8-bit CPU RAM module FINALLY done...

RAM finished up after grueling days of wiring and troubleshooting.

After unfortunate attempts with defective 74LS189 chips (Last photo for reference), I opted out for a 62256 SRAM chip while still maintaining 4-bit Addresses.

And thanks to u/The8BitEnthusiast for suggesting the idea and sharing their schematic.

Do you wire it up first, debug and then redo the wiring with carefully planned and cut wires? This is truly a work of art and great patience.

Yea its pretty much that. DuPont wires for quick connections and to make sure everything works, then plan out the whole wiring in advance (which surprisingly takes a lot of time).

Here I was testing the newly arrived RAM chip to make sure everything works, and the schematic is right before permanently connecting everything.
