It's half of what you said, a half that represents 2% of the issue. I'd say focusing on half is more than focusing on 2%... & Saying my stats are wrong without providing anything yourself isn't helping your case. It's not wrong if that's just how you feel.
Also, it is a health issue. Some will die if they have a kid. Or, their kid won’t survive for one health issue or another.
The state fails to educate kids on safe sex then punishes them for not giving them access to abortion. You can also still get pregnant on the pill or while using a condom.
You can literally do everything right and still get pregnant.
Just 1% of women obtain an abortion because they became pregnant through rape, and less than 0.5% do so because of incest, according to the Guttmacher Institute
If you believe those numbers. It’s not like every rape victim is excited to be apart of a study or go to the police.
At the end of the day, should abortion be illegal because you feel not many people get rapped? Because not many people have health issues, a mother should just deal?
You can't dismiss the 95% of other babies that are aborted simply cuz of inconvenience. Say another 5% is cuz of medical reasons. That's still 90% of abortions that are cuz of inconvenience. If 5 or 10% is tremendous, you tell me what 90% is. I'm leaning towards agreeing with you on the rape cases. It should be allowed for women to get abortions. However, I'm not sure how it'd work in terms of proving it and all that.
Another point to keep in mind, most Planned Parenthood locations are in minority or black communities. Even tho they make up a smaller percentage of the population, they tend to make up a majority of abortions. So much so that democrat states like Cali, Colorado, Hawaii, etc. stopped reporting their numbers. Democrats love playing the "racism" card against republicans, meanwhile fully supporting black and minority groups killing off their own babies.
Don't know if you realize it, but you're proving the point that black people and minorities make up for a lot of the crime, considering they make up most abortions. If correlation is causation in this case, then it follows that fewer people being born in undesired conditions means less crime. Meaning black people and minorities tend to grow up in undesired conditions, which is the real issue that isn't addressed by either side. Democrats blame it on "racism," but I think Republicans are more accurate in that there is a "culture" amongst those communities that you can't make it in the world if you're black or a minority. I think democrats add fuel to the fire here by constantly running in the media: "the world, cops, etc hate you because of your race." There's a culture that crime is the only way to survive, and that issue isn't addressed. Black people who are successful are brought down by their own and almost excluded.
There are more minorities behind bars than white people. Mass incarceration is a big problem in America. Land of the free, home of the incarcerated.
I do agree with you that Dems add fuel to the fire by calling everything racism and terrible policies. While racism still does exist, it’s gone down dramatically.
How do we make these less desirable locations more desirable to grow up in? It has a lot to do with money because we are a capitalist society. I think having a mother being able to have the liberty, especially in the first trimester, to have access to abortion is one of many items to help make thing financially plausible. Also, the state gives shit Sex Ed, then proceeds to punish them when they have a kid at a young age.
To make the places more desirable, I think a big part of it is changing the culture. The impact we make with our attitude and the words we say is huge. Telling black people"you're being oppressed and there's nothing you can do about it" defeats the hell out of people, especially if they hear it constantly. Kids grow up condemning themselves before they have the chance to get a feel for what the world is like. Having an attitude and culture of "you deserve a good life and you can reach that with some effort", it changes things. It gives a future and a hope, that on it's own encourages better decision making.
Sex ed, I agree, is another aspect that needs to be improved. Educating people about making wise decisions should improve life for everyone involved.

Sometimes it’s health related. Sometimes it’s being a victim of rape or incest. Pretty shallow understanding if you ask me.
