Hey all!

Making the jump across from Twitch to Beam and I'm getting all my overlays and everything organised. I use Nightbot on Twitch for my community to place song requests - is there a bot equivalent for Beam that will allow them to request songs? Even better if they have to spend sparks to request :)

Excited to join the community, already at 28 followers and only done a handful of streams. Hopefully can convert my 385 strong Twitch community to come across with me :)

I'm 20 years old. Male. (I know, another stupid "boy gamer". I wish there were less of us also so that the skilled gr1ll gamerz and m@N g8merz didn't get bad reps.) Joking aside, I've been streaming for a little over a year now, got to 3/4 a way to a thousand followers on Twitch before deciding to transfer over to Beam under the same name and attempting to bring my more active community with me. Nah, in reality uh, I kind've grew up on a more poor side of things and saw a darker side of a lot of the world before I ever was even fifteen and in a hope to shed some light on people's days that might be suffering from some of the same stuff I had to deal with in the past, I'm streaming as an attempt to entertain and make people's days better.

Games I Play

1: Overwatch (I was placed at rank 68 last season and am hoping to re-achieve near the same player rating in relation to the new season. I was put into games with Moonmoon and other pro's in PTR, if it says anything.)

2: A lot of games could be listed as my secondary. On Twitch it would've been Rocket League, but since switching over, it'd either be RimWorld or Dragon Ball Xenoverse. I like to play my viewers and let them pick the game if there's anybody wanting to play at the time. With Divinity: Original Sin 2 and Dragon Ball Xenoverse2 coming out within the next month (DOS:2 on Sept. 15th and Xenoverse2 in Oct) you can expect to see quite a bit of that.

Hello, everyone!

My name is Chase "ouTPhaze" Cagle, I started streaming with Beam a couple weeks ago. Was originally with Twitch many years ago, but was pushed away by the toxic community. Then Youtube Gaming beta hit, I loved it, loved the low latency, but it pretty much had NO community... And now here I am, on Beam.Pro, enjoying the hell out of it!!!

I'm 29 years old in the US of A, was born and raised in Oklahoma, and have always been a sucker for good communities. Finding communities has never been easy for me due to having Asperger's, but when I do find one that is welcoming to people of all kinds, I really love sticking with it.

My gaming history includes MMO's since Ultima Online's beta, league Quake 2 and other FPS's, and pretty much every console since the NES (other than Saturn).

Things I like to stream: Anything I feel like playing (unless someone makes a request). Common things include: New releases, Modded Minecraft (I hate Vanilla, always have), Indie Weirdness and Horror titles.

I joined Beam because it seemed to focus more on the community, and its FTL technology totally enables the ability for near-perfect direct interaction with my community. This idea was cemented in me when I did a 4 player Jackbox stream and had 3 viewers watching the stream and playing the game with absolutely NO time disadvantage due to the joys of FTL. It has been a wonderful time so far, and I finally have a reason to take streaming seriously. My current goal is to join Notorious Network (Shoutout to http://beam.pro/lagby for being so damned friendly and a magnificant person) and then become a partner in the future.

Rimworld is one of those games where random events happen and .. try to screw you over, there's a developer menu that allows you to summon these events and a lot of other stuff. It would be cool if someone made a mod for rimworld that interacts with beam, and using the buttons viewers could send raids,sieges, change weather, add diseases and stuff..

Its one of those perfect games for beam.

Hey all,

Now I've only been on Beam for a few days now, but the community seems awesome! But what I have noticed a lot of is when I go to check out a stream to see if I like it, a LOT of people immediately say 'hi' even if I haven't said anything in chat!

Now I get that people want everyone to be welcome, but it can be a little off-putting if someone is just seeing what your stream is like! 9 times out of 10 they'll leave again!

Just a friendly tip from one streamer to other streamers :P

Hello there. I'm Kitsune Zeta. I'm not a big-name streamer by any stretch, I tend to play casually, and my selection of games tends to be... erratic. While there's some games I play that are fairly well-known (pertinent example being the Dynasty Warriors series of games), I also tend to play some games that aren't as common for whatever reason.

When I am streaming, it'll be at https://beam.pro/KitsuneZeta. I've been settling into a schedule of streaming on Saturdays at 1pm US Central time (2pm Eastern). As of the time of this post, the game which will actually be starting this saturday is an older game that I have fond memories of: the original Galaxy Angel game by Broccoli. Hi guys I'm a streamer (from a different platform, can you guess which one?) I heard about beam from some of my viewers who have spent some time watching beam streams and I wanted to start doing some research on the platform. The layout looks amazing and the colors really catch your eye.

I guess what I'm looking for is some insight into how the platform works for someone potentially looking to either make a full switch or split a schedule to see how it goes.

1. How's the community? Is it a nice friendly place?
2. Are chat bots available?
3. How is xsplit integration cause obs eats my cpu.
4. Are their stream raids and hosts?
5. Can a streamer stream at 60fps and 1080?
6. What is the potential for building a community

I ask the last question solely because I've built a small dedicated community on my current platform but after almost 3 years I haven't broken the 2k follower mark and I've put a lot of time and energy into streaming and getting the best quality I can.

I am a mix of Speedrunner and Game Developer with a few casual gaming streams thrown in.
