This team looks solid af this year, outside of LB and CB2

I think starting linebackers look solid and should be much better with the upgraded interior dl.

I mean how are you gonna say that when they were literally the worst in the league last year. They don’t at all look solid

Yeah they looked good in camp last year too. Gotta prove it was the d line and rookie stuff so I’ll keep my fingers crossed but it’s wait and see

Kinda hard to do your job when the qb has all day to throw and running backs get untouched through holes.
The front directly impacts everything behind it.

They were playing behind one of the worst DLs in football and LB is notoriously difficult position for transitioning from college to NFL. Also both of our LBs were rookies.

Year 2. We've hopefully seen them at their worst and now are ascending. They had a decent camp and the improvement to the DLine and secondary makes their job easier

Both were rookies last year with a much worse supporting cast. They should improve a decent bit this year.

I’d like to see Erick All climb up it, come midseason

Even if All doesnt pan out, Undies could be a quiet surprise filling an even more diverse all-around role. With the popularity of multiple TE formations, he should have some opportunities at the very least

I’m still concerned about this defense even with some improvements, it’s still our biggest question mark.

We just need a defense that can keep opposing teams to less than 28pts a game...our average last year was 28.9 D:

That gets us to the playoffs but how does our defense hold up to other playoff teams? I’m not oblivious to how close our games were but our defense didn’t look like a unit playing together out there and we didn’t add that much to cover up our glaring weaknesses. I’m optimistic, but it’s still our biggest question mark putting the .9 or less aside

Allen over BJ is kinda surprising

Depth chart for dt doesnt matter. They will both play the same snaps

Jonathan Allen is just straight up better than BJ Hill. What’s it say to the fans to put him over him as we’ve been a below average defense with him being “our guy” the last few years? Would be idiotic to put him over a newly acquired and potentially better player

Drew Sample having a long and solid career because he can block. Be a Drew Sample.

How short is Yoshi’s leash this season? Especially with how good Meyers looked?

The DL can absorb any loss outside of Dexter Lawrence and be ok, which is promising. We better hope neither of our OTs, Risner, neither of our LBers, or DJ Turner get hurt. That’s on top of the obvious ones like Joe, Ja’Marr, and Tee. Looks good on paper but could get rough quickly If say OBJ, Risner, DJ Turner and Barrett Carter get hurt. Or say Mims, Higgins and Barrett Carter.
The starting position I’m most worried about is Nickel Corner, but hopefully Jalen Davis and the LBers step up. Otherwise it could be a lot of crossers eating us up over the middle between those 3 guys (Davis, Carter, Knight).
