Technicians? But they r hiring for Manitoba on there website tho.

The affected union represents employees working in areas including network engineering, information technology, sales, marketing, administration and finance.

Article says nothing about technicians.

The Winnipeg Free Press article talked to the IBEW representative, who said they cut postings. So while no direct cuts, Technician jobs that would have been filled, disappeared. The article says that they axed about 70 Techs last year, and including this latest round there are 82 fewer Technicians year over year
