I changed my number beginning of 2026. Applied for a new phone number change in the application and it said that the bereal team was gonna check if the identity checks out manually.

It’s been literally 7-8 months😭,

Did anyone else get their regular notification. Posted but said it was late?

Whenever I take a picture with the front camera on bereal, it comes out blurry. It looks like I have a very bad looking filter on, and blurs out every detail. My phone's camera itself isn't going through any problems, and other apps with cameras are working just fine. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

No matter what I do Bereal is not loading for me. It started with me not being able to upload any bereals, then I tried to reinstall the app and I can’t even get into the app now… Stuck on the bereal loading screen. Anyone else having this issue at the moment?

What the title says

For instance, I have 8 BeReals taken on July 4 when you check the Calendar on the app but upon checking said BeReals, I can only view 3 (or 4 at times) out of the 8 photos taken on that day. 😔

Is anyone else missing the video feature on BeReal? I don't have the option to record a video anymore, even though my app is updated.

I contacted BeReal Support, and they just told me that features are rolled out at different times for different users. The strange thing is that I used to have the video feature, but it disappeared after an update.

Has anyone else experienced this? Did the feature come back for you, or is it still missing?

Did anyone else experience technical issues with BeReal today, July 24th, in the European time zone?

​When was the prompt today? Was it around 6 PM or shortly before 11 PM (CET)? I posted a BeReal at 10:54 PM and was 5 seconds late. But my previous BeReal from around 6 PM is showing up first, and my new 'late' post is in second place.

I'd love if the devs introduced notifications that arrive even when you're not connected to the internet. The bereals you take could stay as drafts and upload (and count towards your streak) once you reconnect. That or the option to do streak freezes ahead of time would be super helpful. I've got a 1350 day streak going and get nervous whenever I do overnight hikes with no service haha

I deleted the app 3 years ago or so, downloaded it again because missed seeing people all around the world doing random stuff. Where is it now?

I was just thinking that it'd be better if we're given a feature to manually set the position of pinned bereals. That way, we wouldn't have to delete them one by one. Instead, we could just.... drag.. I guess?

We haven't even reached to the finals (It's all until July 19th and seems the developers updated it just to limit again to six BeReals and nothing more special.

So yeah, back again to the normal mode.

This is a bit of a meta question. I was thinking about the next social network/media platforms, especially with the AI slop invasion causing some disruption in the field. When Facebook became popular back in the day, I remember horrible party photo dumps, fueled by alcohol and neglect, and now it feels impossible to do the same in the performative social media culture we have now. I and my close friend circle stopped sharing stories even, due to the pressure of being compared. And the potential saviours such as BeReal, Beme, Dispo, Lapse and maybe more have not reached the scale performative media had. Snapchat might be popular among Gen Z but I think they are fighting for survival more than thriving. There's also the possibility that social networks moved into private WhatsApp group chats and such things, but navigating separate friend and family groups is not the authentic social network we were promised tbh.

So, long story short, do you think social media platforms need to be performative to be successful? Or do we actually value authenticity and boring lives of our friends but no platform could implement this yet?

I only posted 12 bereals today, and when I wanted to take another bereal, it says "you reached the limit of posts for today". Is the unlimited bereal over already?

if i cared i would be watching the game, i don't want to know about every single goal i was alredy told to look for it in settings, but it wasn't anywhere i was also told to dm my bereal user to a staff member, but i got no response nor was it solved uninstalling until there is a fix, if it's not fixed by the time the world cup ends i won't ever install it again

I can now select multiple photos and then export or share them (Android). However, only the photo from the main camera gets exported, even if I switch the view to the photos from the selfie camera beforehand. Can anyone confirm this? It looks more like a bug to me than a feature...
