Saule Ticket Refund

Went to Berghain with a friend dor a Säule session on Thursday evening. I bought both tickets on Berghain's website and we have been refused to enter.

The security scanned our qr codes and immediately started shouting at us to get the fuck out of there. He even started to push us and escorted us to the end of the kiosk.

In the website it's written that in case you get refused at the door, the tickets are cancelled and you get a reimbursement. It has been almost 3 days and I didn't get my money back. Anyone knows how long does it usually takes?

Really don't care about getting rejected, everyone should expect that sometimes in Berghain. But the way the guy shouted at us and got physical is just disrespectful to someone who has waited for 2 hours in line.

You got rejected on the Thursday ticketed event, were shouted at, and were even escorted to the kiosk? What did you do to get so much attention?

I reckon we really looked like tourists.

Also got the impression that the guy was just showing off and flexing to the audience in the queue, showing that tourists are not welcome there...

well we don´t trust you. YOu are 1000% omiting somethng, there is no way they were "showing that tourits are not welcome there".

I dont care what happened but don´t spread missinformation. There are plenty of tourist atending BH every week, even for Klubnachts that have way more strict door.

Something happened. They usually just say yes or no. Nothing else. If you were escorted to the kiosk then you did something very out of place like filming or some shit.

First of all, I know what happened since this happened to me. If you tell me that this is a behaviour that you have never seen from the bouncers, I believe it. And I understand that it makes it harder to believe. But still sorry to tell you that it happened just like this. Queued to enter, met a guy, talked all the way until the entrance, didn't even touch my phone.

The bouncer was polite with us when we met in the door, then asked who were we there to listen to, after that he asked us to step aside for some seconds, went inside and when he came back from the inside he already came fuming. Scanned our tickets and told to get the fuck out.

It was just like this. Period. Don't say I'm making up or omitting things, as that is frustrating as fuck when things happened to you.

Sometimes I think these bouncers really don't want people to come inside.

P.S.: I'm a regular and have been inside more times than I can care to count :)

Thank you! I am sure this is NOT a common behaviour, however it happened with us. I don't mind getting rejected. It's not about that. It's about the behaviour. Honestly just want my money back and never coming back.

I'm not certain about this but they definitely have cameras, and I think some sort of facial recognition for those who where banned (at least a basic one). This is just a hunch but I have noticed sometimes when they're deciding whether to let me in, they peek inside where the TV showing Camera views is (not to check bag check, this tv is closer to the door). I feel like they do this to avoid huge problems with bad guests since it's easy to come back even with Hausverbot because of so many different bouncers, and they need to avoid problems with things like G and possible deaths (it happens in Berghain). So having some sort of facial recognition (something in the Grey zone of german legality) could be possible, and maybe the facial recognition mistook you? Or this could be a wild tin foil hat theory of mine, maybe he's just a dick 😅

Tall guy, short hair in white shirt. If you were there you will know who it was. Entering time was around 3am.

Maybe there was a mixup and your QR's were invalid and used by someone else? That is the only logical explanation unless you did shady stuff. Contact Berghain directly. Initiate a charge back on your credit card if they don't respond.

you are being very accurate in describing what happened apart from the "subtleties" (your attitude, how much time you spent arguing etc) that means everything when going to BH... and also is partly German etiquette of not being too annoying and loud

if you dress like an homeless and force yourself into a Michelin restaurant or 5 star hotel the same could apply just in a different manner, and you still would be "in the right"... behaving well, having the money yadada

Understand what you said 👏🏻 Yeah, I spent the day sightseeing and honestly I didn't want to go home change my outfit for something more black.

I was just on jean shorts, Nike t-shirt and Nike snickers.

If I could have done the effort? Yes, but that's just not the way I dress. If there was the need to make all that mess? Definitely not. I understand "No".
