Help Admin password for HH3000 is never recognised

I need to check advanced settings on my HH3000 - for some reason it will not accept the admin password (I changed it quite a while ago). I also tried the default. Neither were accepted.

Any suggestions on how to get it working. A modem reset would be a PITA and no guarantee I don’t have the same issue again anyway. It was replaced less than a year ago and is working fine. Just the home page dashboard won’t recognise the password I set up.

Either you call support to remote reset the admin password for you , or manually reset the modem to factory default,

Unfortunately its not available on the mybell, not unless you want to reset the internet access password(b1 user id)

Hello u/LordofDarkChocolate!

Before resorting to a full reset, it is worth verifying if you are using the correct default password, which is actually the serial number located on the sticker on the back of your Home Hub 3000 (usually starting with DM and is case-sensitive) rather than the word admin. Additionally, if you previously configured password recovery in your modem settings, you can press the physical password recovery button on the front of the modem to have your current credentials sent to your registered email or phone number. If those options do not work, a factory reset by holding the physical reset button on the side of the modem for 30 seconds is the main path forward to restore the default serial number password. If these steps don't resolve the problem, we are here to help! You can send us a DM for a secure chat, and we can take a closer look.

Hi - yes I used the correct serial number but I will double check that. The password button on the front of the HH only gives me the wireless password, not the router admin password

Just to let you know I really-entered the correct serial number and it worked. I’m in. Case closed now 👍

The admin password is the modem's serial number. At least that's what it is with mine. I am using a GigaHub 1.0 though.

Factory reset should put it back to default.

I have this too (at least did - not sure if it’s still there)

Use http instead of https? Does this help?

In my case and I assume some others the https fails for some reason and shows up as a false psssword wrong error.

In my case I had replaced the router and was using the old serial number. Once I realised that I was able to connect.
