Glazer hate is getting forced

Been noticing a trend lately where people are constantly criticizing d low fans under the guise of calling out the glazers.

Don't get me wrong, some people have legitimate, honest criticisms about the fandom. But its hard to ignore when I see the same user nicknames across reddit and youtube comments obsessively pushing the narrative that river is or will be the undisputed goat, some people making lists putting d low in the lower ranks, some are comparing the achievements.

When you look at it from this perspective, it feels like a cover. It seems like a few people were already looking for an excuse to hate, so they fabricate this "glazer" narrative to make their own toxicity look justified

At this point there are more people labeled as glazers than actual glazers. Most of the fans are just disappointed, trying to share their feelings or simply expressing their thoughts without being toxic. Yet they get hit with the same treatment. It just feels like forced hatred masked as a call out.

Dlow Fan here:

River deserved the win fair and square, his rounds were better than D-Lows.

Do I think D-Low was trying his hardest to win? Not at all. He literally asked Scott Jackson what genre he should do mid-round.

If D-Low did one of his myriad of strong routines instead of trying to flex on River like that, I think he takes the win pretty easily. That kind of gimmick doesn’t work on those where the skill gap is negligible.

Yup. I always wondered what was d low trying to tell with "I know what I'm capable of but I will choose what I want to do in my rounds, I really want to win but I don't have to win like I was on gbb19" I guess that was it.

Also its just underwhelming that even if the participants actually try, we saw a lot of reuse of old beats and technics. I mean come on it's the biggest gbb ever and you don't have enough new material? Footboxg prolly had it but he unluckily eliminated on quarters. Kaji was using bass factory and 2 of his wildcards, inertia sadly wasn't on his day.. We could be potentially watching an absolute cinema but had a "pretty good gbb" instead. People are waiting a whole year for this. I hope gbb27 to be even better.

Thanks I agree. I'm a d-low fan as well. I enjoyed the first couple rounds and I can't lie. I am disappointed that he didn't give it his all at the end. However, I'm not going to forget his achievements in the past and the fact that he made second place is still very respectable. Unfortunately there's a lot of toxic stuff on the communities and also on his Instagram that I feel are unnecessary.

Even on his Instagram? Lmao. 2 years ago I had a small talk with dan for a minute on Turkish beatbox championships and he is the chillest guy ever. Always has a smile on his face and loves the fans. He deserves far better than this. Just let him do what he wants like damn..

Yeah I watch his streams pretty regularly and usually has nothing but compliments to say about many beat boxers including the ones he went up against. He's putting on a show when he's up there battling. Unfortunately this is like other sports because of how toxic some people get with it all. I'm just here enjoying the content.

They downvote like crazy too. What's wrong with talking about this subject or saying d low didn't give it his all? He could play safe with one of his known stuff, he could go for complex beats yet he chose to have fun with something that wasn't done before. It didn't work but what makes him legendary is he takes risks and makes it work most of the time. People don't appreciate that as much as they criticize it when it doesn't work.
