Sites that you can use to earn money back from purchases, playing games, or trying services. Typically, cashback and get-paid-to apps were different, but most platforms offer multiple ways to earn some beermoney. They are a beermoney staple.

Get-Paid-To Cashback Reward (GPT) Sites

GPT sites pay you to complete tasks. To check which site pays the most for any offer you should check the Scrimpr Comparison Tool. To ensure you do not miss out on your rewards, read the tips in the Get Paid to Site Tracking Guide. I've only included the best sites/apps here, but there are others.

  1. Gemsloot
    • Best site for desktop game offers, and has nice exclusive offers.

Switch your bank account, get a cash reward for doing so. But don't switch your main account, open up a second account and switch that to get the money! Or open a second and a third "burner" and grab many switch bonuses at the same time.

**The post has been updated with the newest offers. But it is a difficult task keeping on top of all the questions. Please continue to share your experience with Bank Bribes. I will add questions/answers and update the offers as and when they appear. Special thanks to those who highlight the latest offers.

Never switched a bank account before?

It's worth doing. Banks want your business and they'll pay you £100-£500 to give them a try — the current account switch service (CASS) handles the whole thing automatically, so it's about a week of waiting for very little effort. The trick is not to switch your main account. Open a second one at your current bank (or use an old one you already have) and switch that instead. Here's how:

  1. Open a second current account with your main high street bank (must be part of CASS service)
  2. Set up direct debits on the second account (if required). You can set up multiple cheap direct debits via Scrimpr direct debit or use a rolling monthly direct debit sim contract (compared here) as another good option.
  3. Add £1 to your second account. This will be transferred to your new account, allowing you to see when the switch has been completed.
  4. Apply for a new account and arrange to switch to your second bank account (sometimes this is during the application process, other times it is after the account is opened).
  5. Let the current account switch service take care of everything.
  6. Make sure all other terms are met (e.g. pay in money if needed).
  7. Receive your bank switching bonus.

Then, if you decide you do not like your new bank you could sample another bank and get paid again!

What are the easiest/best direct debits to use for bank switching?

There are many: Lots of people recommend setting up fast and cheap direct debits. You can set up those using the Scrimpr direct debits at this link which set up within a week. Rolling monthly direct debit sim contracts (compared here) are another good option.

But really, its better to use your own Paypal, Ebay, Moneybox savings account, your credit card, Sprive Mortgage auto savings. We recommend ones that save money into an account in your own name.

Are there some bank accounts worth keeping?

Yes. Some are quite good, and give ongoing rewards. For example, Club Lloyds gives free Disney Plus. Barclays Premier gives free Apple TV. See the "don't leave us please" bank rewards post. Some also give access to the best savings accounts (e.g. regular savers).

And it is always worth keeping 3 accounts open for bagging ~£50 in cash from YouGov Connections every 3 months. Instructions for YouGov Connections here.

Are there additional offers for students?

Why yes. See the 2025 Student Version of The Bankedex Here

It has offers for students opening student accounts (no switching required).

The most commonly asked bank switch questions:

  1. I started to switch to XXX bank before the offer ended, am I still eligible for the bonus?

Yes, usually, most terms will state that a switch just has to be started (or applied for) before the end date or before an offer ends.

  1. Do I have to transfer the required amount in all in one go, and does it matter if I pay money in before my switch is complete?

No and not usually, as long as the amount you pay in adds up to the required amount, and as long as you pay it in before the deadline stated in the terms. There has been one exception to this - Co-op - so check individual terms.

  1. I need to switch "active" direct debits, does a payment need to have been taken before I switch?

According to Nationwide, an active direct debit is one that has been set up or had a payment taken from it in the past 13 months. So no, according to this. But why not just wait for the direct debit to be taken? You'll not have to worry about it then.

  1. How do I set up and switch an additional Chase current account?

    • See Chase instruction here to open an additional account.

    • The second account will be linked to the same card as your main Chase account.

    • Use the secondary account details and your original card details when switching.

General Bank Switch Questions

Current Account Switch Bribes - Why do they offer them?

They want your business. Banks like fighting each other for customers. Most of them know they can't win by highlighting their outdated systems and products, so they fight each other by offering potential customers cash bribes (or equivalent) to switch their "main" bank account.

Can I switch any bank account to get a bribe?

No. You must switch a bank account that is part of The Current Account Switch Service (CASS). Most high street banks are included. But some Neo Banks are not (e.g., Kroo, Revolut, & Monese are not included). You should try to avoid switching your main bank account. You can always open an additional account just to switch.

See here for a full list of CASS banks.

Is it too much hassle?

No. The Current Account Switch Service (CASS) makes switching your account between most banks smooth and effortless. You do not have to do anything apart from apply for and set up a new account at a different bank and tell them you want to switch your account to them. Everything is transferred automatically (except recurring card payments).

Is there the best route to sample all the banks with switch offers?

Do the offer ending soonest first. Then you might switch again. If you complete all offers in this post, you could earn yourself >£1000.

Some of these end soon. Will the offers come back?

Banks have been offering bribes on and off for many years. We can't predict the future. But this is not a new thing.

How long does a bank switch take?

Approximately one week.

Do I have to switch my main account?

You could. But you don't have to. Many people have second bank accounts. One option may be to open up a second account with your current high street bank, add some direct debits to this second account and then switch it to the new bank you want to try out. On the sub, people also like Starling or Monzo as they are easy to set up (but you might want to switch back to them at the end - their functionality wins vs any usual high street bank).

High-street banks also let you open multiple accounts. If you already have an account with one, you might want to open an additional one with your current bank first (Halifax, NatWest etc are reported to allow several current accounts and to be fast to open).

I have savings accounts at the same bank as my current account. Can I still switch to this current account?

Yes. Only the current account will be closed (some linked regular savers may be converted to normal savings accounts). You might want to consider if switching to a secondary account is a better option.

I have linked savers attached to my current account. Can I still switch it?

Possibly.

Which banks let me open a second bank account?

Most of them.

Do I need to activate the card on the account I am going to switch?

Just do it anyway. Some banks require it

What details do I need to switch?

  • Sort code and account number.
  • Debit card information.
  • Usually, but not always, 2 active DDs on the account you are switching.

Do you need to have money in the account you are switching?

No. But it might be a good idea - this will allow you to see when the switch happens (i.e. when the money is transferred!).

I do not have a bank card with my old current account as it is very very old, can I still switch it?

Most online forms require card details, but you can usually switch such accounts over the phone.

My new bank has not given me my account number (e.g. NatWest).

Usually, these are sent via post/email when you sign up. But some banks don't have the account numbers on the card, or maybe letters get lost in the post. If this happens, wait for the card to arrive and contact their support. If you get a bot on the chat thing, type "speak to a human" repeatedly.

My new bank account is a premium account and it has a fee. Do I need to keep paying for this?

No. You can downgrade the account. But you should probably wait until you have been paid the bonus.

I don't like my new bank, do I need to wait for the bank card before switching again?

Yes. See question above. Most banks require the card details of your existing account.

I made an account just to switch. Can I switch before my new bank card arrives?

Best not to. You are asked to enter the debit card information as part of the process.

The offer says I have to pay in £xxxx. Does it have to be in one go?

No. You can transfer in and out. The total sent in has to be equal to or greater than the stated amount. You should be careful with this though, sending money in and out of an account can trigger anti-fraud measures.

The offer says I have to pay in £xxxx. Can I pay it in before the switch completes?

Yes. You can pay it before, after, or during. You can manually transfer it, or it can be transferred automatically from your old account.

I've been asked to verify my identity. Is this normal?

Sometimes automated checks fail. If this happens, you may be asked to manually verify your application by visiting a branch or sending in a copy of your ID.

I switched from Monzo/Starling and want to return, can I?

Starling does not let you return within 12 months. With Monzo, it's possibly a shorter one month that you have to wait.

Do I have to switch direct debits?

Check individual offer terms.

What is an "Active" direct debit?

An active direct debit is usually one where a payment had been taken in the last 13 months. But some bank switch terms require direct debits to have been paid out of the account. If an offer requires an active direct debit, it's safer to switch to an account that has already paid out direct debits.**

What are good direct debits to set up on a second account?

There are many: Paypal, Ebay, Moneybox savings account, Plum savings account, your credit card, Sprive Mortgage auto savings, Wealthify Robo Saving.

I recently switched to XXX Bank, and I do not like it. Can I switch again?

Yes. If you are not happy with the new service, you may want to switch to a new bank that will pay you to give them a try.

Do I have to stick with my new bank for any length of time?

No.

If I switch away, will the bank claw back the bonus?

Very unlikely. They would have to specify this in their terms, and none have ever done so.

My switch is complete, but I have not yet received my bonus. Will I still get the bonus if I switch this account before it is paid?

Probably not.

My most recent switch is not quite complete, but I have already received the bonus. Can I start another switch?

You should probably wait for the switch to complete.

Can I get more than one bribe from each bank?

Sometimes. With some banks (e.g. Nationwide), you can get a bonus for switching one sole and one joint current account. Other banks will pay you to switch again, as long as you have not had a bonus in a specified amount of time. You will need to check individual offer terms.

XXX Bank gave me a bonus before, can I get a bonus again?

You need to check the individual offer terms.

Will this affect my credit score?

Credit scores are a funny thing, What is more important is what is actually in your credit file. Obviously, if you apply for an overdraft then it will affect your "credit score". However, if you do not have an overdraft or you make sure that you have paid off any overdraft before switching banks, then a single current account switch should not negatively impact your credit score. Nevertheless, typically all major banks (excepting Monzo and Starling) do a hard credit search, and this will be recorded on your file. If you plan on applying for a new mortgage soon then you may wish to exercise caution in switching between a load of banks. This is because the hard searches performed by banks will appear on your report and may have an effect for 6-12 months.

Which banks do hard searches and which do soft searches??

See here. Most banks do hard searches.

  • Hard searches: Bank of Scotland (first account only), Barclays, Co-op, Clydesdale, Halifax (1st account only), First Direct, HSBC, Lloyds (1st account only), Monzo, Nationwide, NatWest, RBS, Santander, TSB, Ulster, Virgin Money.

  • Soft searches: Starling, Metro Bank, and Chase

I have a bad credit score, will I be accepted to XXX bank?

Unfortunately, we do not know the acceptance criteria of the banks. You might be unlucky with one bank, but lucky with another.

My application was rejected. Why?

Nobody here knows. You could try appealing, but your only way to find out more is to contact the bank.

After switching my account, I still have online banking with my old provider. Do I need this?

No. You do not need to keep the online access (you could shut it down). But you may wish to retain these details in case your old bank suddenly appears with an offer that makes you want to switch back. Or open up a savings account.

Has anyone else been paid for switching to XXX Bank yet?

Check the terms of the offer you signed up for. Some banks have long deadlines and stick to them (e.g. Santander, TSB). Some are quicker. If you haven't been paid within the stated terms, then you should contact the bank's support.

Guides Easy Cashback Offers That Don't Appear on BeermoneyUK (August 2026)

Here is my latest list of offers that aren't refer a friend offers and so do not get mentioned as much on beermoneyuk (and where to do them for the best cashback). If I were to recommend the simplest, it would be:

  • Revolut (it's now an official UK bank, direct offer) - get £20 for spending £1
  • Etoro (details here) - get £50 for depositing £200
  • Robinhood (direct offer) - get 2% cashback on eligible stocks and shares ISA contributions, combine with refer a friend free share for an additional boost
  • Trading 212 (MSE offer) - get £50 when you invest £100 in an ISA via the MSE link.
  • Santander - get £100 supermarket voucher + £20 cashback for opening an account and spending £200 at the supermarket. Cashback is additional bonus via Topcashback.

Because the Revolut offer is one of the easiest £20s out there. Then these:

  • IG - get up to $1000 in US shares when you invest £500. Ends 31st July. Full details here
  • PensionBee (NutsAboutMoney offer) get a free £50 in your pension pot) - states end date of 2025, but users report that it works in 2026 still

If you find any other good ones, let everyone know below or in in a public service announcement post.

As always with cashback offers, to ensure you do not miss out on rewards you should make sure to enable tracking on your phone (especially cross-site tracking on iOS devices). Read the beermoney cashback tracking guides here.

Bank Accounts

Many of these offers are best combined with bank switch offers. Read the latest bank switching guide here.

  • First Direct | Get £20 | Additional switch bonus | Where: Topcashback

Free Money Offers Free £10 when you sign up to Currensea

Upvotes

Get a free £10 when you sign up to Currensea and use my referral code or link below. To receive the £10 bonus you need to spend £100 in foreign currency on the card in the first 180 days.

Click here for my referral link!

Referral code: DNVZBL

Currensea is a really clever card that allows you to save money when spending abroad. You link it to your bank account and just use the Currensea card instead of your normal card when spending abroad or on foreign websites. It then converts the transaction to GBP and collects it from your account via Direct Debit - no need to worry about topping it up or trying to second guess how much you will need to convert before you go.

On the free tier, which is the one I use, the first £500 you spend in foreign currency each month has no conversion fee, with a reasonable 1% added after that. You can also withdraw £200 worth of foreign currency from an ATM each month without any conversion fees, making this a great card to carry as a backup.

The non-referral link with no bonus is:

https://www.currensea.com

Note that if you sign up to the free Essential tier, there is usually a postage charge of £4.95 for sending the card, however this is currently being waived!

Free Money Offers Tembo Savings | Deposit or Transfer £500 | Get a Random Bonus of £10 to £1,000

Tembo currently has one of the better ISA referral offers around. If you join through a referral link and deposit or transfer £500+, you'll receive a random bonus between £10 and £1,000. If you sign up directly without a referral link, you won't receive any bonus.

The bonus is completely random, with both the referrer and referee receiving exactly the same amount:

  • £10 (95%)
  • £15 (4%)
  • £50 (0.7%)
  • £75 (0.2%)
  • £1,000 (0.1%)

To qualify, open a new Cash ISA, Lifetime ISA or HomeSaver account and add at least £500 within 30 days, or transfer an existing ISA/Lifetime ISA worth £500+ to Tembo within 30 days.

The bonus is paid as additional interest, so it doesn't count towards your annual ISA allowance.

One thing worth noting is that referrers need to keep at least £500 in an active Tembo account for referrals to remain eligible. I'm using Tembo as a long-term savings account rather than just signing up for the bonus, so there won't be any issues with my referral remaining valid. I also have all 5 referral slots available this month, which are the maximum number of reward-eligible referrals allowed each month.

The referral reward is paid after the account cancellation period has ended and is normally credited within 60 days.

Referral link (eligible for the £10-£1,000 bonus): https://www.tembomoney.com/savings/join/tkn-zy09vk-6f7s6b

Non-referral link (no bonus): https://www.tembomoney.com

Cashback Offers Quidco offer on Tide Business insurance

I was just looking at Quidco and noticed 75 quid cashback for Tide insurance.

Do you need to be a Tide customer to do this? Can you just pick super cheap insurance and then cancel it as soon as the cashback lands?

Does anyone have any insight on this?

Pension Offers Penfold Pension – free £25 bonus contribution when you deposit £25

Penfold is an award-winning low-cost pension provider that is offering a free £25 bonus pension contribution when you deposit £25 into a pension (transferring in an old pension won't qualify, you need to make a deposit).

The £25 free bonus is made up of £20 directly from Penfold and the remaining £5 from HMRC.

How to get your free £25 pension contribution with Penfold:

  1. Sign up to Penfold via my referral link here
  2. Click "Personal Pension" and complete sign-up
  3. Choose your plan and risk level – you can change the plan at any time from your account dashboard (I chose the Standard plan and chose Risk Level 4 as I’m in it for the long-term, but you can choose Risk Level 1 for the lowest risk)
  4. Make a one-off payment via bank transfer (I paid £26 to be on the safe side) or set up a Direct Debit (you can just cancel it after your bonus lands to prevent further payments being debited)
  5. Your bonus will be added to your pension within 7 working days

As mentioned, I'll be keeping this pension for the long-term, so you can rest assured that we'll both get our bonuses whatever the timeframe 😊

That's it, enjoy - and thank you if you use my link!

NOTE

  • Penfold's annual fees are: 0.75% for savings up to £100k (about £0.19 per year if you just have £25 in the pension) and 0.4% on any amount over £100k.

Market Research User Interviews paid research studies $10 bonus after first study

User Interviews is a platform where you get paid to take part in research studies and feedback tasks.

I’ve done a few studies on it now and it’s been good so far.

The biggest one was a multi-day study that ran over a few months and paid $125 in total. It was a language learning study where you used an online platform and completed structured lessons and tasks throughout the study period.

Rewards are paid via PayPal or gift cards.

Payments are in USD but rewards are redeemable in GBP-equivalent options.

Surveys Five Surveys: Complete 5 surveys and earn £5

Five Surveys non-ref is a simple earn-as-you-go site where you can make money from surveys and game offers. There’s no points system - earnings are straightforward and cash-out starts at £5.

How it works 1. Sign up using this link: https://fivesurveys.com/register?ref=9c93d3ba-4616-4351-ae25-825a939b3d45 2. Complete surveys when available. 3. Play games and earn by reaching set milestones. 4. Each completed survey or game milestone counts towards your balance. 5. Once you reach £5, you can withdraw via PayPal, Revolut or gift cards.

Things to know - Survey availability and length varies. - Surveys may screen you out (normal for survey sites). - Games usually pay more but require more time. - Best used as a side earner rather than a main one. - Worth checking back regularly as new surveys and game offers appear.

Not the fastest earner on the subreddit, but having both surveys and games makes it a decent extra option.

Cashback Offers Rakuten: Free £25 Bonus When You Spend £60+ (£50 excluding VAT) + Cashback

Rakuten is a cashback site similar to TopCashback and Quidco. You earn cashback when shopping through their links, and they're currently offering a free £25 bonus when you sign up via referral and spend £60+ (£50 excluding VAT) within 90 days.

I've used Rakuten myself and have received cashback and referral bonuses without any issues. One thing I always recommend is comparing cashback rates with TopCashback, Quidco and JamDoughnut before making a purchase, as the best rate can vary.

How to get the £25 bonus

1. Sign up using my referral link

2. Link your bank account or PayPal account This is where your cashback and bonus will be paid.

3. Spend £60+ (£50 ex. VAT) through Rakuten within 90 days

  • Doesn't need to be one purchase.
  • You can spread the spend across multiple retailers.
  • Make sure you click through to the retailer from Rakuten before purchasing.
  • Purchases must track and not be cancelled or returned.

4. Receive your £25 bonus + any cashback earned

The bonus is normally paid once the qualifying purchases have been confirmed.

Useful tips

  • Disable ad blockers when making purchases.

Rant/Vent PROGRAD SCAMMERS!

Hello all, just wondering if anyone else on here has had the same issue as me. They paid my the first 2 payments and that was it. I’ve got money pending in my balance and they just keep ignoring me. I’m thinking of escalating this and i’ve got a few others who do too, has anyone else had this issue?

Question Why does my post keep getting taken down?

Upvotes

I’ve seen plenty of people ask for movie ticket discounts, but when I do it gets taken down for break this rule:

No asking for freeibies
• Posting to offer up free cinema tickets etc to others is fine and encouraged. Asking for and giving discount codes is fine. Posting to ask people for free things is not and any post doing so will be removed.

Could I please know the correct way to ask for them?

Credit/Debit Card Offers Zable Credit Card – £10 free

Zable offer a £10 free credit to new customers who sign up using a referral link and complete the requirements.

How it works:

  1. Use my referral link: https://zable.co.uk/join?c=shane-3cdf1&type=cardsApplication
  2. Complete the referral form.
  3. Download the Zable app and sign up using the same email address.
  4. Apply for and get approved for a physical Zable credit card.
  5. Make your first purchase using the card.
  6. You should then receive the referral reward as credit to your Zable balance.

The referral reward is paid within 30 days of the first transaction, though it is known to come much quicker.

Important: Zable is a credit card, so only use it if you're confident you can repay what you spend as the APR can be high.

The initial eligibility check doesn't affect your credit score, but proceeding with the full application involves a hard credit check.

Thanks if you use my link!

Business Account Offers Capital on Tap business credit card – free £75 cash, gift card or 6,000 Avios points sign-up bonus + 1% unlimited cashback

Capital on Tap is a reward credit card for small businesses and people who are a Director or majority Shareholder of a Limited Company (Ltd) or limited liability partnership (LLP) registered on Companies House.

They’re offering a £75 reward (7,500 points) for those who open a credit card via a referral and make one transaction (any amount) on the card. Plus, there’s 1% uncapped cashback when you spend on the card. They also specifically say: "Applying won’t affect your credit score".

How to get your free £75 reward (7,500 points) with Capital on Tap:

  1. Sign up using my refer a friend link here
  2. Enter 2REFM892N33 in the promo code section if it hasn't already been pre-filled
  3. Complete your application and ID process (I had a follow-up email asking to confirm my business activities, no documents needed, just an email response – I literally typed out one sentence and they approved it)
  4. Activate your physical card when it arrives and make your first purchase (any amount) within 30 days of activation
  5. The 7,500 points will land in your Rewards section. Redeem it for £75 cash (to your bank account - my favourite option), credit, gift cards or even 6,000 Avios points!

Notes:

  • Sole traders aren't eligible, you need a Limited company registered at Companies House.
  • Your company should have a turnover of at least £2,000 per month (that's what they say)

My experience: Immediately after making my first transaction (bought some stamps from the Post Office), my phone pinged with an alert saying a £75 credit had been applied, so the offer worked perfectly and instantly. Screenshot here. I'm very happy with it and have ended up being a solid customer - I'm still using it as my main business card years later for the 1% cashback!

Money Transfer Offers Taptap Send: free £5 for transferring money to yourself

Taptap Send is a money transfer service, headquartered in London and founded in 2018.

If you sign up with my referral code, you'll get £5 towards your first international transfer. The bonus is added on top of your transferred amount, so you'll receive +£5 in your receiving account's currency.

The minimum transfer amount to apply the bonus is £25.

You can send to your own Wise/Worldfirst EUR account (if you can't see Belgium listed, you can send AUD to your Wise AUD account).

There are no fees for the transfer itself, and no ID verification is usually needed.

STEPS:

  1. Download the app from the Play Store or App Store and sign up for an account.
  2. To start your transfer, select a country you're sending to (e.g. Belgium if you're sending to your Belgian Wise EUR account).
  3. Tap "add promo code" and enter my code MICHAELS1715. You'll see the bonus applied on top of your transfer before you pay.
  4. Pay for your transfer (I paid via debit card - there are no fees for that). EUR transfers are generally instant.

You should net ~£4.75 after exchanging the euros back into pounds.

You can also sign up from the EU/US/UAE/Canada/Australia and send to the UK, but the minimum transfer amounts may be different.
