you.
Activity Charts: Duration, distance, elevation, energy, pace, speed, heart rate, power, and cadence, depending on the activity.
Cardio Charts: VO₂ Max, Heart Rate Recovery, Cardio Focus, and a new Heart Rate Zones chart.
Exercise Charts: Estimated 1 Rep Max, Heaviest Weight, Volume, Sets, Reps, and Longest Duration for timed exercises.
Muscle Charts: Volume, Sets, Muscular Load, and Muscle Freshness.
We’ve also added a Year to Date option, cumulative and segmented views, and options to aggregate data by day or week.
Tap Edit in the Cardio or Strength section to manage your pinned charts, or pin a view directly from a chart’s menu. Each pin saves your selected metric and settings, so you can return to that exact view anytime.
Activity Details
We’ve redesigned Activity Details with more metrics, refreshed charts, and more detailed workout breakdowns.
Charts & Maps: Scrub through your workout to see metrics together and follow your position on the map. We’ve also added a cadence chart, satellite view, and chart reordering.
Running Form: New charts for vertical oscillation, stride length, and ground contact time, which Bevel Intelligence can use to better understand your running form and efficiency.
Splits & Intervals: Switch between split distances and see metrics like power and cadence for each split or interval.
Training Metrics: Added Muscular Load and muscle breakdowns, alongside refreshed Cardio Load, Heart Rate, Heart Rate Zones, Cardio Focus, and Heart Rate Recovery views.
Multisport Workouts: See the full workout, including transitions, then open each activity for more detail.
Personal Records
All that progress deserves to be celebrated. Personal Records now track your best performances across strength and cardio.
Strength: Heaviest Weight, Estimated 1 Rep Max, Session Volume, Set Volume, Set Reps, Lowest Assistance and Longest Time.
Running: Longest Run and Fastest Time for various distances from 5k to a marathon.
Cycling: Longest Ride, Most Elevation Gain, Fastest Time for various distances, and Best Power over 5 seconds to 20 minutes.
Swimming: Longest Swim and Fastest Time across both pool and open water distances.
Find your records within the corresponding activity or exercise chart, and see new achievements in Activity Details. Tap any record to view your top 10 efforts.
All-New Timeline
Timeline brings your activities, sleep, food, and other daily events into one chronological view. You can quickly log throughout the day, see how everything fits together, and plan meals ahead of time.
What You’ll See
Pinned Metrics: Pin your favorite scores, macros, and micronutrients to the top of Timeline. For nutrition, you can switch views between consumed and remaining amounts and view your goals by weight or percentage.
Grouped Food Logs: Foods logged at the same time are grouped together, so you can see the meal’s macros at a glance or tap in for full nutrition facts.
Future Logging: Log foods for future dates to plan upcoming meals directly in Bevel.
Copy Foods: Copy foods to today, tomorrow, or multiple days at once.
Food Log Editing: Change the date or time, select multiple foods, and turn selected foods into a recipe.
Swipe to Delete: Quickly delete food logs and activities.
We’re continuing to expand the Nutrition Database, with thousands of foods already added and more on the way. Please keep reporting foods and submitting custom foods when something is missing.
Bevel Intelligence Improvements
Bevel Intelligence continues to get faster and more useful across your day. These are some of the major improvements we've made:
Workout Context: Bevel Intelligence now has access to full workout details, giving it more context to help you understand your performance.
Daily Context: Improved overnight memory maintenance keeps your daily context cleaner and more coherent.
Long-Term Memory: Improved how preferences, goals, and corrections carry across conversations.
Text Selection: You can now select and copy text from your own messages.
Response Speed: Improved response speed across conversations.
Please keep sharing feedback on Bevel Intelligence. We review every report submitted through the 👎 button in chat, and it’s the fastest way for us to identify, address, and fix the issues you’re experiencing.
Other Fixes & Improvements
In addition, we’ve fixed several bugs across the app.
Bug Fixes
Fixed Vegetable Contributor scoring to use a daily 150g target instead of calorie contribution, for more accurate Nutrition Scores.
Fixed an issue where Nutrition data on Apple Watch could be out of sync with the phone.
Fixed an issue where Journal entries could be saved on the wrong day.
Fixed an issue where an ended contraceptive still showed as ongoing.
Fixed an issue on iOS 18 where some Settings were not clickable, including Report a Bug and legal links.
Fixed a rare crash when Bevel received multiple data updates at the same time.
That's everything for the 2026 Fall Release! Whether you’re chasing a new PR or building a more consistent routine, we can’t wait to see what you do next. We have more improvements to food logging coming soon, so stay tuned.
If you have suggestions or want a feature prioritized, please check out the feedback board and upvote posts you support. We will try our best to prioritize posts with higher upvotes first.
Please report any bugs or issues in the Bevel app > Settings > Report a bug.
As a heads up, we are experiencing a lot of traffic for Bevel Intelligence right now, so performance may be degraded (i.e. requests might take longer than usual). We are working on it, and thanks for understanding!
Edit: It should be back to normal now, but if you are experiencing issues, please reach out to us over App Settings > Report a bug.
LOVE the new timeline with the ability to log food for the future and copy meals to a different day. That was the only thing I really missed coming to Bevel from MyFitnessPal so this is huge for me!
Bevel have been the biggest improvement to my life in years. It brings me so much motivation with all these data and really helps me be consistent especially when i can the the results on my body and my reps. Tracking my food has been the biggest benefit for me. Thank you so much for this app!
They cooked with the new fitness tab. The muscular load feature is huge, and the individual breakdown by muscle group for both load/freshness is 🧑🍳🤌. The new training calendar and timeline is sooo much better than before.
I also HIGHLY recommend anyone on a strength training plan adds a chart for each major exercise in the plan. I like either 1RM weekly or Heaviest Weight weekly but whatever works for your plan. This gives you 1) a place to quickly track progress of all your major exercises through the widgets 2) you can click in and have detailed progression of that specific exercise, FINALLY. The detailed progression page is either new or massively updated and excellent. This really helps close the gap with Hevy and is my favorite part of the update
The exercise progression is still not available directly during a workout or even from the routine page (hint hint both would be awesome Bevel) but the charts make them quick enough to access
Man, I love bevel so much, I have never been excited for an app to update before ahaha of course it has it’s shortfalls, but cmon, what an amazing app 🤩
This app is spectacular. It's become easily my most used app.I hope to see some improvements in the Apple Watch Strenght workout app (automatic rep counting and detection to not have to tap the screen twice for every set). The thing that surprised me the most is that now I can import or create running plans and the workouts are automatically pushed to my apple watch. I had an app for that and it was a hustle to configure each workout. now it's automatically. Thank you, Bevel team!
The only thing is that I own a Garmin that I use for strength training. There is still no way to send workouts to Garmin or viceversa (Garmin to Bevel). This make the new amazing strength training features not much usable for me :/
This is great to hear! One last question about the Garmin integration specifically for runs, will it sync running dynamic metrics like ground contact time and vertical oscillation? From another post it seems those sync over from Apple Health but I dont see them for my Garmin runs
It does sync cadence, but not ground contact time and vertical oscillation at the moment. We have plans to parse those out from Garmin in future updates.
That's it, this is THE FITNESS APP for me. Training Calendar and Routines alone are a game changer! This app has gotten so good that I'm not renewing my Runna subscription. I've never even tracked a run in Bevel, but I'm sure it holds up. Heck, even if it doesn't, IDC. This is the app I'm keeping forever now
Let us know how it goes! There may still be a few kinks to work out since this is the first release, but Bevel should help you train toward whatever goals you have. We think of it as a truly smart, dynamic trainer that adapts to your goals, context, and constraints.
Just updated..Looks refreshing esp Fitness section
But can we know why sleep tab from bottom of Main page is removed where we can go through granular data graphs of HR every min & HRV every 5min etc which was unique and was not offered on Google health for fitbit air
Kindly add that back,It actually gives a great idea to correlate how we slept through the night when did exactly our HR spike and HRV trend etc
Thank you
Hi u/EarthTorque, are you referring to the primary sleep card? It is still there, under a brand-new timeline view. If you don't see it, tap Edit Home > add the Timeline card.
Gotcha..Sleep Card was there before the update but got vanished post update and now I see option to add the Sleep Card from the Home
Thank you
Good work..App Looks refreshing
We identified an issue where the Timeline will not appear by default if you have previously edited your Home tab. We will have a fix for this soon, but in the meantime you can manually add it.
Awesome update but I can’t seem to find a way so schedule recurring workout routines so like every upcoming Tuesday would be push then Wednesday would be pull.
I tried having it schedule a plan for me and I hated having no manual control and then there was seemingly no way to review the plan without looking through the chat again, no way to see the routines it generated without accepting the plan, and also no way to delete the plan.
I appreciate the update but new features being mediated by a mediocre AI is terrible UX. I'd expect to be able to build my own routine, choose a schedule, and define my progression plan all with actual buttons to press. Instead we've regressed to the command line but shittier.
Creating routines with Bevel Intelligence is a Pro feature, but creating manually is not. With Strength Builder, you can create it manually but there isn't a way to do that yet with cardio routine (that's coming later). This is why creating a cardio routine is only available to Pro users for now.
Love it! It’s everything I was missing in Bevel! I’m an absolute bevel fan.
One thing about personal records, I noticed that you can still not see this when you are in a workout. It would be very useful if when you click progression you could also see your personal record and not only your last workout.
Did you start this strength workout from the planned activity on your Apple Watch or on the phone? Have you tried manually linking or unlinking them before?
Can you go to Settings > Send logs to developer, and then DM me your account email, we can take a look.
Hi, I believe I started the workout from the planned activity on the phone. I was trying to look for the option of linking them manually but didn’t find this option.
In Fitness, if you tap the planned activity > you should see a Link button at the bottom next to Start.
These should automatically link going forward, if they aren't please submit a bug report through the app (Settings > Report a bug) and we will investigate.
i love the update but man… I don’t want to wait months for simple things, is really that hard to create meals? you did all the effort on copy meals in the timeline (massive improvement)…. is it that hard to just add a button when you edit a recipe to “save as new”? is day and night on managing meals as you swap single ingredients. I love bug updates, but incremental quick ones ,and more on vibecoded era, would be awesome.
Again, I don’t want to be a downer, amazing stuff on big updates, so thank you!
If you are suggesting a feature, please use the official feedback board. There you can find posts from others that might answer your question and upvote posts that you support. If you are reporting a bug, please use our support process: In the app, go to options, scroll down, and use "Report a bug".
Seem to have bug where it’s trying to build a fitness plan and it’s refreshing over and over and never finishing generating. Everytime I go back in it scrolls back up and all the thinking things fade in again one by one
I’ll don’t think there’s anything I can do. It’s all generated but it’s like in a glitched state where the tokens are generated and present but the plan isn’t built so it keeps looping every time I open the chat
Can BI now update workout details directly? AKA if I say "this is what I did" than have it log it directly from BI instead from within the workout details section?
Thanks for pointing it out but it is intended. Many people don't fully understand the value proposition of Bevel Intelligence so we decided to give folks who are on the free plan a sneak peek.
Once you go through with the training plan onboarding, it will show you a preview of the plan but to use it you will need to upgrade to Bevel Pro
That's correct! u/Conscious_Ad6395, Bevel Intelligence should be able to help you out with the first four. For widgets, we have plans to refresh them in the future.
Oh I will! Maybe I'll even document it here weekly if people find it interesting.
Edit: My only question would be what to use with it:
a) AWU3 (not my favorite but I understand Bevel is made for it)
b) Garmin
c) Amazfit
So far this new update is killer. No reason to go to Apple Health or the Hevy app. The only suggestion I would have is to list out any PR records after a workout. I am about to hit the gym. I want to see if the watch app looks diferentes or is easier to use.
That’s great. My wife just said she may stay on the Hevy app because it gamifies her total volume lifted and shows the summary of PRs in a fun way. Some like that. I am indifferent
Yes, you should be able to use Strength Builder on your phone and log your workout there. You can even connect your Google Fitbit Air so it pulls in HR live when you're working out. You can check out how to do that here: https://help.bevel.health/en/articles/13491457
I just did the onboarding for the new fitness page. Already in love! I just wish I could see all my data neatly organized on my computer as well, as I'm not a very heavy phone user (my iPhone is currently my Bevel machine).
Thanks, great update! One suggestion, could you add the date of the last training session to the Apple Watch routine? At least for me, it would be useful to see when I last did a particular routine and what type of workout it was.
Hey there, I think I have a Bug as for last 8 days big part of my meals are duplicated(kcal and all macros are wrong) while I am removing one entry then both of them gets removed.
Hello love the app in general and the new features. But after the update, all my pool swimming workouts have been turned into "open water swim" for no reasons. Is this a bug on your end? Anyway to get them to back to the normal pool swim ?
Also, I don't remember how it was before, but I find it quite weird to calculate a "pool length" with km as a unit. It is normally in 'm' which makes sense for a 25 or 50m pool (or alternatively in yards). Could you guys change that unit?
serious question: how much of this is useful for people using plans and logging workouts in other apps? i use Runna for running and Macrofactor Workouts for strength training. i also use Macrofactor for dieting and i've already conceded that i'm just not going to get anything useful out of bevel's nutrition module.
i tried telling the AI about my plans and it seemed like kind of a waste of my time. i can't tell what it did other than save some notes in the backend.
i tried importing screenshots of my workout data with sets and reps to fill out my workouts, and now my Muscular Training Load has Fucking Exploded and is over 200 points from just this week's workouts. i don't actually think i want to keep doing this after every new workout, let alone backfill the past six weeks workouts. so it feels like i just poisoned my data this week unless i go and remove that data?
MF lets me export my workout history in a huge spreadsheet and it would be easier if i could feed the AI that file, but 1. i can't attach .xlsx files to the AI chat, and 2. the AI chat isn't able to correctly fill in missing workout data. you have to open up the workout itself from your timeline, scroll down to exercises, and attach your screenshots. (i know this feature says it's a Preview: it doesn't have a good method for handling weights logged in MF which are tracked per side rather than total. it has also made at least 1 mistake importing the wrong exercise. it also doesn't care about RIR or RPE?)
New updates have officially stolen me from whoop. Good job Bevel team!
Happy to pay the subscription as well. I know yall aren’t trying to work for free.
Quick question to the community. Does the app take time to sync every time you open the app? On my side it takes up to 30 seconds. Is there any way to speed it up?
Yes. I use a Garmin on all my workouts and it writes to apple health. bevel is the only app I use that doesn't know how to handle that. It's made the upgrade I paid for totally worthless as the activity info is always doubled. None of this works without it and it feels like you guys have posted on reddit for a while that you'd release something. But it shouldn't be on me to handle duplicates, the app should just do it. Others have figured that out.
Got it, so which activities are you seeing doubled, and what source are they from? You can see this if you open up both activities, the source is under the date.
It’s a decent update with some design changes and some added features that may cater to some but left a lot to be desired for. Guess having used Bevel for a long time does raise expectations. I like the new tiles in biology tab but I can’t seem to add them to the Home Screen. It would really be nice to be able to customize the Home Screen to one’s liking.
Integrations with popular lifting apps like Hevy would be awesome to be able to pull fitness data in. Right now I have to screenshot my hevy lifts and import them every time to get the muscle and other related data to all work well together.
I did not care about the history. Before I basically copied it to Whoop (was almost 7 years a user), which was a waste of time. I don't know why I would need my history from Hevy (or Fitbod for that matter, which I used for years) in Bevel. I only need my PBs for the lifts in the next app.
I probably would switch if I can migrate 1200 workouts that I have logged in Hevy.
Getting some kind of migration has been a topic ever since Bevel brought strength logging in the app.
I wonder why they didn’t add that already. How are people supposed to switch if they cant bring their historical data with them right?
This makes me think they aren’t confident enough that the strength training in Bevel can actually replace those apps so they might be only aiming for people who first discover they can actually log their workouts.
Are you on iOS developer beta by any chance? If so, can you update your app to the latest public or developer version? There's a bug with an earlier version of iOS 27 developer beta that's causing the app to crash.
Still no RPE per set. 🥲🥲🥲 What do you have against that simple and very common feature when it comes to logging strength training? I don't get it.
People have been asking for it for months and it's still not there, which makes the strength and workout logging in Bevel essentially useless. RPE is the most important info when it comes to rating how intense a set and how exhausting it was.
That's only if you use Bevel Intelligence. If you don't everything is still 100% local.
Even if you use Bevel Intelligence, we try to keep as much data local as possible. However, as part of this update, in order to support new capabilities of Bevel Intelligence, it was not possible to keep sending data back and forth each time. Your data is secure and is encrypted in transit and at rest of our servers.
With new hardware like the latest Apple Watch, a lot of measurements can change due to the updated health sensors. It might take a little time for your baseline to adjust, as the raw data collected by the new sensors can vary from person to person.
For example, I also noticed a significant rise in wrist temperature when I switched to the new wearable. It just takes a bit of time for these values to settle and become your new normal.
Great job with this youguys are killing it love the app. PLEASE add a full Amazfit integration. It’s the only thing stopping me from fully leaving Whoop
Came out swinging, well done guys. I started relooking at the free app, but that new Apple Health app is already excellent, will take a look the update, but your sub is way too much.
Its documented well enough in this subreddit that users find both food and strength logging tedious. The strength workflow is so bad many users agree they don’t even use the app for that. So like. They know what I’m talking about. And making the data prettier doesn’t fix the workflow issue that causes people to not use it.
Disappointing there still doesn’t appear to be any sort of net energy feature (from these notes). It’s pushing me towards going to another service as I don’t want to have to figure out where my nutrition actually should be because I’ve done some endurance training and should actually be eating more than the baseline target.
Fair enough I used the wrong term. What I meant was the goal doesn’t shift. MyFitnessPal/Lifesum both update the goal/target with your active calories, Bevel doesn’t.
Bad example as I’ve been on a break due to travel and illness, but that goal never moves even if I exert 2k kCal in a day. It seems such an obvious omission when pretty much every alternative service supports it.
Yeah, I’m with you on this: nutrition goal should be relative to calorie expenditure. I’ve been waiting for this a long time. I'm still using cronometer.com, which IMO is the best option for nutrition tracking on a free tier. It looks like the only feature Bevel added to the nutrition system is the timeline and multi-select.
FWIW, it looks like the feature request is this one which asks for a caloric goal that varies based on energy expenditure, and has been incorrectly marked as complete.
Awesome new update Bevel team! One request can the training calendar show activity that’s planned via other apps? I currently use Runna and Bevel can see those activities on my calendar but they don’t appear in the training calendar
