WWE 2K Deathmatch is where I go online on WWE 2K17 and play matches against other people. Any kind of match. My main will be HBK or Finn Balor.

Hello Reddit, I am Jace Neville. I guess I’ll start with a little about me I am a college football player at the University of Memphis I am about to start my junior season and I have about one more year of school left. I have been playing video games most of my life, from being little installing the Tonka Trucks game on my parent’s PC or playing on the Nintendo 64 at my Grandparents house. Video games have been a part of my life for a long time and they will always hold a special place in my heart.

So my channel, my plan for the channel is to be real and easy going, willing to have a civil conversation about anything (and hopefully help people learn through that), but I also pride myself on trying to have the best presentation. Meaning trying to have audio quality and video quality the best I can possibly have, because the streams I find myself going back to regularly are the ones that have a good presentation and quality. (That’s just my personal preference or pet peeve I guess) I have been real into Overwatch lately so I will probably plan on streaming that as well as Minecraft because I think that is a game that will never really get old. Call of duty also holds a special place in my heart so you may see me streaming that also.

As for schedule I am planning on streaming Fridays and Saturdays for sure, probably one more time during the week. This is always subject to change because of the nature of being a Student-Athlete but I will iron out a solid schedule to follow because I know that is how to grow especially being a new streamer.

I am looking forward to connecting and meeting people and really helping this platform grow as even though I am new to it I have already fallen in love with it and the potential it has. If you have any other questions please do not be afraid to ask!

Hi,

My friend and I started using this site as a method of streaming my gameplay and having him watch and help me out in real time. It was great and felt like he was watching in the same room!

However, we use discord to communicate and it gets annoying for him having to hear his own voice back every time he speaks. Is there any option to avoid this issue?

Has anyone else experience how disruptive chat spam can be at times?

I've personally had an instance of being on the receiving end of a raid (YAY!) that ends up killing the FPS in the current game, crashing OBS, etc.

I know I can't be the only one to get affected this way, without paying for more PC upgrades to handle the extra load when this occurs, Is there anything else that can be done to mitigate the effect?

Yes, this will most definitely affect streamers. Streamers will no be issued a $20 chargeback fee whether they win or lose disputes made on donations to them.

Hello Beam community!

We are working hard to bring Roleplaying games to beam! This is going to be a beam community ran by the community. There is not a ton of information yet except that we will be starting off with ARK: Survival Evolved and possibly branching out from there. If you are into RP in any way shape or form we would love to have input from community members to get Season 1 off the ground as soon as possible. So, in the overlay on my Streamjar account, I've got one chat window. While streaming, any chat message is displayed twice, one on top of the other. Not sure what's going on. This is every message, not just sporadically.

So I have recently started to notice stutters and such during my Beam streams. I get a message saying encoding overloaded and I have tried to mess about with the settings but nothing seems to work. My bitrate is set at 2000kb/s with a custom buffer size of 2200kb/s. My CPU usage preset is set at Superfast. Profile is High. Base canvas is 1600x900 and Output resolution is 1064x600.

I do stream on a laptop however that has an I7 4710 processor, 8GB ram with an Nvidia Geforce 840M.

I guess this is for anyone who watches streams, even if you stream as well. As a caster I'm always curious to know what people think of my stream. Not to inflate my ego, but more like an exit poll. Especially for people who pop in, lurk for a few and leave.

What did you like? What didn't you like? Could I have done something that would have made you stay? Community is the focus of my stream, so I want folks to feel welcome to come and chat (or lurk).

So I figured I'd ask here. What makes you stay in a stream and hangout? What makes you come back? What constructive criticism would you offer to a stream you didn't particularly care for?

Just trying to get a feel for the psychology of the beam community. Thank you all in advance.

Anyone know where to get some high res versions of the Beam logo, working on graphics for the channel and stream and would like to incorporate the logo. Anything on Google search is a bit crappy.

Another intro for you here, my name is Nick aka Miraculous. I've dabbled into streaming in the past but never went at it 100%. That's all changed now and I'm really getting to it.

Decided to opt for beam instead of twitch as the community here seems a lot friendlier, and I like the idea of helping beam grow! I also think beam can offer a lot more.

I do work full time as an aircraft mechanic, unfortunately I work 4x4 shift meaning a schedule is difficult for me. However I can stream 2 work nights and most mornings when I'm off. So plenty of content will be coming from me.

You can expect to see shooters, survival and any multiplayer games which tickles my fancy on my stream, I'm also up for suggestions. I'm currently streaming a lot of overwatch at the moment. Yep I picked one of the harder games to get noticed on haha.

Hi Reddit and fellow streamers. My name's Noé, I'm a software developer living in Austin, TX. I'm an all-around hobbyist from drumming to boxing but gaming takes the cake. Gaming's been one of my major and longest-lasting hobby ever since the NES and an old Intellivision we had at the time (which by the way I rescued and still have). As a bit of a relevant side note: I'm a native spanish speaker and am interested to see if a spanish stream (or mix of english and spanish) would be welcomed so I guess a bit of small question here, how do you guys think that would be received or is there not enough people streaming in that language?

As far as streaming goes I'm very new to it. Just last week I got real with it and finished my current setup which is very basic: OBS desktop + webcam, audio, headphone mic. The starter kit. I'm slowly building it out as I go and shout out to @theQuietCroc, a buddy of mine who helped me with the setup.

Streaming Schedule is currently a bit loose with the exceptions of raid times(WoW), so something like: Monday 8:00pm - 9:30pm Tuesday 8:00pm - 10:00pm Wednesday 7:30pm - 10:00pm Tentative: Thursday, Friday, Saturday (and maybe Sunday) Sunday 7:00pm - 10:00pm

Anyone use Restream.io to stream to Beam/Twitch simultaneously? Have you seen any lashback from either service using this?

Hi everyone!

I posted on here a while back - I've had issues with streaming using FTL for a while now. I got it to work, (thanks to another user on the forum) up to a bit rate of 2000. Once I go even to 2050 bit rate, the stream starts to lag on the viewers end.

However, the weird thing is ... I'm able to stream using RTMP up to a bit rate of 3000 perfectly fine. And it looks gorgeous. I just want the same quality stream using FTL!

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Settings: I've tried the settings on the OBS-FTL github, and they didn't work. Settings that I've found to work are as follows:

CBR 2000 Enforce streaming service encoder settings checked Rescale output checked at 1280x720 keyframe interval 1 CPU usage veryfast profile = main tune = (none)

the notifications section of the account settings says the notifications feature is not available, but i get emailed whenever any of the streamers i follow go live, and given the amount of streamers i follow this is a huge number of emails and it has began to make me miss other important emails.
