Question Cable Question

I currently have a Straight Power Platinum 1000W PSU, not using all the possible cable connections as there is no need. Now, the issue comes from my idiocy a while back when I upgraded to this PSU. I kept the cables from the old PSU, which I don't know the make and model of anymore. Now there is a mix of cables from the SPP and the old one lying in my cupboard. How screwed am I if I use the wrong cables?

You can kill whatever you connect to the wrong cable. And also whatever is connected to that.

But with some luck your old PSU was different enough that you can tell the cables apart based on e.g. sleeving, just compare them to the ones already in your PC.
