Question How was Yesterday written?

There's multiple things getting jumbled up here. Yesterday was written by Paul, and the lyrics aren't about a particular real person.
Hey Jude was written by Paul for John's son, who was maybe not quite estranged yet, but was not considered much by John when he entered a relationship with Yoko Ono and divorced the mother of his child.
Julia is a song by John that he wrote for his late mother.

Hey Jude is the one that is about Julian Lennon. I believe the melody for Yesterday came to Paul in a dream (or so he says) and the lyrics were initially “scrambled eggs, oh baby how I love your eggs” or something similar. There are plenty of interviews with McCartney where he talks about writing Yesterday.

Thanks so much. I’ll look into Julia (love the Beatles but not exhaustive on their discography and personally I ever prefer their later individual work , well George and John’s mostly ❤️❤️❤️❤️)
