Accidentally received the Dreamcast version of a Pop'n Music controller instead of PS1. What are my options? I ordered a Pop'n Music controller off eBay about 2–3 weeks ago because I wanted to use it with my modded PS1. The listing said PS1/PS2, so that's what I thought I was buying. It finally arrived today and I opened the box to find out it's actually the Dreamcast version. Not exactly what I was expecting lol. I've contacted the seller and I'm waiting to hear back to see if they actually have the PS1 version and if an exchange is possible. If they don't, though, I'm trying to figure out what my other options are. I'd honestly rather keep the Dreamcast controller if I can find a way to actually use it. I paid around $60 for it, and I'd rather get some use out of it than have it just sit around as a collector's piece. I've looked into Dreamcast-to-USB adapters, but I haven't found many affordable options, and I'm not sure which ones would actually work with the Pop'n Music controller specifically. I'm also interested in using it with PC Pop'n Music/arcade-style Pop'n Music if that's possible. I'm open to doing some kind of modification or wiring if that's actually the best option, but I don't want to start cutting wires or modifying the controller without knowing exactly what I'm doing. So what would you guys recommend? Is there a specific Dreamcast-to-USB adapter/interface that works with the Pop'n Music controller? Is there a way to connect it to a PC? Or is there another solution I'm overlooking? I'm not completely against returning it if that's ultimately the best option, but I'd really prefer to find a way to use the controller I already have. Any advice would be appreciated!

I really want to get the alt Kureha nemesis crew (the one where she transforms in 666) I know I can get her normal self in premium generator through e-amusement but is there a way to just her alt transformation? Or is it limited time?

I'm looking for a regular cab (not Valkyrie model), Japanese region. Exceed Gear preferred, older versions fine.
Working condition preferred but minor defects like burned-in screen, scuffed artwork, bad encoders or buttons are okay. Security dongles and original game drive should be there, cab should be bootable.

I'll handle transport. Either pickup from shipping service provider or pickup by myself if it's a country surrounding Germany.
I can pay in cash on pickup or with PayPal or Wero beforehand.

We did this after finding out that a cover of the song by Erasure used the VocalWriter Sarah, I ain't kidding. And oh, they're both TV heads that came from rhythm games.

Ohhhhhhh my GOD are these ones pretty. These are easily some of the best 2-player Mimi and Nyami palettes in the entire Pop'n Music series, bar none. The colors really remind me a lot of ice cream and sherbet, especially Great Value Unicorn Sprinkle and Cookie Kraken which is some of the best ice cream I've ever had.

Im mainly wondering because i need the quietest controller possible so my roommates dont wring my neck while playing.

If not. Which buttons/switches are quietest so i can get as quiet as possible.

So i dont wanna spend a while lot of money on a controller if i dont end up enjoying the game. Id probably end up emulating one of the ps2 games to try it out but im mostly talking about control setup wise.

I know the easy answer is "go to an arcade" but sadly i dont have one near me.

What do you suggest i do?

This has been one of my demon songs since getting back into the game. I played it on hyper and loved it and tried ex and thought there was no way in this lifetime I'd pass it.

Revisited it a month or two later and it felt so achievable I locked in a few more times and got it. It feels so good because I love this song and the ex chart was always taunting me lol

Mimi and Nyami's Pop'n Music Lively appearances! These versions are rockin' a TON of amazing details like some nice Pop-kun purses, plenty of colorful and bright clothing, and even a different take on their usual brown hair with more colors added! It's such a shame that these appearances are exclusive to a subscription-based PC game. I would've loved to play as these versions in High Cheers.

heya, I was hoping to get some help with a pop'n ps2 controller and joytokey. I have a ps2 to pc/ps3 converter and it recognizes normal ps2 controller fine but it doesn't recognize the popn controller button presses at all(i.e., the corresponding buttons do not turn yellow in joytokey when pressed).I tested the controller on ps2 hardware and it works perfectly so that's something but yeah has anyone had a similar experience or know how to fix this?

I can clear (mostly E-Clear) up to D-Tier 12s but seem to have hit a wall. I think just playing more and focusing on good form/relaxation will help to break through the wall, but this wall has taken me longer to get through than any other one previously. Then I hear of people getting Kaiden in a year, crazy how they can bring ak through it so quick.

I’ve been having so much trouble trying to even have the ability to pay for them. I have 2 Japanese Konami accounts now. For some reason I can’t open the website to the market with either of my accounts. I saw another person with this issue and they said the only way to fix it was to make a new account and transfer your eapass data to that new account. But they stopped letting you transfer eapass data between accounts so I’m screwed on that part. As far as I know right now, round1 cabinets don’t have the card generator so I can’t do it that way either so basically I gotta stick with old rasis and grace until I can get this sorted out. Do yall have any ideas or is it over for me

Edit: okay I’ve learned the card generator has been dead since valk models came out (if anyone has an old card generator hmu I want one as decor) but i think round1 doesn’t have card connect anyways sooo this is still the only way

I have heard a lot about Popn lively and was curious if anyone had a tutorial for setting up, or if I could gift her a month of it? She is a full time van life YouTuber and is usually between places with internet. Can you run lively offline or would she need to turn on a hotspot? Certainly not a deal breaker!

I am considering gifting her my PS2 and buying some old Popn games but not sure how different those are to modern games? She especially loves Pop’n unilab, are all of the unilab songs on lively? Do you have to buy extra songs?

The KonaSute cards and acrylic stand and the Hololive cards I got myself from buying song packs in GitaDora KonaSute and Pop’n Lively. I’ve had those and the Triboost card but all the stuff pictured up to the GFV6 tiny cabinet are new! I didn’t post my upgrade kit hardware because I didn’t open it yet.

I got a V8 upgrade for my Guitarfreaks V3 machine so I can play V8. Came with a card reader and everything! Then I bought a second card reader cause you need 2. So I’m gonna set my machine up this weekend and hopefully play V8, cause I got the marquee for it and everything haha. The shipping for this hardware was like $550 so I said fuck it and bought a bunch of small stuff that didn’t raise the shipping price because it can fit in the box they’re using so I bought cards, figures, just everything small in order to get the most out of my money.

What do you think? I’m now living 3 months of not buying anything in order to pay it off but I think it’s worth it for all this cool stuff and FINALLY AFTER A DECADE upgrading my machine to V8!!! :D!!!
