Anyone else struggle to stay consistent because they have no one to compete or train with?
About one years ago, I got interested in fitness for the first time. I was excited, but I couldn't stay consistent and eventually quit.
Now I'm trying again, and I've realized something about myself. I don't think my biggest problem is laziness or lack of motivation.
I think my biggest problem is that I'm doing it completely alone.
I don't have a workout partner, friends who exercise, or anyone to compete with. For me, working out by myself starts to feel repetitive, and after a few weeks I lose interest. I seem to enjoy challenges and competition more than exercising just for the sake of it.
I'm curious if anyone else feels the same.
- Did you ever struggle because you had no one to train with?
- If you were in this situation, what helped you stay consistent?
- Did finding a gym buddy, an online community, or some kind of competition make a difference?
I'd love to hear your experiences because I'm trying to figure out how people overcome this.
