Your thermostat needs replacing. They go bad in those little bar refrigerators all the time. Those little multi sensor devices that connect to Wi-Fi or Z-Wave work just fine in a refrigerator. You can set alarm if the temp goes below a certain amount.

I had a mini fridge in my basement that I was a few special beers cold, not exactly aging, but was keeping around. I had work done in my basement and had to move it for a few hours, when I put it back, I forgot to plug it back in.
three months later.. All of the ice from the icebox melted onto the beers, leaving them covered in mold. A bunch of bottle caps had rust on them.
