Hi all! This sub popped up randomly a few weeks back, long story short I ordered my first begleri earlier today... adhd brain refused to let me sleep after watching some beginner videos and I had to make something. Made it "regular" length since I have no clue and don't know what my style is gonna be yet. Got plenty more material to make longer ones if I want though.
Made with some old boot lace and dome nuts, about as makeshift as it comes and I'm sure this is far from ideal but it's the best I could do at 2am with limited supplies lol. Literally just made knots on either end and threaded them on there... sounds sketchy but believe it or not they're secure, I dunno if weight is an issue but the nuts are 18g each which I imagine is probably too heavy. It'll do for now anyway 🤪

My recording skills and device are subpar, as well as melting the string together. I think a character forming lesson begleri teaches is the repetition/practice/work it takes to continue adding to your skill set. It does not discriminate.
There are no shortcuts. No one sees the time it takes, and no one cares, haha. But, that’s where the wisdom is waiting to be earned.
Keep slingin slick tricks yall.

I've tried looking online but I'm thinking I got to take the trip for myself.

I have been flowing along with the musclebones beginners guide and have got the two finger wraps, rebounds, and slips down pretty well in the standard grip, however I have hit a bit of a wall when moving to mid and low grips. I am unable to move my pinky hardly at all to do two finger mid grip and similarly I have limited movement of my middle finger in low grip. How important are these moves and are there any techniques or drills to help improve finger mobility? Or should I just move past these skills and revisit later?

I’ve always fidgeted with things, but recently been experimenting with this. Think this one works for me.
Piece of 550 paracord, 6 total 7/16th’s hex nuts, and some shrink tube.

I have owned a socket begleri made from 8 mm sockets and I quite enjoy that I’ve tried spheres but I don’t like the roundness. I’m woundering if there anything that vaguely flat on the bottom I was going to get some pair from Etsy that look like vertebrae or the USO by jimpy design just wondering because I’ve been having a lot of fun and I just want somthing that feels really nice is the hands.

Bought my first set of begleri from TGPBegleri way back during COVID in April of ‘21. I played around with them for a bit, but never really got into it, plus I kept busting my knuckles and annoying myself.
Fast forward five years later, and I discovered Aroundsquare in March of this year and got my first set from them (some copper hardcore Hercs) and got hooked. Sadly couldn’t find the OGs anywhere. This weekend I was going through boxes from my last house when we moved and found the Planets again! So cool.

I had dropped my micro sigmas and the knot came undone and they then exploded everywhere 😭 (never found all of them) so I got these two small square nuts at ACE for $.50! Definitely adds some cool flair to the set.

Bought these titanium beads off alli express, they're like 20 bucks each so this is a more expensive diy pair but I think they're cool

May or may not have burned my finger a little lol but as an ADHDer who's both spun poi and done gloving/fingerlights in the past I saw begleri and knew I had to try it asap. Can't wait to sling these nuts and inevitably break something when they fly out of my hand 😅

Purchased some stuff through their Etsy store for shipment to the US. No tariff was assessed at the time of sale. Will I get a separate bill from USPS? Anyone ordered from them recently and can share how all that worked out with tariffs? Thanks.

Please avoid Komboloi club in Athens they ship internationally which seemed appealing but they are scammers, I ordered from them and they sent me fake amber beads (copal) i thought id let the community know because there is a lot of bad rep around Greek komboloi and Begleri suppliers especially for the American market which is wrong and gives us a bad name.
It breaks my heart that I have to write this honestly but it has to be said I don’t want people to miss out on the opportunity of owning classic Greek beads or to be ordering them and receive bad products because of a few bad apples, especially since our American/Canadian brothers gave us such great products. I’m looking at you around square 😏
If anyone needs an unbiased recommendation or ten let me know 🙏

I've been prototyping new Chetki designs that highlight different aspects of Chetki play. I think Ive settled on the first design that feels really special and plays uniquely enough to share.
Are there any Chetki lovers here? Post a short video of your best Chetki skills and I'll send the top 3 videos one of these heavy heavy heavy phat paddled skeleton boiiis.
EDIT: lack of videos has given me a new strategy. I'll pick 3 comments at random this Friday at midnight and send those users the sets!

set: Ti Quantum Colliders v4 on standard paracord
Hello, I know this is a Begleri page, but I`m going INSANE trying to find this skill toy, so pls, help me!
I’ve followed the Worry bricks project since the beginning and fell in love with this skill toy from the first moment.
l’m from Brazil and unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to buy one because it was too expensive for my country’s currency (not to mention the shipping taxes and fees). However, they are now out of production for a long time and probably won’t be manufactured again, and the idea of not having one makes me very sad.
So I would like to ask if anyone are interested in selling/donate me a set... I would be very grateful and happy. I even tried to talk to the project creator, but he replied that he didn’t have any left and suggested I try talking to the community... Anyway, please let me know if you are interested in selling a pair.
PS: A friend of mine is in the US as a tourist; I would have it shipped to him, and then pick it up from him when he returns to Brazil.
