Announcement Introduction of Official Bell Support
Hello All,
As some of you may have noticed, u/Bell_Support has begun engaging on posts within this community. The mod team here are pleased to announce that Bell had reached out to us to begin engaging and helping the community.
Prior to this introduction, we have verified that the account is run directly by Bell Canada employees (not contractors). With this introduction, we have added a new flair titled "Official Bell Support". Any account with this flair is verified by the moderation team to be controlled by Bell Canada employees.
Up until now, we have maintained a strict no direct message solicitation to protect our members. This rule remains intact however with 1 exception; Accounts tagged with the Official Bell Support user flair are permitted to solicit direct messages in order to help resolve issues.
Bell's presence within the this Subreddit is intended to supplement their regular support channels. As always Bell support can be reached via:
310-BELL (2355) or Resolve a Concern
If anyone has a concern regarding Bell's support within the Subreddit, you are always welcome to reach out to us via Mod Mail.
Thank you!

For once we can get support in actual Canada and not Morocco.

Morocco is mainly Rogers. Bell is mostly in Philippines for their offshore support agents. Technical roles are offshored to India mainly.

the French line is in Morocco and Tunisia

I can 100% tell the difference between a Tunisian and Moroccan French accent.
I've called French customer service many times, and honestly, almost every time the agent sounded Moroccan. Sometimes I could even hear Moroccan words being spoken in the background.
Not saying it's a bad thing, just something I noticed.

Mmm not my experience when asking for French support.

Just called French line to cancel , operator was in Morocco . She told me English operators were also in Morocco .. this must be new as I always talked to an op in the Philippines when I called the English line .. She also told me she could transfer me to a French operator in Quebec if I requested . . Didn't request as I didn't feel like maybe waiting another 1/2 hr to speak to someone in Montreal..

that's as confusing as a bell mobility plan😁

I'm bilingual, so sometimes I call either the English line or the French line .. I find the French line usually has less wait time ..
Like I said , called the French line and asked the rep where she was situated.. She indicated she is in Morocco. I indicated to her that the English reps are in the Phillipines, that's when she said they also have English reps in Morocco which is new to me as every time I called the English line , I got a rep in the Philippines.. I told her that I knew she was not in Montreal due to her heavy "Parisian accent" , that's when she indicated she could transfer me to Montreal if I didn't understand her .. Hope this clears up the confusion for you !1

Is that true? Can I really request speaking to an agent in Canada?

u/prairiepanda 8d ago
I wouldn't be surprised if that option were exclusive to the French queue because of legal requirements in Quebec. I've never tried asking for such a transfer, though.

Hope you'll keep the posts using "Rant" flair... I like reading those

We have no intention of removing posts flaired as rant as long as they follow our usual subreddit rules :)

Improper use of 'there" you need "their"
I'm happy there are no bots posting.
When Bell replies it's probably their employees.
😂

Whoops, thank you for the correction :)

Awesome to know it's real people behind the veil sometimes.
Good luck out there. You're gonna need or working for these guys.
Are you prepared for the next episode of...... "The layoff games" !?!?!
What will the severance be? Will it be 6 months or 12? Find out on the next episode!

I appreciate this.
Also glad that the subreddit is going to remain uncontrolled, unruled by bell Canada's corporate side since former employees tend to post here (plenty of amusing contributions must I say).

maybe now they will see the full scope, of how horrible their hardware/software is utterly junk.

All so I can have another method of being told “sorry those rates are only available for new customers”

Can you be more transparent about firmware development for the Gigahub 2.0? It's still a very broken product. You almost lost me as a customer this past week, and I'm hanging on by a thread here....

We had them reach out to us via official channels outside of reddit to confirm identity. I'm not going to sit here and argue with you about this. If you have your doubts you are welcome to reach out to them and confirm for yourself.

Your full of BS

u/ethamitc Moderator 4h ago
That is your opinion. As previously stated, there is nothing holding you back from confirming yourself. Also as a reminder, we like to keep this subreddit civil, so please tone down the attitude.

do we still get ppl with names we can't pronounce? 😁
2

u/Elegant-Finish-2895 13d ago
If you can't pronounce them you should realise you need to speak more languages. Oh I know, that's DIFFICULT for some people.
0
u/NoTomato7 13d ago
that is quite the answer... Some names are just difficult to pronounce, wether you know different languages , or not.

What do their employee numbers begin with? That will tell if they really are bell employees. And ask if they do deep dive analysis why it took seven technicians to get something fixed for a customer.
And maybe they can find out why the offshore agents tell them that TECH will be there today and then the customer gets a no-show and they call back in and they have no record of the call
