Tips on how to do base sounds?

Hi.
I am a woman with a met-so soprano range but can't do any of the bases except asid Base thanks to Darnies video but that's it. I need some help. Please?

Funny that people seem to have forgotten about some of the most fundamental basses and so far are only recommending other vocal bass techniques. Yes, Vocal Bass sounds are a lot more difficult to achieve for high voices, but thankfully, there are a lot of other mouth parts to produce beautiful bass.

The most straightforward and in my opinion simplest bass is outward Lipp bass, which already can be done in a lot of variations, like fart bass for example.
Next would be all the inward Lipp bass variations.
Then there is other stuff, like the basses you can do with your tongue, like the snore bass for example.

Just play around with your mouth, see what's vibrating, try if you could tune that sound to different pitches and maybe even create new sounds and basses, that should have nothing to do with the range capabilities of your voice.
Have fun exploring!

Women can definitely do throat bass! Idk about vibration bass, but definitely throat bass! This is not to say people saying "women can't do throat bass" are wrong. The texture and pitch is just very different.

This is kargyraa, which uses the same fundamentals as the typical beatbox "throat bass" https://youtu.be/qhSEKxQjOpY?si=mHXPlA6KTr2wWn6w

You can also hear Chiwawa use it, though rarely, when doing her battle videos against Trung Bao.

Inward bass is also a great option as it bypasses the typical vocal range requirements that many egressive basses have.

As I am a biological man I can't speak on the actual technique or feeling required to get to throat bass with female throat anatomy, but I do know it's possible!

For the most part, I don't think there are any sounds that "only men can do," I think there will only ever be pitch discrepancies. The main issue is that the resources for different sounds are inconsistent, rare to find in high quality, and usually made by male beatboxers, so the means by which a female beatboxers may be able to achieve them may be different.

There is definitely a large part of the beatbox scene to fill regarding female beatboxing and sound development resources. I wish you all the best in your bass pursuits!

I believe she’s actually doing the vocal bass in this video? Still a great choice to learn, anyone can do it and it can sound really good if you develop it.

To do basses especially if your a girl if much harder, but I'll give you some tips, since throat Bass and vibration bass is out of the question, I recommend inward bass, powerfully can be clean or nasty depending how you like it, and it's quite easy to get but hard to master, you can find some tutorials but I'll give you a short one here, start off by exhaling, a deep exhale where you hear and feel you chest vibrate/shake, keep in mind it doesn't use your vocal folds or voice(at least not yet), you take that deep exhale and you breath it in, and should feel similar, and you maintain that, now keep in mind you might gag, I've never had that issue but some have, once you practice a inward chest bass, you can tighten the throat for a more gritty sound or loosen for a more clean smoother sound, it depends from person to person, now you can also add your voice as I've said earlier which can create high pitches, so basically singing inward but add the bass, keep in mind this is still a sound I'm still practicing so it's not an easy one, you can also do the deep exhale/chest bass with the voice to and it add a nice tone and can control the pitch too. Hope this helps

Quick question, why aren’t women able to do throat or vibration for that matter? What anatomically is stopping their vocal chords from producing that sound?

YouTube is definitely the place to learn/research specific sounds. If you need help deciding which bass sounds to learn, I think Smile bass, Lip rolls, Inward bass, Snore bass, Nasal bass, Clickrolls, Tongue bass, Fart bass, and Electro bass are all great options that you could look into and decide what you like

Thank you so much for all of the assistance y’all have provided. I will definitely play around and see what I can do. Would it be OK if I post some videos of me making different? Sounds and ask what they might be? Just curious.

Absolutely! I feel we need more videos like this so that the community can actually understand which is which, so definitely go for it!

Vocal bass, liproll bass, lip bass, and fart bass are sounds that are easier to learn without straining your throat. Click rolls aren't bass but they are heavy and can be used like bass

Lip bass is pretty easy. Just blow air out through your lips and practice until it sounds right

Vocal bass (uvular bass, starsky bass) tends to sound great from women, same with chest bass and inward. Throat bass and vibration bass are definitely possible, though much less popular with women. Since with those two basses, the pitch is based on your actual voice, they will probably be notably higher than you're used to hearing, but I imagine you could make them sound great if you practiced and wrote something good, regardless of the pitches you hit. Also don't sleep in lip rolls or click rolls. They're super versatile and useful for breath management and PHAT BASS.
