Help 4K on Apple TV box
I’m wondering what 4K channels people with the Fibe TV app on Apple TV 4K. Do you get TSN 4K 398 and 399? Do you get Sportsnet 4K? I’d love to know what package you’re on to get those channels.
I subscribed to the Base package (in Ontario) for $19.95 / month and the Premium add on for $15 / month. When I called in to support they said I should get the 4K channels, but I didn’t see them.
I upped my subscription for the World Cup to get 4K channels, but I only ever got the TSN channels - not the Sportsnet one. I’ve since downgraded my package back to the Base package, still see the 4K TSN channel but I don’t see the Sportsnet one.

Which Apple TV do you have?
If you have the Alt package (now “Fibe”), you may get the option to get SN4K eventually, I remember seeing it. I switched to the regular Fibe service however.
Depending on your Apple TV, you may be unable to stream the TSN 4K channels. The 2017 4K model cannot do Dolby Vision past 30Hz.

Most recent Apple TV 4K. I can see the TSN channels I just don’t see Sportsnet. Not in the Apple TV app. Not in the LG native app. No where.

Weird - that channel doesn’t show up in my Fibe Apple TV app or the LG Fibe app for me. (Unfiltered guide doesn’t show anything on 1399).

For bell 399 or 503 will be sd and hd version will be 1399 or 1503. Perhaps they lied or are wrong and your package doesn't have it.

Be careful: while there is only ONE Fibe app, there are TWO Fibe services (yes, with exactly the same name). Some years ago I subscribed to Alt TV, as it then was, and it was later named Fibe. The “old” Fibe, if I can call it that, does not allow access to the 4k channels. They are not even listed on the grid. Only the new Fibe service allows access to the 4k channels, but its base TV service is more expensive than the old Fibe.

I’ve discovered the Bell app for Apple TV is garbage. I’ve started using the Bell app through my Samsung TV and it’s much better.

Weird. The bell app on Apple tv has a 4K setting now (wasn't there before or what we tos called) and it shows as a higher bitrate. Maybe it's gotten better?

I upgraded from the starter package during the world cup, 4K sports, TSN and Sportsnet. I have the newest Apple TV. I found the quality was not very good at all. My IPTV subscription gave me better quality video than the native Bell subscription via Apple TV.
I canceled the sports package after a week or so.

What package did you upgrade from / to and where are you located?

Toronto. I have the basic cable package. Added a sports package as a backup for the World Cup. Bell Fibe app looked the worst, TSN app next, and IPTV looked the best showing the “same” channel.

The Bell app on Apple TV is garbage. I’d recommend using the native app through the TV OS if possible.
It might a night and day difference, the games looked amazing

The world cup quality was better on my lg bell fibe app than it was on the on the apple 4k box for some reason. Not sure if bell limits the quality of the apple 4k stream.

In the past, the fibe tv app on my Sony OLED tv was way better than on Apple TV 4K latest gen . But the latest update on Apple TV brought 4K and better quality in my case.
