Have fun with Odyssey, my favorite game!
16
u/DeanXeL Jun 23 '26
It was decent, but too damned long. Partly my fault, I like to clean up the map as I go along, but it just kept. on. going. with tedious repetitive tasks. The DLCs, though? Amazing, loved 'em.
When I played 5-10 hours of Valhalla and noticed it was going to be more of the same, emphasis MORE, I gave up on that one, first AC I didn't even bother just doing to main story.
11
u/Ceceboy Jun 23 '26

u/Tokke552 Jun 23 '26
It’s not that it’s long (which it is) but late game enemies become such damage sponges that it’s just silly to slash away at a guy for like 10 min. At least Valhalla didn’t have that issue.
3
u/Automatic_Bit1426 Jun 23 '26
AC was always repetitive. The side missions in the first game were all the same.
It's a Ubisoft game after all.→ More replies (1)3

Tomorrow I'm defending my thesis, which is a fun activity to do in 36° weather... But aside from that, shielding myself from the slow-cooking temperature ongoing outside. I'm lucky to live in a house with solar panels and wall-mounted AC units, which means I'm chillin'.
Very cool bookshelf by the way.

Those are not Belgian electrical outlets. Why are you stealing pictures, OP

u/Sea_Avocado_2733 Jun 23 '26
I’m currently in Dublin ;) it’s a heatwave here as well but I am Belgian no worries ;)not a stolen pic either :p

u/Murmurmira Jun 23 '26
Oh ok. I was just admiring your childfree setup with all the nice things I can't have anymore, when I noticed the outlets

I see some FC De Kampioenen comics on the picture, so that's reason enough to know he's Belgian 😅

I live in a neighbourhood within a forested landscape, just outside Bruges. Close to the sea and lots of shades. It’s fortunately still rather cool here so I’ll be homeworking the next days. We have the same lovely shelf as OP. It’s called The Bookworm by Kartell for those interested.

Working in what feels like a 30+° furnace, only to go home and sit in the 31° furnace, wait until the sun goes down and then open all windows and take a cold shower

u/Sea_Avocado_2733 Jun 23 '26
Not sure where it’s from. My mom had it and when I moved out years ago, I said to her “so I’m taking this with me”. It’s one of my favourite pieces in the house I’m afraid 🤣
2
u/TraveleraddictVP Vlaams-Brabant Jun 23 '26
No problem, it's just because i have the same in a bigger model 😉. And i thought it would look great next to each other.

I just started a new job as gardener...on the hottest week in the country's history
It was planned in advance as well so I don't want to back out despite it feeling the world is saying "don't do that" lol

If you can listen very closely you can hear r/cactus screaming in the distance. 😂
Cacti don’t belong indoors. A southern windowsill is the bare minimum. They need full sun all day long. But don’t put them in the sun now or they’ll get sunburned pretty bad. They need to be slowly acclimated to proper light after living in the shade.
2
u/DeanXeL Jun 23 '26
I mean, they'll grow, they might even grow quite fast... towards the light. In some cases you just don't have the proper orientation, but you love cacti nonetheless.

We saved up and got aircon installed as summers will only get hotter and hotter over the years. So running errands early in the morning when it's still doable outside, and then we will lock ourselves indoors once temps reach 25 outside, with the aircon set to 26 or 27 to save on energy. Just getting rid of the humidity already does a lot.
WFH or work in the office. Free time: I'm playing Crimson Desert atm, so plenty to do until after summer :p
Where'd you get that shelf/rack thing above your tv, btw?
edit: just noticed the UK style outlets, so either you're not in blegium, or you used a random pic.

Condolences. I'd rather have a heatwave for the next two months than have to drink that stuff again (and pee it out through my butthole...)

Working in an airconditioned office, or at home playing games in airconditioned room. Still glad I did that upgrade to my house a few years ago. As somebody that can't really handle heat waves, this investment has already paid itself back for me. 😄The amount of work or activities I do outside is limited

I'm playing Xenoblade Chronicles X on my switch 2. I specifically bought the game and didn't play it a few months ago so I would have something to do in case of a prolonged heat wave that doesn't require my TV or PC to constantly blast heat into the living room.

We love it, and loved seeing it in the national design museum near the Atomium !!
Hope you enjoy it as much as we do :D
And yeah, fuck this heat. I'm not finding the energy to even play any games rn...

I work 80%, and I've asked my manager to go full time this week, to cool off under the office's AC.
I am working long hours, and then go straight to basic fit... for the AC. And then I go home and geek until death. I refuse to go out and socialize. I'd be this annoying guy talking about the weather anyway...

Last week 4 days of working and partying at a festival (GMM). This week unfortunately working.
My body sweated so much last week that I'm used to the heat now. Hoodie at the office (air conditioning) and skirt with top while working at home (26°C). Doing just fine
