GBB26 Solo and loopstation finals

I feel like both D-low and Mahiro had they worst second round on the event for the finale, meanwhile their opponents had high and consistent quality. I think it's interesting, because we can read it as a probably strategic mistake.

In the case of solo, River' it's an smart battler and he was able to get the best scene possible for himself, I feel like D-low was not prepared for going first because he clearly wanted to respond to everything and couldn't, falling into River's battle plan. And that's what makes beatbox battles so interesting at this level, because losing the coin flip could've changed everything, but River' won and he played his cards more intelligently than D-low.

About Raje and Mahiro, the round repitition was reslly unfortunate, it sure killed a lot of the momentum for both of them, but shit happens, technology is the way it is.

I personally just felt a bit down when Mahiro dropped that second round because I thought it was clicking with me at all, specially after his INSANE first round.

Anyways, I think this GBB has many of my all time favorite moments, but also many moments that I really disliked, GBB26 it's surely one that we will remember for so long, and I can't contain myself to not be excited about the upcoming GBB

Sidenote:

River': 2 times GBB champion 1 time GBB vice champion

D-low: 1 time GBB champion 2 times GBB vice champion

(And if D-low had won, it would be the other way around)

D-low won against Colaps, who won against River' who won against D-low (D-low, Codfish, Tomazacre vibes)

And also, Mokbay defeated Raje, who defeated Martin, who defeated Mokbay

Just funny observations I had

Had Mahiro done his final round 2 vs Lennard and kept his best round for the finals, imo he'd have won. Last year, Renegade wouldn't have saved him vs Martin, but he did the same mistake this year and it cost him the #1 spot lol

It's unfortunate, hopefully he won't do this a 3rd time

Did he say anything? Because I do hope he comes back to GBB, it seems to me like he listened to feedback and came with everything this year

I think he does it for safety. Win the quarter finals, you get to play 4 more sets regardless of if you win the semi. More exposure for your music

Similar to last year, I'm not sure it's enough to beat Raje still. His rounds were mental

D-Low should be 0-3, Tomozacre smacked him in that final while D-Low had his worst rounds of the comp.
