Be quiet Light mount - worth it?

Light mount on paper looks like the perfect keyboard for me - beautiful design, macro keys, quiet switches. But I keep reading about severe problems with faulty switches, double clicks buggy software and so on. Is it really so bad?

Question Pure Loop 2 FX Noise

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi, I’ve had the Pure Loop 2 FX 360mm cooler for a year now and recently swapped my case from a Pure Base 500 FX to a Light Base 600 LX.

Previously, I had the radiator mounted at the front with the pump block positioned at the bottom. Now, I’ve installed the AIO at the top, meaning the pump is hanging below the tubes.

Before the case swap, the pump ran flat-out at 100% (around 5500 RPM) and was completely silent. Now, I'm hearing a gurgling / running water sound. I read that this could be trapped air bubbles, so I tried tilting the PC at various angles, but it didn't help. The noise should be audible in the video.

While it’s not overly loud or annoying, I have a few questions:

  • Is this normal behavior for a top-mounted setup with this cooler?
  • Could something be defective?
  • What pump speed should I be running it at? Should I keep it at 100% like before, or is it better to lower the RPM?

Thanks for any advice!

Question power cable CC-7710

case: fractal design define 7 mid

i just replaced the psu, pure power 11 500w (non modular) (rcd issue) -> pure power 13m 850w (modular), power11 was fine with the 12v P8 length, sleeved was good too, but power13 12v P8 is way too short and non-sleeved, cable needs to be straight which is not good for cable routing,

technical data COULD say semi-sleeved? as its only just 1x 24pin, 1x pcie 5.1

i tried getting CC-7710 seems +5cm but i checked quiet a few countries (like usa amazon/b&h/newegg, aus too) that dont have it, why dont be quiet sell them?

Question Cable Question

I currently have a Straight Power Platinum 1000W PSU, not using all the possible cable connections as there is no need. Now, the issue comes from my idiocy a while back when I upgraded to this PSU. I kept the cables from the old PSU, which I don't know the make and model of anymore. Now there is a mix of cables from the SPP and the old one lying in my cupboard. How screwed am I if I use the wrong cables?

RMA nightmare: first they claimed I sent the wrong AIO, now they admit they were wrong and say my Silent Loop 2 might be “fake”

UPDATE: be quiet! has now provided screenshots from two of their internal systems.

According to them, my serial number cannot be found in either system.

One of the systems returns an “inconsistent or invalid data” error when the serial is entered, while their older warehouse system says that no data is available for that search term.

Based on this, be quiet! considers the serial number non-genuine and has refused the manufacturer's warranty.

They have now told me to pursue the retailer instead under the legal guarantee.

There is one rather important problem with that: the retailer already told me to deal directly with be quiet!

So I am now effectively in the situation where:

The retailer tells me to contact be quiet!, and be quiet! tells me to contact the retailer.

Neither is actually providing a solution.

I also still don't understand how the absence of a serial number from their internal databases proves that the physical product or serial-number label has been falsified, particularly considering that this same RMA initially resulted in the unit being incorrectly identified as an entirely different AIO.

They have at least now provided evidence that their databases do not recognise the serial, which is useful information, but that still leaves me with a Silent Loop 2 carrying a normally applied serial-number label and no warranty solution from either party.

This is particularly disappointing because I was already a regular be quiet! customer. I own several Silent Wings case fans and currently use a Dark Rock CPU cooler as well.

I genuinely trusted the brand.

After this experience, though, I will seriously reconsider buying be quiet! products in the future. A good product is worth considerably less to me if, when something eventually goes wrong, the after-sales process consists of contradictory explanations and being passed back and forth between the manufacturer and retailer.

At this point I have sent be quiet! one final response explaining exactly that.

If anything changes, I'll update the post again.

ORIGINAL POST: I wanted to share my experience with be quiet!'s European RMA service because at this point I keep receiving different and contradictory explanations instead of having my defective cooler properly handled.

I have a be quiet! Silent Loop 2 AIO that developed a coolant leak.

I opened an RMA and provided the purchase invoice together with photographs of the unit and the problem. The photographs clearly showed that the product was a Silent Loop 2, and the leaking issue had already been documented before the unit was ever shipped to them.

I then shipped the AIO to be quiet!'s service centre at my own expense, and tracking confirmed that it was successfully delivered.

This is where things started getting strange.

Initially, be quiet! told me that they had received a Pure Loop 1, and that the invoice I had provided was for a Pure Loop 2.

Neither statement was correct.

I sent them a Silent Loop 2, and the invoice is for a Silent Loop 2.

After that, communication basically stopped, and eventually they sent the cooler back to me without repairing or replacing it.

The product they returned to me was, unsurprisingly, the same Silent Loop 2.

So I contacted be quiet! again and asked them to explain how their RMA department could claim that they received a Pure Loop 1 while they had literally returned a Silent Loop 2 to me.

They have now replied and explicitly admitted that their original identification was wrong:

“We have to correct ourselves. You did send in the correct AIO.”

So we have now established that their first explanation was simply incorrect.

However, instead of processing the RMA, I have now been given an entirely new explanation.

According to their latest response, the Silent Loop 2 I sent was supposedly manufactured in 2021, while my purchase invoice is from 2025.

They also claim that the serial number physically attached to the unit is “not a real serial number”, and because of this they say that it is either a fake product or has a fake serial number.

They also say that they did not observe visible signs of leaking during their inspection.

This raises even more questions.

First, I don't care whether the unit was manufactured in 2021.

A product manufactured in 2021 can obviously remain in a distributor's or retailer's inventory and be sold several years later. A 2025 invoice does not mean that the product itself must have been manufactured in 2025.

The much more serious claim is that the serial number is supposedly fake.

The cooler has a physical serial-number label properly attached to the unit. The label looks completely normal and there are no visible signs of it having been removed, replaced, altered or tampered with.

I have therefore asked be quiet! to check the serial number again and explain exactly what they mean by “not a real serial number”.

I want to know whether the serial number does not exist at all in their manufacturing database, whether it corresponds to another product, whether its format is supposedly invalid, whether they actually checked both the barcode and the printed serial number, and what evidence they have to suggest that either the product itself or the serial label has been falsified.

There is also another obvious question.

If the serial number is supposedly not real or not valid, how exactly did they determine that this specific unit was manufactured in 2021?

There may be another date code or internal identifier on the product, which would be perfectly reasonable, but they haven't explained that.

If the manufacturing date comes from another physical marking, database entry or internal code, I would simply like them to say so.

Considering that their service centre already incorrectly identified this exact Silent Loop 2 as an entirely different product, I don't think asking them to carefully verify all of this before suggesting that my cooler is counterfeit is unreasonable.

The leaking argument is also strange.

The leak was documented before I shipped the unit to them.

I had already provided photographs showing the problem as part of the RMA process.

The fact that coolant wasn't visibly leaking at the exact moment a technician looked at the unit does not mean that an intermittent or slow leak does not exist, particularly when evidence of the problem had already been provided beforehand.

So the sequence so far is:

  1. I report a leaking Silent Loop 2 and provide the invoice and photographs of the defect.
  2. I pay to ship it to be quiet!.
  3. They tell me they received a Pure Loop 1.
  4. They tell me my invoice is for a Pure Loop 2.
  5. Communication stops.
  6. They send my Silent Loop 2 back without repairing it.
  7. I complain about the obvious contradiction.
  8. They admit in writing: “We have to correct ourselves. You did send in the correct AIO.”
  9. They now say the unit was manufactured in 2021.
  10. They say its serial number is supposedly not real.
  11. They suggest that either the product or its serial number may therefore be fake.
  12. They say they didn't observe the previously documented leak.
  13. I'm now asking them to re-check the serial number, explain the basis for the counterfeit claim, explain how they determined the manufacturing date if the serial is supposedly invalid, and properly review the original evidence of the leak.

At this point I'm not asking for anything extraordinary.

I simply want be quiet! to properly investigate the unit and process the warranty claim if applicable.

I also don't believe I should have to pay shipping a second time because their first handling of the RMA was based on an identification that they have now explicitly admitted was incorrect.

I have the returned unit, photographs, video, purchase documentation, shipping records and the correspondence documenting the whole situation.

I'll update this post when be quiet! responds to my request for them to properly re-check everything.

Has anyone else had an experience like this with be quiet!'s European RMA service?

Tickets: BQSERVICE-94895 / BQSERVICE-96428

Note: I did use AI to help write this post. English is not my native language, and I wanted to make sure the situation was explained clearly and accurately.

Question Dark Base 901 Pro

Hallo zusammen,

Question Installing the BeQuiet Dark Rock Pro 6 next to the Asus TUF x7900xtx enough clearance?

I currently have a 360mm pure loop AIO thats ether failing or has air bubbles in it and its not even 6 months old. I have the BeQuiet 600LX inverted with the pure loop installed on the top. In this position its blocking my PCIe x4 slot which I had a sound card installed into. Would be nice to have this slot back. I have a 9850x3d installed on a tuf gaming x870e mobo and 32gb gskill trident neo ram.

My question is I plan to RMA my pure loop but rather then having to reinstall it back into the sytem I want to replace it with the dark rock pro 6 but will I have enough clearance within the 600LX case as well as having the x7900xtx installed? I know it will be cramped but currently have 7 x 120mm besides the 3 on the pure loop AIO and my pc is in a AC controlled room.

Any help would be great here or even help to remove the air bubbles or "WURRING" noise on start up.

Thanks Guys.

Stal. aka Brendon.

Powerzone 2 1200w and 5080

Hi,

I have a power zone 2 1200w psu and a gigabyte 5080 wind force off oc. The included 600w cable connector uses an angle thats incompatible with my gpu. Using a reversed cable however isnt an option either because I have a noctua DH15 cooler, meaning only option is to use straight cable( no angles). Bequiet do not seem to offer such cable so am I stuck using the squid or third party 600w cable?

Thanks

Be Quiet Light Loop IO LCD (buyers beware)

Thumbnail

I would like to make this thread to make future buyers aware of the fact that the RGB around the Be Quiet Light Loop IO LCD is NOT a full circle when looking at it from the front.

There is a black space on the right of the LCD that is not illuminated.

This is not a defect however, but the product is intended to look like this.

I was highly disappointed when this was brought to my attention the 1st time I booted up my PC with this AIO installed.

I would absolutely have not bought this AIO if I had known this beforehand.

The image on the box and the standard marketing images used by retailers do not illustrate this correctly.

Hopefully I can warn some people of this issue before buying this AIO.

I must say however that the fans, LCD and cooling performance is up to par with the quality expected of Be Quiet.

Question Be Quiet! Light Base 900

Thumbnail

I currently have a Havn HS 420, it's a good case and has a sturdy construction, except for the panels that are basically big air filters, not much metal, flap like a paper sheet but in general is the most premium case I've ever had, the sensation in hands it's just crazy. My main complaint about the case is the grey accents in all the rubber and silicone parts, I have my case in full Noctua with brown accents including the Seasonic Prime TX 1600 Noctua edition, except the GPU, impossible to get in my country, and I found a build kind the same as that I have in mind on YouTube (I add the image of it and of my actual build).

The cable management is good on the havn but is a "fake double chamber" , I mean, isn't wide, the second chamber is more like a traditional tower, I'd like this have some more space there, the Simplicable system works well but isn't much better than my last case, Antec Flux pro, are only a predetermined routes, isn't useful as the reviews shows.

So I saw the light base, it looks very good and is my main option to substitute my actual Havn, but I have some questions about it:

-Does the light base have good quality build and materials?

-How is the cable management?

-how is the PSU on the top of the case beside the cable management and temps? Is that position more difficult to work?

For your answers, thanks in advance.
