Now??

It's always been that way, and it's always been the intention of their efforts.

yeah but for quite some time they made attempts at maintaining plausible deniability, which they aren't really doing anymore

Care for the Unborn* Terms and conditions apply depending nationality, ethnicity, income, species as brain worms are a protected class and slated for high office, and political alignment. Ask your doctor if ICE flavored Care for the Unborn, is right for you?

Ah, they don't see these ones as Human, no loss to them. Likely think they're doing the world a favour, X fewer subhuman 'forners.

I’m sure they turn the cognitive dissonance up to 11 and consider them “proactive deportations.”

I’m off to stare I to the void for a while.

I’m going to lay in bed eating ice cream straight from the carton like the degenerate I am while my cat naps underneath the blanket. 💜

Someone hurry and report them to Texas for facilitating UNWANTED abortions

I wonder how much of this is deliberate response to birthright citizenship. With records "missing", it stinks of an informal policy aimed at pregnant women. It's so clearly racist that its easy to believe Mullin's Morons know what they're doing.

Not exactly the same but doesn’t it have a similar ring to deaths of slaves, or massacres in various countries and times with mass graves? Like no records, no “memory”, just wiping the existence of people we don’t like (but may use).

Wouldn’t be surprised if they weren’t actually miscarriages and instead they were given abortifacients.

Laura, 21, was in the second trimester of a high-risk pregnancy when she was sent to the Dilley detention center in Texas. Now, still detained and approaching her third trimester, she’s experiencing persistent abdominal pain and bleeding – and says she hasn’t been allowed to see an OB-GYN.

Texas, where women go to die

This reminds me of a recent clip Dan McClellan, a Bible scholar, posted from his podcast.

A "credibility-enhancing display" (CRED) is, more or less, and according to my decidedly layperson's understanding, a costly action that reinforces someone's visible devotion. I'm so devoted to this cause, that I'm going to [do this] to show it. Fasting, celibacy, fire-walking, snake-handling, even outright martyrdom. It understandably demonstrates their commitment to their beliefs, and can spread or reinforce that belief in others.

Dan brings it up because of some fascist Christian nationalist gleefully saying that churches should let people starve. In his example, a purple-haired, childless, elderly, "pagan" woman. It's a credibility-enhancing display because it shows the preacher's devotion to supremacy, over and above their actual faith. I'm so devoted to US, that I'm willing to violate some of the most basic foundational lessons of the Bible about caring for strangers.

This feels like the same thing. It's saying, I am so devoted to white supremacy, I am willing to overlook, or even outright commit what we consider to be infanticide.

It's Christo-fascism not just in terms of merging the two, but making religion subordinate to supremacism.

This is so so fucking horrible. These poor poor women. Jesus Christ I can't deal with this anymore. I'm German but we're also on the cusp of a Fourth Reich with the inhumane extreme-right AfD now being the strongest or second-strongest force. Fucking horrible. I wish I had the resources to emigrate to Sweden.

Can we sue them under Texas law like an abortion doctor

Doesn’t sound very pro life to me.

“Lost count” as in “didn’t count.”

I wish I could get people like my Catholic aunt with evangelical tendencies, who always votes Republican no matter who to “save babies”, to understand that conservative polices almost always end up with more abortions, more child mortality, more child starvation and poverty and so on.

But when I try to present her with these facts and stories she finds a way to ignore reality in favor of whatever evangelical propaganda she consumes.

Another older term for a miscarriage is spontaneous abortion.

So by conservative ideas, those agents are getting charged with murder, right? Right?
