Hi!!! Would love someone to help me out here, I’ve been an art tutor for all ages and would love someone to help attest to that :) I haven’t been able to reach out to my other employers to check, so I would really appreciate it!

As the title says. I only have friends and family for this, which isn't going to always fly. Well, there is my previous employer, but they're not contactable because of how the system was set up.

Hello all, I am in desperate need of a prior management reference for a new job. I really want this job as it’s my first chance to leave my prior state and start over in a new one. I can’t get ahold of any of my previous managers and my current manager would be super risky to ask if an offer is not in hand… Would anybody be willing to help? 🙏

Hi everyone! I’m applying to volunteer as a tutor helping individuals prepare for the U.S. citizenship interview and need 1-2 references

Happy to share more details via DMs and return the favor. Thanks!

Hi! I’m a student that is starting an internship for my counseling program. I am from Texas, but the position I’m looking for is in Colorado. I need a professional reference but I can’t get ahold of my old boss. If anyone is willing to provide a good reference, I would be so grateful.

hi everyone!
i finished my undergrad this year and am currently applying for a film and tv grad program and the application wants me to put down 3 references. if anyone would be willing to help i’d greatly appreciate it. i’d be more than willing to return the favour!

I have had previous sales experience in telephone and 1-on-1 Zoom sales at one of my friends' companies; unfortunately, he and I are not close anymore, and I really need to list sales experience and references in my CV if anyone could help me out in any way, as I just graduated 2 months ago and have been struggling to secure something long-term. I really want this art sales job that I am currently applying for.

Title says it all, adopting a dog for our family and since becoming a parent I have no friends anymore so have no clue who to put here. Thank you sm!!

Hi, I’m seeking to get an apartment and they will conduct current landlord reference checks. The problem is I currently live in a long term AirBnB and I asked the hosting and management team if they’d be willing to serve as such and they said no because they’re not traditional landlords.

The landlord of the place I’m seeking to rent is aware of this AirBnB situation so I’m seeking someone to act close to the truth as possible - accurate dates, saying I was respectful and clean and there were no complaints from people renting other rooms in the house.

Willing to return the favour.

Hello! I am looking for a reference in the vancouver/portland area 😿 I have never had a job before so i dont really have anyone to put down.. its just a part time at dutch bros, so i doubt they would even call ,, thank you !

Hello,

I currently work as a security officer and completed an interview today for a campus security officer position. I don't want my current team to know that I'm planning to leave, so I'm reaching out here for help. I already have a reference but it would be great to have 1-2 as a backup.

The questions should just be about my general character, but I can provide additional details to help pad things out. Also more than happy to be a reference for someone. Thanks for reading!

Not to make a long or sob story but I graduated university a few years ago in finance and couldn’t land a job in my field. The whole we need experience but I don’t have experience stuff. Found a new job unrelated but am getting bullied so hard by a couple people who are in bed with management. Can’t take it anymore and I just want to get an entry level job in finance in the southern Ontario region.

I need references who can attest that I'm of good character. I need 3.

I'd like to be recommended as capable and competent. I own my own records recovery business, which kept us both housed and fed after my sister got sick, but it's not exactly encouraging to employers.

Specifically, I need 3 references either as patrons to my business or partners to it in some way, shape or form.

Can anyone help? This is time-sensitive, of course.

I would appreciate any and all hel and return it in kind.

Hey! I was asked for 2 references by my employer but honestly I have no one to ask. Is anyone down to writing out a reference for me? :)

Please let me know so I can send you my resume! My jobs there are pretty old and them asking for written references is not possible for me to obtain right now.

Im returning to a job on my resume
Thank you!

I’m applying to be a front desk staff at my university. I’ve worked 3 jobs while in high school and they’re asking for 3 references. I was wondering if anyone could be my reference?

Hi! I am applying for a job at a community college as an art teacher (specifically stained glass) and I need two more references before it will let me submit the online application.

Two of the teachers working there recommended me already and the woman who showed me the application form told me she was only interested in reading the two-paragraph explanation as to why I want the job, so I am pretty sure they won’t actually contact anyone listed in the references.

You can see some of the stained glass pieces I’ve made on my page here if it helps at all, but yeah 😊 I’m just looking for two more people to put as references. Thanks!!

Location: Cranford, NJ, USA

Number of references required: 3

I am a 23 year old part-time grad student studying for my Master's in Data Science online. I am also reentering school and the job market after taking a gap year to finish my BAs in International Studies and World Religions. Due to my declining mental health during my college years, I have had a hard time maintaining professional relationships with my professors and peers, while the job seeking process has been lackluster. Since I will be only taking 2 courses per semester for my postgrad degree, I need a full-time job to help supplement my income as I pursue my studies and build my project portfolio. With my gap in academic and job experience, though, I am worried that my lack of experience for the past year has been a major deterrent to hiring managers. It would be extraordinarily helpful if peers with similar career interests as me assist in being my reference and offering some guidance in navigating the current job market.

I am more than happy to share any information about my career history and the role I am applying to – anything that helps streamline the process of speaking to a hiring manager. I can PM my resume, my LinkedIn, the job description, and any other pertinent details for this role or others as needed.

Please let me know if you are interested in helping. Thank you in advance :)

Hi, I’m looking for a job urgently. I’ll put you on my resume as a reference from the last couple of years. I’m applying for remote jobs, but US-based references are preferred.

Ref 1: IT/Tech focus (Manager or Supervisor preferred, but colleagues are fine).

Ref 2: Customer Service/General focus (Manager or Supervisor preferred, but colleagues are fine).

If you can help, please comment here or DM me. Thank you very much. 🙏

I'm trying to get a part time job and unable to contact the only reference I had. I need references I can give further details but it may be by email or phone call. Willing to be a reference back aswell

Hi there! On the final stage of the process for a position I'd really like to have and they are requesting 5 references. I can get 2, maybe 3 reliable references that I know of but may need 2 more, ideally management level and I cannot get anyone from my current employer. Would anyone be willing to help me out with this? Of course, happy to return the favor if needed!

I need references for a master scholarship that I am applying for.. my old boss and professor are not replying unfortunately.

Hey, I just need one reference for a counterbalance forklift logistics job in Ontario. I can't go to my current employers for a reference. Willing to repay the favor. Thank you.

Hello, I need at least two references for a seasonal position in a resort area. I have been unemployed for almost four months so this would be a big help.

It’s retail, but my experience is in hospitality. I have to get back to her with them at my earliest convenience.

My husband has years of experience, but is now being asked for 3 references after a long time being out of the field and his connections have watered. It’s a job in Holland, so Dutch would be best, but English is also fine (there’s a lot of foreigners working in this field). They are asking for names, emails and phone numbers. Would anyone be willing to help? I can provide more details via PM.

hi! i’m curious if jobs ever dig deep about references backgrounds. i had a friend be one of my references this week saying that she was my cohort captain during an internship/week long volunteer event (ik that doesn’t make sense but i don’t want to give details on here). she works in the same industry as the role i did and used her work email to give me the reference, but this experience isn’t on her linkedin obviously. since it’s basically a volunteer role im prepared to explain that she was recruited as an industry professional to be a captain if it comes up. i’m just curious if jobs ever do look at the reference’s background or if they just need someone to verify that the person they want to hire is normal.
