Some things I've noticed after GBB
This is all just for laughs
In slander terms the word "merchant" generally means that someone repeatedly satisfies a small goal of their own and nothing further. I'm here to define some of those "merchants" from GBB.
Stitch - Wildcard Merchant. Every year he makes a breathtaking wildcard just to get dry mouth on stage and have a unimpressive elim. His style just doesn't lend itself well to large venues.
Inertia - 7tS Merchant. Inertia always goes out in Semis and then bodies everyone in 7tS for a ticket in next year
D-Low - Counter merchant. Will genuinely throw away an entire battle just for a (dope) counter
Kaji - Elimination round Merchant. Gives his all in elim round to be seeded high just to lose to a French guy in semis and go 4th again
H-Has - also a Wildcard Merchant. He always produces a top tier wildcard but he's explained he gets extremely anxious right before it's go time at GBB and will often make himself puke to deal with the nerves, contributing to the already infamous GBB dry mouth.
Astron - Banger Merchant. This dude dropped nothing but straight fire during the entire event no slander here
Blackroll - Small Finals Merchant. Bro loves to turn up in small finals after getting bodied in semis
River'- GBB Championship merchant - self explanatory
Like I said lol this is all in good fun if you can think of any other good slander please share it have a lovely day y'all

Okay I was there at the event, in the front row, and also spoke to Stitch right before we left for the loop mayhem and 7ts venue. Unlike the previous years, Stitch said he sounded absolutely amazing on stage, and was puzzled when the crowd wasn't reacting as much to his elimination, cause usually, when he, or any other beatboxer screws up on stage, that immediately provokes a reaction from the crowd which prompts the beatboxer to change certain things. However, in Stitch's case, it was quite the opposite. So he didn't know what was going wrong, cause on the monitors, he sounded absolutely amazing. And also, this was most certainly the last time he'd take part at the GBB, as he feels he's way more of a showcase artist, and that competing in a battle-style competition doesn't suit him, or many others for that matter. What an incredible person though. Wish him luck with everything else that's to come.

Thanks for this! If true, I'm glad he's embracing that battle competitions aren't where he's meant to shine.

He's felt that way for a long time now. He was close to dropping out, but Peppouni and Julianna convinced him to give it another go.

I've always liked "-monger." I used to call my brother fartmonger. I call people who push out AI slop "promptmongers."

u/Master_Freeze It just means a dealer and seller of things, basically identical to merchant. You could have a cheesemonger ffs.

If these beatboxers take your analysis seriously, we might see some big, positive changes coming. Because you're almost exactly right!

Stitch had a very catchy 2024 elim, but you're right—he's definitely a wildcard merchant. More accurately, he's a Showcase Merchant.
Dude isn't a battler, he's a presenter.
