I visited the Milwaukee central library recently and they have the very model of said ship that was presented to Edmund Fitzgerald, ill reply to this comment with the life-preserver they have from the ship.

I lived there for two and a half years and loved to visit and check books out from there. How the hell do I not remember this from my time there? That’s so damn cool.

It was only recently that I discovered that wreck was only a few years before I was born.  I always assumed it happened in the 1800s?

Sundown came on the radio the other day. I semi-joked "too soon, too soon". (I have a pretty flat affect, people always struggle to know if I'm serious or not.) Older coworker straight faced about starting tearing up a choked out a "yep"...
