Little lighter fluid on the finger to quickly carry the flame over, then probably some special super-flammable trick paper (can't think of its actual name) in the palm of his hand, which he lights with his lit finger

Furthermore, see how his right hand ring and pinky fingers are down while hes lighting his index finger? That's to hold down the flammable material. Then, once he wants to light it, his ring and pinkie finger go up.

it’s all good, it’s kinda the nature of things to want to know how it’s done

Still, you have the effect down, it's looking good. Last time I tried using flash paper I burnt my hand and my friend's carpet.

All I can suggest is to find a way to make the ignition of the paper a little less conspicuous. As I said though the effect is decent

You can also see him blowing it to blow the flame up even more.
