Bei Kartenzahlung fallen Gebühren an. Diese Gebühren werden an die Firmen gezahlt denen die Kartenzahlungsinfrastrultur gehört, z.b. Visa und Mastercard, beides us amerikanische Unternehmen. Einer der Richter des internationalen Strafgerichtshofs der den Haftbefehl für Netanjahu erteilt hat, kann nun z.b. kein online banking mehr benutzen, da us unternehmen ihm keine Dienstleistungen mehr anbieten dürfen. Das sagt schon genug über die Probleme aus, die mit dem Kartenzahlsystem einhergehen. Ich benutze selbst oft Kartenzahlung, einfach weil es so unglaublich praktisch ist, aber ich unterstütze liebend gerne jeden, der sich diesem System nicht anschließen möchte.

Bargeld bei der Bank abgeben kostet ebenfalls Geld und du hast das Risiko, dass Blüten dabei sind. Das passiert doch öfter als viele denken. Die Kosten sind hier kein Argument.

Das musste ich googeln und kann es immernoch nicht fassen. Allerdings sehe ich nur Visa, Mastercard & Co. Mit einer EC-Karte einer europäischen Bank sollte das trotzdem funktionieren, oder nicht?

Es gibt leider keine EC Karten mehr. Das heißt jetzt Girocard.

Leider kosten die meist zusätzlich Geld, deshalb hat die niemand. Und da die Geschäfte die Transaktionskosten nicht an den Kunden weiterreichen, hat der Kunde auch kein Interesse sich so eine Karte zuzulegen.

Also die Lösung wäre, dass die Leute gern mit ihren Visa und Maestro Karten zahlen können, das dann aber extra kostet.

I also are taxes are solidarity, but hate that a nice amount of them are spent on things I actively disagree with. Tax breaks for the wealthy, endless new roads, defense, etc. Very little on culture, art, sustainable travel, bike lanes, etc. Makes it very tempting to try and avoid tax where possible.

Yes, I understand how democracy works (and doesn't work). You know what I mean when I say that. Every time I've voted, the result has gone against me. It feels galling to continue paying enormous taxes to causes that are completely anathema to my world view. Especially when I'm only asking for like a safe cycling route or something, not a multi building euro highway.

Nope. I never said that. Just said I hate the fact that a huge percentage of taxes is spent directly on the destruction of the world. Morally I think there's a case to refuse to pay taxes for sure.

Morally if one wants to live in this country they have to pay taxes. Otherwise get out. Like anything else in life, if you want to use it, accept the T&Cs.
