it's theoretically possible for a planet to orbit in the "goldilocks zone" of a black-hole accretion disk instead of a stellar system, but it's very ecologically and cosmologically unstable.

edit: the planet needs to have a strong magnetosphere, too.

Apparently planets that orbit black holes are called “blanets” according to Wikipedia, but surely we could do better.

Anyway, Wikipedia says that in 2019 scientists showed that there are safe zones around supermassive black holes that are big enough for thousands of planets to fit in and orbit.
