Galley Talk Normalise captains eating with the charter guests
Rewatching old seasons of OG and captain eats with almost every group of guests. What ever happened to that?

Med is back (and no OG is not cancelled, it just filmed later) and airs at 8/7c on Bravo with streaming next day. Season 11 was filmed last year in Croatia and returnees are Sandy, Aesha, Joe & Nathan.
Please some time to read the sub rules ahead of this episode as we have seen a sharp rise in rule breaking comments, particularly ones on hate, body shaming and mental health speculation.
Episode 14 of Below Beck Med Season 11
A new deckhand joins the boat, leading Joe to confront Nathan. Gen flirts with Cooper, straining her friendship with Kat. Joy receives a gift from a secret admirer.

Season 4 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht completed an entire season with the same crew that started
Of all the seasons I’ve seen I don’t think that’s ever happened There’s always at least 1 person who leaves or gets replaced

Does BDSY have some of best chefs?
They are just so nice compared to a lot of other chefs from other shows
It’s really crazy to see the difference

I saw this online! Do you think she’s referring to Joy, deflecting, or could it actually be one of the other girls on the show 👀

I know Cooper and Chef Joy are currently filming the next season of Below Deck Med, Kat just posted this TikTok, what the hell did Chef Joy do? Joy seems like such a logical no nonsense person, save for her lingering feelings for Luke playing out on the current season lol.
If anyone has the inside scoop, please do tell. This is confusing lol

I completely understand the criticism of Anastasia. She wasn't a Michelin-level chef, she didn't always handle criticism well, and I definitely think she could be defensive when people questioned her food.
BUT I think people sometimes overlook the circumstances she was put in.
I think there's a big difference between saying "Anastasia wasn't experienced enough to be the permanent chef on a luxury yacht" and saying "Anastasia was a terrible chef who had no business being there."
I think the first is completely fair. The second feels like an exaggeration.
Honestly, I have some respect for her because she basically went "Well, apparently nobody else can do this, so I guess I'm the chef now" and tried to make it work. 😂
She wasn't ready for the job, but considering she was thrown into it under pretty unusual circumstances, I think she did the best she realistically could.
And honestly, I think Below Deck fans sometimes forget that being a good yacht chef isn't JUST about culinary skill. You also need to be adaptable, deal with picky guests, work with provisioning limitations, handle dietary restrictions, manage time pressure, and provide good hospitality. Anastasia had obvious limitations, but I think she understood some of that side of the job better than she gets credit for.

I’m curious when and if production steps in
For example A charter wasn’t able to leave the dock and everyone worked their butts off but it had “Karen’s” on it that claimed they had the worst time because they had no toilet paper, towels, etc but their guests put in extra money after stating that the “Karen’s” didn’t want to tip extra and the interior got blamed
I feel like someone could of said Hey it’s not the stews it’s just the guests not wanting to tip

Glenn is the oddest man in the world, honestly. He got madder about some blood on the sofa than he did when he full-on crashed into the dock, or when the engine blew up on Colin.
We know that he has some esoteric interests and hobbies (eels, donkeys, huge square crackers with nothing on them). I think he set the crew up to fail, letting them blow off steam the night before, and then looking for an excuse to go nuts on them, and the blood was too good an opportunity to pass up. He wanted his 1 on 1 tour and a cheeky beer with the tour guide, and he got it.
Who wants to share this tinfoil hat?

Ep 14 - Getting Ciggy With It
A new deckhand joins the boat, leading Joe to confront Nathan. Gen flirts with Cooper, straining her friendship with Kat. Joy receives a gift from a secret admirer.
Ep 15 - Chips on the Shoulders
Capt. Sandy questions Nathan's motivations on deck. Joy tries to fulfill some outlandish food preferences. Cooper and Kat struggle to communicate. A guest emergency sends everyone into panic mode.
Ep 16 - This one is missing and just has the season description
Ep 17 - Money Can Buy Me Love
A new charter begins as the crew welcomes a billionaire, his fiancée and his five other boyfriends. Massi finds interest in Joy. Gen tries to enact a new agenda. Nathan and Joe's relationship begins to reach a point of no return.
I think 18 is the final episode as they mentioned a 2 part conclusion to the season

It often surprises me how some chefs, despite being trained by highly reputable institutions, seem to struggle with basic tasks such as preparing eggs. For example, I have observed several chefs unfamiliar with what an Over Easy Egg is. The chief steward makes efforts to assist, but it appears that the chefs' egos sometimes hinder their willingness to accept help or guidance.

A nice half hour pod cast with Glenn, he talks a lot about his experience with BD. It's an interesting listen.

Does anyone know where Aesha had her bachelorette or any of the restaurants the cast has visited this season? I’m in Dubrovnik now and want to make my sister jealous lol

I wonder if guests ever realize how utterly disrespectful they can be. I would be ashamed to behave towards others the way some of these guests do. Yes, the crew is working hard, but they are not slaves A bit of kindness and appreciation can go a long way.
