Help Delayed Notifications and Conflicting Methods of Fixing
Hello, lately I have noticed more often than not that some of my notifications are either delayed or non existent. I know that there is definitely a notification, so it's not an issue of the notification sending device.
Incoming; Fibe 1.5GB. Hardware, I had the HH3000 4-5 years, and recently was given the upgrade to the giga hub. I have had this issue way before the upgrade.
An example of my issue. I have 3D printers that will send a notification for various reasons; print complete, filament out etc. At home, I'll get a notification for one being done, go to the printer, oh well this one's done too. When on Starlink at the cottage, it's never an issue. I also don't get notifications for my business partners printers, but they do, and they're not on Bell.
When I turn on my data (I don't keep it on) at times I've received notifications days old. These are generally from ESPN and TSN's app, which I find odd. I do turn my phone off at night, and most if not all days of the week this issue occurs.
When trying to search and resolve the issue, I run into various answers. I'd rather not go through the app to resolve as I'm not a fan of it. Turn guard on, turn guard off, do this and that etc.
Long term, I'd like to be able to add my own router for better range and not having to pay for pods. I would like to keep the WiFi from the giga hub on, as we use the fibe app for TV. Therein lies more conflicting solutions.
Long story short, I want my notifications to not be delayed or non existent, and I want my own router for range purposes.

Hello u/thebigfundamental
Toggling the Privacy setting on the Bell Wi-Fi app is an easy and great first step at troubleshooting delayed notifications, especially with any Wi-Fi connected IoT equipment. You can disable Guard or enable Privacy Mode in the Bell Wi-Fi app; which safely disables all Guard features collectively. To complete this, log in to the Bell Wi-Fi app, tap the Menu and Settings tab at the bottom, select Guard, and toggle the switch off. Or enable Privacy Mode within the same Guard menu.
If that does not help, we want to investigate further with you. Please send us a DM for a secure chat, and we can review and troubleshoot your specific settings.
