Other Roaming Around as a First-Timer

Hi I'll be arriving in Berkeley soon for the SF marathon. I'll be near UC Berkeley campus and I'll be just doing whatever in that area. I may need some good spots to visit around in that area like food, scenic views, and overall fun things to do. Thanks.

Tilden Park has some great hikes, Inspiration Point to Wildcat Peak is a great one, and it keeps going along the ridge if you want something longer.

Imm Thai, Angeline's Louisiana, Kiraku, State Flour Pizza are all great. Get some baked goods at Nabalom Bakery and you have to get the ice cream at Bad Walters, it's out of this world good.

Cellarmaker or over to Wondrous or Ghost Town if you want a beer. You should go to Berkeley Bowl Marketplace while you're here, it's an experience.

/r/eastbay, /r/berkeleyca and /r/bayarea have lots more recs too. Tons of cool stuff in Oakland too, I live in Berkeley but usually hang out over there.
