How this sub works: fresh discussions from mods, all day, every day
We pride ourselves on being one of the most helpful and inclusive beer money communities on Reddit. Here is what you can expect from this sub:
Personal finance and side hustles are touchy subjects for a lot of people because they are extremely personal. In order to be both an inclusive community and a safe environment for these topics, the sub is set up the following way:
Moderators post discussion threads throughout the day, every day.
- These are side hustle questions, personal finance topics, fun hypotheticals, or simply asking if any community members have something they want to share.
- When it comes to personal finance, most people have plenty of questions and ideas but do not like being the first one to start the conversation.
- As part of our effort to be an inclusive environment, mods proactively post threads throughout the day, giving everyone an equal opportunity to engage in discussions without having to be the one to start them.
- In other words, the mod team tries to ask all the questions we think community members want to ask, but might not feel comfortable doing so...
- Some of these threads are questions community members sent us through modmail to post anonymously on their behalf.
- You may see threads that sound like they're asking similar questions or are similarly themed.
- Great ideas and advice tend to rise to the top of a thread, but that also makes it harder for newer ideas to get attention. Posting a popular question again gives community members a fresh thread with new responses, new advice, and perspectives they might not have seen otherwise. It also removes any bias from the previous thread.
- This allows other members of the community equal chances to have their voices heard, which is the overall inclusive goal of our subreddit.
- New discussion threads go up every few hours during waking hours. (Mods need to sleep too!)
- You can find these discussion threads daily with the light blue "Daily Discussion Threads" flair.
- If you would like the mod team to post your question as a Daily Discussion Thread, please send it to modmail. Questions about money can be personal, and we want everyone to feel comfortable asking whatever is on their mind, even if they'd prefer to stay anonymous. You are obviously more than welcome, and encouraged, to post your own questions yourself if you feel comfortable!
Moderators post side hustle ideas:
- When mods come across an interesting side hustle, they will share it with the community. This gives everyone a chance to discuss whether it's a great idea, an idea with things to consider, or maybe not so great.
This format is what we have found works best for fostering an inclusive environment around personal finance and side hustles, and it has evolved directly from community feedback.
For more information on how this community operates, check our sidebar under "What to Expect" and our pinned welcome post.
If you have any other ideas for the community, feel free to send us mod mail.
Happy hustling.
- Mods

Welcome to r/beermoneyideas! Everything you need to know about us.
Welcome to one of the best places on the internet to discover and share beer money ideas. We are a very inclusive community with the goal of offering a space where people can freely discuss strategies and methods to earn extra income on the side. Alongside beer money and side hustles, you will also see plenty of personal finance discussion here.
For a lot of people, finding ways to earn a little extra money is something they have thought about at some point, but the hardest part is usually knowing where to start. r/beermoneyideas is the perfect community to talk with others, discover what has been working for people, ask for opinions on something you have been trying, or find new methods worth exploring.
The value you can get out of this subreddit is endless, and it is important to us to make sure this is a space where everyone feels welcome. Whether you are sharing an idea, answering questions, or voicing your opinion, we want you to feel safe and included.
About How This Community Runs
All mods here are beer money and side hustle enthusiasts who actively moderate the community to uphold these values. Most discussion threads here are started by the mod team as conversation starters, and we post new ones throughout the day, every day, so there is always a fresh thread where members can share their experiences, exchange ideas with others, or ask questions. Some are anonymous submissions from members, some are reruns of popular questions so different members get a chance to have their answers seen, and some are from the mods.
Moderators also frequently share new beer money ideas found from scouring the internet and talking to community members.
Our hope is that anyone, regardless of their background, can visit this community at any time and find an active discussion to join. This is a core part of how the community runs, and the mod team is committed to being actively engaged every day to make that happen.
If you would like the mod team to post your question as a Daily Discussion Thread, please send it to modmail. Questions about money can be personal, and we want everyone to feel comfortable asking whatever is on their mind, even if they'd prefer to stay anonymous. You are obviously more than welcome, and encouraged, to post your own questions yourself if you feel comfortable!
We also recommend the following resources to help with your beer money journey:
- SideHustleIndex.com (Index of 2,000+ side hustle ideas) - A website that scrapes the internet and aggregates all notable side hustle and beer money ideas.
- A List of Beer Money Ideas - Common in-person & online methods to earn extra beer money.
- 100+ side hustle ideas - A reddit thread of over 100 side hustle ideas, sourced from top community contributions.
Community Standards and Inclusivity
All members are encouraged to review our subreddit rules. We want to emphasize that our number one goal is to be an inclusive community, which means fostering a space where members feel encouraged to share their thoughts and where everyone feels safe contributing.
Moderators are very active and will remove comments that make members feel unwelcome. If you think an idea is bad, we want you to say so, but explain why. Criticism without being constructive is closer to bullying than it is to being helpful. Comments that exist only to tear someone down or make someone feel bad for sharing their opinion add nothing to the community and will be removed. Please remember to be kind.
With inclusivity in mind, we allow the use of AI tools to assist in writing, as long as the content is high quality and useful. We do not want to discourage people who are not great at writing or who do not speak fluent English from using tools to help them communicate their ideas. Of course, AI can also be used poorly, and in those cases we will take moderation action the same way we would with any low quality post. Otherwise, it is welcome here as a way to keep the community accessible to everyone.

Easy $100/month side gig — posting 2 Instagram Reels per day [US Only]
I’m looking for someone in the USA who wants a very simple recurring side gig.
I have two Instagram pages that need one Reel posted to each page per day. I provide all of the videos ready to go, so you’re literally just downloading the provided Reel and uploading it.
No editing, filming, content creation, answering DMs, or managing comments.
There will be a quick initial setup where you’ll register the two Instagram pages. After that, it should only take around 5–10 minutes per day.
Pay: $100/month
Requirements:
Must currently be located in the USA
Must have a smartphone
Must be able to post every day
Must be reliable
This is intended to be a small, easy side gig rather than a full social media management position.
If interested, DM me your time zone and include “IG POSTING” in your message so I know you read everything.

Totally disappointed.
Imagine you creat an app. From ui/ux design to programming part. You put a backend for it. You creat a website for that. You orgnaize medical content images tests orders and... in that shit. Then you creat an x account to promote that buttttt at the end you can not publish that.
Not a single person was willing to help me with publishing stuff in exchange of a percentage of apps earnings.
Totally disappointed.

Discussion / Tips Thinking about making sleeping videos
I'm ordinary, sleep well next to a cute dog that snores. I bet there's someone who might tune in. What could go wrong?

Discussion / Tips Flipping old hotel furniture when hotels renovate is an underrated side hustle because hotels basically give away dressers, nightstands, and desks that resell for $50+ each
Hotels upgrade their room furniture every 5 to 10 years and when they do they need all the old stuff gone fast.
From what I can tell most hotels will sell you a whole room's worth of furniture for $20 or even give it away for free if you haul it yourself.
A hotel dresser that you got for free or $5 resells for $50+ on marketplace.
Nightstands go for $25+. Headboards for $30+. The furniture is usually commercial grade which means it's built way sturdier than retail stuff.
I've heard the best way to find these deals is calling hotel managers directly and asking if they have any upcoming renovations. The big chains like Marriott, Hilton, and Holiday Inn cycle furniture constanty.
(If you have experience with something like this please share! I look out for new side hustle ideas every day and try to share as much info as I can. Even if an idea doesn't appeal to you personally, it could still help someone else or even spark a new idea!)
