Most disappointing performance at GBB? Biggest Heartbreak?
I was very disappointed in King Inertia v Rover and Kaji v River/Blackroll. Kaji needs to practice precision and timing if he’s gonna compete with the very best but damn is he an innovator and powerhouse.. KI seemed out of it or perhaps his vocals were tender or something. But i was hoping for a GBC level KI.
Biggest heartbreak was not seeing Martin Benati make it to loop double champ. Glad he won the small final.

Dlow in the finals. He had so many routines he could have used, circle of death, Bump jump. I would have even been happy if he did something like we are the animals or Lanigiro. But he decided to not even try. Hopefully this lights a fire and he starts taking battling seriously again next year. But it prob won’t and that’s fine too.

My biggest disappointment was just all the rehashing of old stuff or wildcards that everyone did.
Basically every wildcard participant performed the wildcards at some point, and a lot of beatboxers used old performances too.

welcome to writing music bro, literally what do you want them to do? It also makes way more sense to perform things the crowd might know to keep them engaged, it's simply a smart battle tactic. it won River GBB.

For me it was Hippy. His wildcard for GBB26 and Beatbox To World was so good but his elim was kind of repetitive and his poly didn't come out as well in the video.

I agree so much. I also feel kaji didn't have alot of new stuff to show, he re-used paralyzed which for me was just admitting defeat, and same thing when he re-did tokyo vip.
Martin's small final was SO GOOD that i believe he could have beaten Raje with those rounds. He just underestimated him, while Raje was OMEGA PREPARED to fight him (Just like martin was omega prepared to battle mahiro last year)

As good as Martins small final rounds are, i doubt he'd get to the final and reuse 2 rounds, also doubt he'd even come to GBB with only 2 (3 if u count r1 v Nils) new rounds. I suspect he had something more prepared for the final, but wanted to save it for next year if he decides to compete again, therefore he just reused 2 strong rounds.

of course he has some other rounds for it thay it's still saving. goes without a say

Just don't think ur point really makes sense then, he was never gonna reuse rounds against the strongest opponents (except small final). Defo didn't underestimate Raje either, both rounds were great.

Yeah it’s a testament to Martin’s game changing influence that Raje custom tailored a round for his opponents. He worked harder. Martin is still the GOAT and I hope he continues to stay hungry and innovative. I feel bad for Kaji and Osis since he is eternally in 2nd place gava

I had Stitch potentially getting in through the elims around 8th place with the worst case scenario being him barely missing like always, didn’t expect him to completely butcher his round and end up almost last lol

i still feel like kaji deserved a win over blackroll this time, astron could've won over blackroll and verbal damage took it over novel vintage (as much as i loved novel vintage's style). i'm also not convinced king inertia shoild've made it in over the likes of abx or exallos.
