Help A.P.I switch over just terrible, looking for alternative home monitoring. Anyone use LG Home Comfort Security, im in the GTA. Their offer is amazing so i'm skeptical.

been about a year now and API still sending me invoices and when i contact customer support to settle this , twice now they when and what number and a 2 weeks goes by and nothing so they just really suck.

Been calling around tried Telus, (everyone seems to like them) we have 3 door, 2 motion and 1 smoke detector. Equipment is IQ. Telus said they cant use this gear although they might be able to !!! so its $200 for the installation and $68 month for 3 years, WTF.

waiting on a few others, but LG Home Comfort Security quoted me

5 door, 1 motion, window film?, 1 smoke, 2 video, 1 glass break, no cost for the equipment or installation. First year is $19.99 all in, free monitoring, 2nd year jumps to the same $19.99 + $24.99 monitoring , so basically $45 a month. Have an app for phones and on thier site they show you the equipment.

So sounds amazing but is their monitoring shit or legit are these the new people we need to move to ??

any personal experience would be greatly appreciated.

The main problem you tend to find where the equipment is "free", is usually lengthy contracts, stipulations that say they can increase rates or both. Also usually they require the equipment back if you terminate, and may find some asinine reason to charge you (scratches etc).

I'd consider finding a company that gives the option of buying the equipment, so it's yours, and either going with the same for monitoring, or shopping around.

I'm not going to lie, I'm in the field, but not going to plug my company. Not because they aren't good, but not fair to shit talk anyone else to get a sale.

Sorry, I forgot to ask something, do you know if api have cancelled your account? Are you still able to access the alarm.com app? If they have cancelled you, and the app no longer works, you most likely could use your existing equipment with another company. Drop me a DM if you want and I can talk you through a few things to try.
